Any NPC you make is yours unless you give others in the thread permission to play it. Then, if you leave the thread, people can still play it. But, if it is a common NPC like a family member, you can give permission per thread if other people are allowed to play it or not.

Could a body swap plot be possible? Is there any spell or potion that could make this possible?

Under "Fun Stuff" you should go in "Bot Spam" and just type in "t!roll 1d20"
