As the boat floated across the Lake Jade looked down at the water, it was so dark, so entrapping. Jade would have to read some books on it. Jade found if she concentrated really hard she could make out some shapes in the murky water
“I actually know a bit about it, the books we got say something. This hat is supposed to sort us into the House we'll be in for the rest of our years at Hogwarts, and we can't change House's either, if we don't like them. There's four of them, and they're like..." Grace kept talking explaining more about the houses, Jade was glad she didn't have to explain it, and though she already knew most of this she decided to just listen as it seemed to be calming Grace down to keep talking “I hope I get into Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, they seem ones I'd fit alright in. What about you?" asked Grace "I'm aiming for either Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff, my Mom was a Hufflepuff and my Dad was a Ravenclaw, though Gryffindor or Slytherin would be alright too" Jade said her eyes still set on the water.
At that moment the boat started to turn and Jade looked up. At that moment they came around a bend and could see Hogwarts Castle. "Woah" Said Jade, it was beautiful, made of old stone with towers here and there.

She gaped at Jade. How could you not mind getting into Slytherin? Did she not know about the history behind people who were sorted into there? Or maybe she didn't care, but Grace certainly did. Although she tried to respect everyone, no matter their background or history, that didn't mean she wanted to get into Slytherin, it just wasn't for her, and she felt like her grandmother would be disappointed if she heard that her granddaughter got into anything related to snakes.
She smiled weakly at Jade, but when she wasn't looking she made a face of bewilderment. No way was she getting into there.
Jade mentioned her parents being in Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. She overhead how most people got into a house related to their parents. Jade, in Grace's opinion, seemed like she'd get into Hufflepuff or Gryffindor, and she'd be mildly surprised if she got into any other House.
Just then she heard a "whoa" from Jade and she looked up to see the castle come into view, and it indeed did deserve a "whoa". It was so beautiful, Grace had never seen a castle so close before, and think that'd she'd be living in one for the next few years! She was immediately bubbled up with excitement.
“Did you know that the castle was built in the tenth century? That part in time was bad for wizards because the regular people—I mean, the muggles, they were scared and tried to hurt the wizards. So the wizards protected the castle with a lot of charms and spells so muggles couldn't come near even if they wanted to. It says that if a muggle even saw it, they'd just see ruins and signs of danger.”
She grinned; history hadn't been her favorite subject into she came into the wizarding world, and the magic history was definitely interesting. “And did you know,” she continued. “That even Albus Dumbledore didn't know all of the castle's secrets, so I doubt even our current Headmaster—Lear, was it?— I doubt he knows everything.”
Pointing towards a dark woods closely the castle, Grace asked, “Like, why did the build the castle right next to the Dark Forest, which they say contains too many dangerous things for students to even enter—but it's right next to the school, where anything can literally snatch us up? And, who built the Room of Requirement? Nobody knows!”
She paused and took a deep breath, then looked at Jade. “Er, sorry, it's just sometimes I get really excited...” She wrung out her hands, and cracked her knuckles.

Jade was bewildered bu the view, the castle was so big, so old, and yet so well kept. Jade couldn't help but be drawn to the towers. Jade had always like high places, her Dad used to call her his little kitten as their Devon Rex cats also loved high places. Jade had quite good upper body strength and could jump up grab the lowest branch of a tree and pull her self up as though it was as easy as walking up stairs.
"It's ok, I don't mind, I sometimes talk a lot too, though that only happens when I get careless. You see in Ireland I used to be quite the chatter box, I was always chatting about my strange ideas. Though I was bullied because of it, at least I'm good at self-defence because of it." Jade said trying to lighten the mood with the last words.
As Jade finished her last sentence she looked up to see they were nearing boathouse, it was a very beautiful building in Jades opinion, it was also where Severus Snape had died. A second later they came to a halt in the boat house. Jade climbed out of the boat and turned to help Grace out.

