Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff 1st Game Finished

Edric smiled shyly when the girl beside him, was the second string Keeper, if he remembered correctly, apologized for shouting. "It's alright, we're doing really great!"

The scary-pretty Veela girl who had whipped their asses in their duel really was a damn good keeper. She'd blocked another shot at the goals effortlessly and Edric wished he had some of her confidence. Their whole team was great, really, how Erin – Edric had never met her despite being the same year and house, and he wondered if Marcia was friends with her – had knocked down that Hufflepuff Seeker had been amazing. She'd gotten pushed off her broom herself though, but at least she was still in the game by sharing the broom with Bridget.

Somehow Edric felt like the girls were running this team. It was a bit unfair, considering their Captain and first string seeker was still doing his best in looking for the Snitch, but all those girls... Harry wasn't as scary as half of them, Edric decided.

He watched as the Huffle's second string Seeker replaces the knocked out first string. She seemed somewhat familiar, but even with his sharp eyes it was hard to get a good look at her.

So much happened in a small amount of time, as was the norm for Quidditch. Ruby zoned out temporarily, and when she snapped back to reality, she saw that Koko was doing brilliantly. A sense of pride filled her on behalf of her friend's success, and a half-grin appeared on her face – a sign that she was feeling somewhat cocky. She contemplated staying quiet but decided to yell to openly support her team's keeper. “Yeah, Koko!” she hollered. “Keep up the great work!” To no one in particular, she proudly murmured (as if it wasn't obvious), “That's my friend.” She continued to watch the game intently, and she would make a point of congratulating Koko afterwards. The girl really was quite fabulous.

Was this what other team captains felt when they were playing Quidditch? This convoluted feeling of both adrenaline and panic? The Hufflepuff captain had managed to employ the Alley Oop with Julie, and they could have had it if it weren't for the Slytherin beater taking her down. But they didn't, and now she had to think of a new strategy to deal with yet another loss on her team.

The pressure was starting to creep over her. How did the other team captains do this? Could she even do this? The answer was, she had to. She had to keep up a brave face for the rest of her team. She couldn't falter in front of the enemy team. Merlin knew what would happen if she did. She had to prove to them that her team could do this. That she could do this.

Keeping her expression as determined as it possibly could be, she flew back into position, readying her bat once again.

“ KEEP THE PRESSURE ANNIE” Oliver shouted through cupped hands. The Hufflepuff Chaser was surely becoming a headache for the the flying snakes, but their keeper was working as their aspirin. Despite the two effortless blocks though, the flow of the game surely felt in the badger grasp. Moral was high on the bench, on the pitch, and in the stands clearly as the student section continued to root for the Badgers.

Feeling safe for it to take his eyes off the game for a brief second, Oliver looked to the stands. It didn’t take long for him to spot Jake, a Hufflepuff first year, dancing about in the badger suit he gave him yesterday at dinner. No wonder moral is high in the stands, Ollie thought to himself.

As sudden as ballon pop, the air seemed to be gone from the Badger. With a wack the balance of the game seemed to shift. With horror Oliver watched as Julie, the teams Seeker, fall from here broom. “Ughh we were so close.” The first year boy groaned in disbelief

MOCK COMMENTARY

The Quaffle is in the the air once more, Though this time there is a surprisingly lack of interested parties as only a pair of Hufflepuff Chasers give chase to it. Ultimately Annie Morgan makes the catch! Once the Quaffle is in her possession she makes her way across the field unopposed before she finally gets within reach of the goals and hurls the Quaffle towards the goal. Unfortunately for the Young Hufflepuff, Koko Riddle remains infront of the goals and she handily knocks the quaffle away once more. The Young Slytherin keeper is on Fire!

Meanwhile the new Seeker, Serena Towers, has taken to the field and her sharp eyes dart around the field quickly while the slytherin Seeker and Captain, Dan Palmer, also continues to hunt for the Snitch. The Hufflepuff either got lucky, or is just that good because while the Slytherin Seeker continued to fail to find the Snitch she was able to spot it almost immediately.

While The Hufflepuff seeker hunted for the Snitch one of the Slytherin Chasers decided to participate in the round finally with a blatch attempt! The Slytherin Alexx Severin came out of the blue and went to shove the poor Hufflepuff seeker from her broom, though despite her being successful she would not get away with that move un-punished.

"Severin! Penalty lap!" The Voice of the Referee boomed.

Thankfully Dawn Riley had been near by and was able to swoop in and pluck Serena Towers out of the air and bring her along for a ride on her broom. The hufflepuff seeker may be bruised, but her eyes were still locked onto the snitch zipping around the field.

