Second Year Graduation Party

INTERACTING: Mentions the people around him, exits.
He forced a laugh, cutting through his expression like a dull knife to rough stone, it was unrefined and delivered without grace. But his meaning was sincere, it was just hard to be right now. "I-I guess so. Thanks Bloom." Reid gently grasped the cloth and ice Bloom gave him. His fingers tangled in the folds as his trouble gaze seemed to switch from her to Nora as she seemed to appear again in his peripheral vision. What caused his fortified confidence to chip a little was Jensen's words and it wasn't because that he thought they were nice, it was that she was the last person in this room he expected it from.
His hardened gaze flickered like fire to the wind, breaking a little more when she said, "You did okay, kid." Some validation of what he did wasn't all that bad, that he didn't royally mess up, that was enough to make him tear through the doubt that kept at his heel this whole time. While it all unfolded, he had a silent battle in his head that he was shaming his house or that he wasn't setting himself up as one of the bad apples to the professors.
He already did that a few times over while he was at Hogwarts, it only worsened his perpetually thinning self-confidence. With his slowly cooling temper, he grasped the other iced cloth and put it to his head. The growing attention on him sort of put him on edge, he was eager to leave now. But this was a minor blow, even as Nora gave him a detention in front of the others, it wasn't as bad as he expected. He's already passed the hardest part of all of this, admitting to his mistakes and owning up to it, Reid didn't expect to be an exception to the school's rules.
But his fingers clenched into the fabric of the one that Bloom gave him, having a hard time with what to do now. Once the professor began to retreat and the party began to clean itself up, he was left with a cold feeling. Anger subsided into a dull ache, nothing more than a mere thorn in his side as he was left with a lot less interest on staying.
He glanced over at Marissa, offering only an apologetic look as he looked back at the entrance and rubbed the blood from his face. "Thank guys." It was all he said, enough salt on his wounds, he had some thinking to do and some energy to spend. "Sorry about the party, I hope you lot enjoy the rest of it." Reid was stubborn, but not unapologetic about things he felt some hand in doing.
The wizard promptly began walking out of the party tiredly, his legs ached from the dancing while most of his energy was spent on his emotions. His hand ran through his hair as he continued pressing the ice to the side of his nose. His converse trailed some of the blood he had stepped on as he made his way out of those big doors.
He seethed slightly as he raised his head, fixed his posture, and left the ball with some confidence in his stride. But once he left those doors, he sharply inhaled and pressed the ice closer to his nose, his brown eyes clouded as he made his way back towards the Hufflepuff common room.
EXIT.
"Trouble usually finds me."

Second Year Graduation Party
Interactions: OPEN
Mentions: Reid Kovacs & Dymphna Teague
Handing over the ice and napkins to Reid, she felt really good. It was nice to help a friend in need. However, the response given back from Reid was unreal. It wasn't the Reid she knew before. Usually he would be chatty and very humble about receiving someone's help -- at least that was what she knew about him. Now, he was completely different. After taking her ice and napkins that she offered him, he completely left the ballroom.
What's going on?... Bloom thought, wondering what had made him leave so abruptly. He looked scared, worried... something! She couldn't figure it out. Bloom looked around to find Dymphna who also looked worked up and saw that the blonde Ravenclaw was nowhere to be found either. Sighing, Bloom wondered if the two of them were okay. She had disconnected from the both of them since the beginning of their second year and since then, a lot has changed.
Bloom made her way back to the food where there were a lot of variety from fruits to vegetables, to sandwiches to desserts. If she loved to eat, she would have a blast trying them all. Bloom grabbed a turkey sandwich, watermelon and some chips on a plate. She then walked over to the nearest table where she could eat her small meal. Already, this was an odd night.
