Sere felt confident about casting a healing spell because she had succeeded in the previous round. She deciced to do the same in this round. She observed her teammates; both allies needed a stamina booster but this time Sere pointed her wand at Siobhan. This girl had done everything so well, including her Flipendo just now. Sere couldn't risk her team losing Siobhan.

"Reparifors."

What came after that was nothing. Not even a single light came out from the tip of her wand. "You've gotta be kidding me..." Sere felt a striking sensation in her chest, as if someone had hit her. Oh, this was not 'someone'. This was 'something': despair, precisely.

Sunday, October 19, 2025.
Afternoon.

And so, things picked up even faster than before somehow. The duel was sure to end soon, so Axyen supposed everybody was now going all out—which was both good and bad, good because it was entertaining for the audience and bad because now Axyen would have to take more people off of the stage. "Looks like wands are being aimed!" Axyen said excitedly, trying to focus back on the round after Mylo got knocked out last round.

"Vladislav is aiming at Jessamine!" Axyen announced as he watched the spell fly and miss, harmlessly hitting something off the stage. Sere then would cast the Cracker Jinx at Jessamine as well, Jessamine would attempt to dodge and almost did, but spell did manage to half-connect and that still did some damage. "Woah! Very close!" Axyen exclaimed as Edward was able to dodge the attack. However, Sere would find that they were also caught in the radius, which looked like it hurt a good bit. "Wow, three people were hit by that, it looks like—even Sere was hit by that! That's crazy!"

Jessamine would attempt to cast Flipendo and aim it at Siobhan! "Annnnd, that missed!" Axyen said excitedly, this duel was unpredictable in some of the best ways possible... and also some of the worst ways as well, because Siobhan decided to return the favor with their own Flipendo, which Jessamine wouldn't be able to dodge. Once they were hit, they made no further movements. "Ah, hey, hey! Stop! Everyone stop!" Axyen stepped forward, a bit anxious about becoming the next victim to a well-aimed knockback jinx, but he was able to get Jessamine safely off of the stage...

"Okay, Jessamine is down... continue." A slightly worried Axyen said, and perhaps he had a right to be worried, because after Siobhan's revenge Flipendo, Edward had their own revenge Flipendo, which Siobhan didn't get up from once they were hit by the spell. "A-Ah!" Back-to-back knockouts were something Axyen wasn't quite expecting, so he was a bit late in his response time, but he ultimately stepped forward. "P-pause again!" Axyen said, making sure Siobhan was off of the stage.

"Siobhan is out now... the duel is almost over... continue." Axyen perhaps wasn't as loud as he could have been, but the important thing was that the duelist heard it—and Axyen was confident they could hear him.

It was finally a hit, depite of her lowest mental condition, but... Is that not enough? Sere clenched her fist in frustration. She took the risk of taking the radius damage of Cracker Jinx (and with all her damn misfortune, of course she got it) but what she aimed at Jessamine wasn't enough to take the Ravenclaw down.

At that moment, a Flipendo struck the same target and Jessamine went unsconcious. Sere's eyes widened in awe as she looked at her teammate, "Great job, Sio-- oh, no." The girl gritted her teeth, realized that Siobhan fall into the same condition as Jessamine. Next round was the final round, but a strange fear began to creep inside her. What is this uncomfortable feeling?

Afternoon.

The final round was not as flashy as one would expect. Though with only three more players standing, two of which were Gryffindor and one was Ravenclaw, maybe asking for a show of fireworks was a bit much.

Gryffindor played it safe, with Vladislav healing himself (though the outcome was less than desirable, having backfired and injured himself instead) and Sere actively dodging. In a last ditch effort, Edward threw out a water charm which just nicked Vladislav by a centimetre, maybe even less.

The moderator raised their arm. "Stop!"

Once the dust settled, the moderator simply nodded and said, "And the win goes to Gryffindor, congratulations!"