Cecilia was rushing off the train as he finally put on his black robe, the train was stopped for a while but Cecilia accidentally dropped his suitcase on the floor when he opened it to find the school robe and had to gather all of his belonging back to the suitcase, that took a while to do. Cecilia left the train and walked toward the student crowd.
Cecilia’s mind wandered to the last craziest month of his peaceful life as he walked to the crowd. He was just enjoying his perfectly normal raining summer day with Lucas – his dad, who was so hyped up about Cecilia going to middle school, his pops August was smiling and packing his suit and paper to ready for his trip to NYC the next day. And suddenly, an owl just flew straight through the opened window and onto the table with a paper scroll in its claw that literally said ‘Yay Cecilia, You’re a wizard! Now you gotta buy all these things and go to a Magical school name Hogwarts. From that day ,Cecilia kept wondering if he just imagined all of this stuff…
But now he was sure about everything, that the school was real and he was going to be sorted to a house out of four houses in Hogwarts, it was exciting yet still frightening, the first step of him to get to Hogwarts and he had already lost all his new friends…
Cecilia was so deep in thought that he accidentally bumped in to someone, he managed to bounce a little bit backward so that the other won't fall, but he definitely didn't manage to keep himself on two feets.
“Oops, Sorry, I got carried away” He said to the other sorrily

Lilac attempted to get out of her boat, realising she'd been separated from her friends. However, in the process of leaving her boat, she bumped into a boy. “Oops, Sorry, I got carried away." Said the boy. He was blind, Lilac realised. "Hey, it's ok! You're actually at the lake's edge." Said Lilac reaching out to grasp his arm to help, but pulled her arm away at the last minute. I shouldn't assume that he needs help, just because he is blind thought Lilac, and decided to ask him if he’d like assistance instead. "Just in front of your foot is a boat, you should be able to feel it with your cane, if you like I can assist you into the boat, we're suppose to cross the lake to get to Hogwarts. I think these boats use magic, for there are no ores for rowling." Lilac hoped she had came off as polite; she only wanted to help the boy. Lilac thought he might appreciate a description of what she could see of the castle. "You can see the castle from here; It's right across the lake, it looks amazing, it's hard to describe, It's stone towers stretches high into the night sky, the light from the castles many windows glows on the surface of the lake." Lilac hoped the description of the castle was as good as the real deal in front of her.

Cecilia smiled as he stood up and steady his himself as the girl informed him that he was by the lake's edge. Well, that was lucky, he wouldn't want to wet his shoes and robe just know that he was about to drown himself.
After hearing the girl's understanding voice, he had expected the other would help him up like most people he met, he wouldn't mind the assistance but doesn't like it either, since he could walk on his own, the help would only make he feels like he was weak and incapable of taking care of himself. But the girl didn't, instead she gave him a detailed instruction on how to get on the boat, and she kindly described the sight of the castle for him. And yes, she called the school 'castle'... Now he's going to a castle to study magic... And also go to school on a boat at night... That's weird... Cecilia pushed all the confusing thought away and returned to the girl.
Although Cecilia couldn't see the castle visually or even mentally, he appreciated the girl's description so much, it really helps him to understand what it would be like when he arrived. Cecilia he tried his best to imagine the rough surface of the castle's stone walls, the scent and warm feeling from burning old candles that were to guide people through the labyrinth of passages and corridors in the castle...
"Thank you" Cecilia said "You helped me a lot, I wouldn't even know that we're going to study in such a gorgeous castle if you didn't tell me! I'm Cecilia, Cecilia Deaux Le, what's your name?"

Lilac figured she must of said the right thing, as the boy was appreciative and spoke;
"Thank you. You helped me a lot, I wouldn't even know that we're going to study in such a gorgeous castle if you didn't tell me! I'm Cecilia, Cecilia Deaux Le, what's your name?"
"My name is Lilac Dune; I can't believe they didn't tell you much; then again I'm muggle-born, wonder what the sorting will be like, I don't know anything about the Hogwarts house’s. As for the castle, it's massive; I'm going to get lost. Wonder what our classes will be like." Lilac paused, and let out a deep breath. "It really is breath-taking, I can't wait to expore both the castle and the grounds."
"Whoa!" Said Lilac, the boat left the lake's edge, it was a rough entry into the lake; Lilac would, of course, prefered a smoother entry into the lake. "Are you ok? That was rough, I felt like I was going to fall in. Hey! This boat really does stir itself! What do you suppose lives in the lake, Fish?" Lilac fell silent, and enjoyed the journey across the lake; she could of sworn she saw creatures believed to myths, she guessed magical creatures existed.