As this went on Reid Kovacs saw his opportunity to get vengence for his injured team mate and with a skillful back beat strike set a bludger soaring straight for Bridget Collins and the unexpected backwards flying bludger struck her. Even with the reduced strength behind such a maneuver there was still more than enough power in the Hufflepuff beaters strike to knock both slytherins from the broom.

In an excellent show of teamwork Elena Jones and Nico Shymane caught both of their tumbling teammates on their brooms preventing anyone from being removed from the game.

What is going to happen next? Stay tuned!

Serena was up in the air within moments, taking flight as her eyes scanned the field. She had one focus. Finding the snitch. The Hufflepuff scoured the field with her eyes, looking for any sign of it. Julie had seen it - she had to find it for her. If nothing else, she had to avenge her fallen teammates. But mostly, they needed a win. The Hufflepuff morale was low at the best of times. They needed this win. She had to find it. Perhaps it was her determination, perhaps it was her luck. Either way, she spotted the glimmer of gold in the far distance.

Shooting a glance towards the Slytherin Seeker, she noticed that Dan was looking elsewhere. This was her chance. She knew it was a great opportunity. Serena kept her eyes on the snitch. But she could not go after it. "AARGH," She groaned under her breathe as she felt a force whack into her. The wind was knocked out of her as she slipped. Her hands let go off the broom. She was doomed.

Well... Almost... If it was not for Dawn, Serena would have hit the ground. The chaser caught her, "Thanks," She whispered gratefully as she caught her breathe, after a few moments. Her eyes stayed on the snitch, wondering if she could get to her broom or the snitch before she lost sight of it again. Whichever one it was, she knew she needed to get there. They had a snitch to catch - and that, was not an easy task. "Those dirty snakes... We need to get them back for this..." She muttered under her breathe. They had knocked out so many of her teammates already - and they were still going. They resorted to cheating because they could not play properly?

Some bloody cheater had hit her, after all. Why was she surprised that Slytherin was resorting to cheating? It was the cunning way. Though, Serena could not help but smirk a little as she heard a foul had been called for the Severin girl, who had hit her. Perhaps it was not as cunning as she had thought they were.

Saskia cringed as she watched the Seeker fall from her broom. She had been out defending Reid in case someone tried to come after him, but alas, nobody did. They went for Serena instead. She was grateful for Dawn. Who knew what would have happened if Serena went down? They only had so much time before the game officially ended and they haven't even got a score in, and they had to make the rest of their time count. As the game progressed, things were getting more intense. It was now or never.

It was a bit annoying that they didn't seem to be getting any goals, although she supposed there wasn't much she could do about it except maybe make them work on their aim during practice. But at least Reid had managed to get a hit on both Erin and Bridget. Things might have been looking up a bit for Hufflepuff, but this was no time to slack off. Saskia had a job to do, and she would do it right.

Asteria hovered there, hands shaking on the splintered hilt of her broom, as she watched multiple people topple from their brooms. Ouch. She couldn't help but wince, thankful to be away from the fray, thankful for gloves that protected her from her own broom. The one thing that she couldn't be thankful for though was the wind, which whipped against her, cold and cruel and lashing. But even then, she was thankful for her helmet and shorter hair, which kept her hair from being a nuisance and she watched the fray split across the field, watching for the fateful moment that a Slytherin chaser got their hands on a Quaffle and she would have to be ready for action .

"Yesss! Go, Annie!" Dawn whooped as Hufflepuff chaser Annie Morgan gained possession of the quaffle yet again. Annie raced down the field with the quaffle in hand, ready to score. As the chaser neared the goals, she attempted to score, but, alas, Koko Riddle blocked the goal, again.

It also appeared to Dawn that the new seeker, Serena Towers, had found the snitch. Dawn got angry as Slytherin, those dirty cheaters!, Dawn thought, knocked the seeker off of her broom. Dawn, who was always ready to help, zipped under the falling girl and scooped her up on her broom, ready for the ride.

Koko was doing what she was supposed to do and guarding the hell out of that goal just like she should be. Bludgers were flying all over the place ”Good job Koko!” She cheered looking over the rest of the game it didn’t seem to be completely in their favor here. Dan still seemed to be trying to find the snitch and that was troubling. “You can do this Dan!!!” She called out to him. It was silly to think that more cheers for him would help him find the snitch, but it couldn’t hurt either. “Come on Sly’s we can still do this!” She hated being stuck on the bench but at the same time it was either stuck on the bench or guarding the goalposts and she was happy that Koko did not have to experience what taking a bludger felt like.
