Stage 1 - Fall Races
The moment you've all been waiting for... the first stage of Broom Racing is slated for October 19th, meaning all racers have got just over two weeks to update trunks for the coming race. Don't leave it to the last minute!

Preptober:
Happy Preptober! Yes, it's already October (so NaNoWriMo is not far off!), which means that Preptober is in full swing, and with its accompanying prompts! For those unaware, NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) occurs during the month of November and is a month dedicated to trying to write 50,000 words of a novel idea or story you've been meaning to write. Since Hogwarts.io is a writing site, we encourage people to participate in NaNoWriMo and support each other in the process. To support those taking part, we offer Preptober Tasks (during October) as a way to think about the ideas you might have and begin to plan in preparation, and we also offer some prompts to support setting and character development.

iNPC Updates Opened
We have opened up iNPC to updates on existing iNPCs. This would be to expand your character's abilities, update their stats, make amendments to their backstory. Please be aware that the team is new, there may be a slow start as they get used to this workflow. The intention is to keep this open year-round.
Your iNPCs will be invited to Hogwarts for the Fall Ball in coming weeks.

iNPCs Arrival
iNPCs are anticipated to arrive in Hogsmeade this year on Monday, October 14th. A thread will be made for their arrival and Hogwarts students will be able to welcome back their long-time, distant friends (or rivals) in anticipation of the ball.

iNPC Arrive
This thread has been forward dated to Oct 14 so players can have a chance to roleplay arriving or responding to arriving at Hogwarts for another ball. iNPCs arrive in Hogsmeade and from there they will take a wagon to Hogwarts, please refer to the thread for more details.

For players that are not old enough (and do not have a fake permission slip), you can learn what has happened from the Daily Prophet in a few weeks.
This thread will be relatively fast-paced, so if you join the thread please be active or do not join at all and reference the events of the thread as they will be well-known IC at your personal pace.
You will also notice several new faces among the iNPCs - these being the faces of the professors and staff for these schools.

Stage 1 - Duelling
The first stage of the 2024/2025 duelling season will begin October 22nd with the IC dates as the weekend of the 26th-27th October! Trunks and Roster will lock October 18th, so be sure to get any final updates in quickly! Pairs and Matches will be announced the 19th of October.
Patch information will be released at a later date, closer to when the matches begin.
