I agree with Marius on this, even if there are pre set prices some of the people who are making these orders may not agree to them. As many OOC shops have different prices set in the first place. As well as order forms, imo posting 'I request ---' is a bit to vague. That could make it difficult for the person making the order to make something for the person who ordered it to like. As well as many people having different order forms.

Exactly. When I look for banners or orders being made, I look at the creator's style and if I place an order, I expect my order to be done in THAT style not in anyone else's style. If I get a different style from what I'm expecting, I don't really want to pay for it because that's not what I wanted in the first place. I think most people are like that, otherwise they wouldn't care about placing orders at multiple shops and would just place an order at one shop. You place orders at multiple shops because you like that specific person's style of making things and expect to get something similar to what you see.

Just to piggyback on this, Hunter Argentum organised and modded a potions duel recently. I think he did a very good job of combinging the two systems into a smooth whole. If this is something being considered for sport duelling, do check out A Brawl Is Brewing!

In regards to shops - the issue with shops is keeping people honest. A user might make the request and have it picked up by multiple users and then the first to do it gets credit. What if the person ordering it does not like their style? Then there is costs among other issues. The point of the shops is that people now who they are ordering from and they like their work, agree to their prices and there is a level of responsibility between users. A large group of users van get together and make a shared shop with a similar outcome to what was suggested, but as I mentioned above there might be challenges.

I suggest a Herbology system where students can buy seeds and plant the Herbs!

We can do that already. Just maybe talk to the Herbology professor (@Nancy McLoughlin) if you want to do that.

However- regarding getting the ingredients for use in potions- you'll still need to buy the ingredients via the shops in Diagon Alley- if I'm understanding where this is heading.

You can rp growing them. You just need to buy the resultant plant.

I see issues with this.
- It's better to buy the plants that we have literally extensively added last year-
- You can say you have a seed and rp it growing
- To get extra money? I see an issue with the way that's stated. To grow a seed at 2k, then when it's in it's adult age- you get several sickles? That seems like a lot of problems.
