Cory is a "Pureblood", he comes from a very well established pureblood line but his mother had a very short lived fling with a muggle man and thats how he was born. His entire thing is that no one can know he isn't a pureblood because it would ruin the family etc...
The whole thing is that Nic is Mika's cousin (their dads are brothers and theres A LOT of lore behind) and during christmas, Nic will discover that she's not the only witch in the family (M) and that her dad is not her dad lmao