Lilac is a nice name he thought as the girl introduced her name, and immidiately heard her exciting talk about castle again, the castle must be so beautiful, but he was a little bit afraid of getting lost in the castle, he got lost a lot despite being really carefull and always plan for his journey and destination first hand. But he would always day dreaming while he was walking. But at least, with this amount of people go to school, he would get lost and still find some people near him to turn him to the right direction, he hoped so. Cecilia was going to answer her, but was abruptly cut off by a rough shake when the boat started to move off the lake's edge. Ceclia said as Lilac asked him
"I'm okay, don't worry" Cecilia said, fight back the urge to puke while answered Lilac question "I dunno, maybe a giant squib, or mermaid..." He said without hesitation, if this is a Wizardry school, then having a squib or mermaid in the lake is probably normal. "Are they even real?" Cecilia asked, hoping that Lilac would have more infomation about this mysterious world he is entering. It seems to be pointless though. Lilac was from a non magic family just like him, what did she said? Muggle-born? Yeah, Muggle-born, he heard it from the train, it seems like Muggle was to call non magic people...

Entrance w/ Kyler Mendel
Bailey had never felt so overwhelmed in his life. From all of the new faces to the long train ride. It was dark out and though Bailey felt like he couldn't sleep, he could feel the effects. Becoming slightly emotional, scared and just kept looking to his trunk. He wanted desperately to grab out to stuffed bear or security blanket to breath in and calm himself down. To hide from the students he shared a compartment with. They were all rather kind but he was facing so many new experiences all at once.
His grandparents raised him to hide everything though. 'Suck it up', they would tell him. It wasn't long after that he learned to put on a mask though the inner bits of himself screamed for release. The farthest Bailey had even gone from his house was the gates of the family's estate. He had never even stepped a foot out or interacted with anyone of his own age or close to before. Growing up an only child with an overprotective family, Bailey had become very sheltered in his life. He learned to quickly entertain himself and become independent.
Though shy, he showed a confident composure. One quick glance to his hands that slightly shook showed his true self. Just a frightened student like the rest of them or at least half. He kept to himself most the time, though one of the students stuck out to him. Kyler Mendel. Bailey took quick to the boy and remained close to him. He heard the woman requesting for first years through the window of the train, looking back up at his trunk longingly before hesitating to leave it there.
Following right behind Kyler, he exited the train and joined the others as they moved down towards the black lake. The night sky had a chill that shivered up Bailey's spine. He looked back over his shoulder at all the other students who rode away in carriages with a creature he could barely see through the dark. One of Bailey's worst fears was the dark so he stayed close and hudled in with all the other first years. Overhearing of their oos and awes of the school and how beautiful it looked.
A few spoke of why they had to arrive so late and Bailey agreed full heartedly, though it mostly had to do with the long train ride, he supposed. He looked to Kyler as they mentioned 'two to a boat' and gripped the boys sleeve. His eyes pleading to be partnered to a boat as the students began to fill them quickly and talk about different things. Some spoke of being muggleborns, others talked about drums and singing. Some even fought about what house they may get into.
He could already feel the hair on his arms stand on end, the goosebumps riding up them and his whole body shaking. The cold... he would blame if asked. Though it was his sleepy eyes and the darkness the made his fear come through even more. The light shined in his eyes as he looked over the massive dark lake. Only a moment of fear showed before composing himself once more. "My family wants me to be in Slytherin. My mother was a Hufflepuff" he gently admitted as though already deciding which he truly desired to go into.
ooc: Kyler and Bailey will be sharing a boat together.

Let's be totally honest here, Ky felt like he'd woke up way to early for christmas morning. He'd spent all bleeping day on the train, and still the bustle of the people around him showed no signs of slowing down.
The shouts of "First years this way!" harolded the end of the trip, and drew the smallest from the throngs pouring off the bright red train. Kyler was so glad when Bailey stuck with him as they moved toward what ever fresh hell was the next step in this adventure.
And then he saw the boats. Little wooden vessles carved, but not ornate, set high on the inky black glass of the lake. The other side, craggy cliffs and a glittering castle, some how making the water darker in the glow of the half moon. His eyes widened, and a slow grin bloomed on his face. ::I'm going to ride in one of those.::
Only the pluck of his left sleeve drew him back to the group, and the task at hand. "Stick with me? We can do this." His words to Bailey coming out with a firm nod.
Kyler was a fish by nature. Water in all it's forms his favorite. Cold, hot, frozen... didn't matter he wanted to play with it. There wasn't a doubt in his head that if he and Bai ended up in the drink, he could keep them up long enough to get rescued. More than he could say about the girl over there making like Slytherin was the only house worth having.
Hearing Bailey's comment almost in answer to his thoughts Ky grinned. "Most of my family is Ravenclaw, but my momma is Puff too. Wouldn't it be awesome if we shared a house?"
