Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw: Match 2
When the fog cleared, Dee found herself standing on the Ravenclaw side of the stage alone. She blinked even as Julian frantically called for a pause, trying to make sense of the situation. They'd finally gotten Callie, apparently - perhaps Dealla should try asking for what she wanted more often if the result was this prompt. Peri wasn't knocked out, luckily, but bound and stiff as a board on the floor while the medics carried Callie away. He'd taken a few blows already, too, and while the Ravenclaws had managed to land a few hits as well, the Gryffindor side had taken the time to heal up. A glance at the clock told her there wasn't much left to the duel.
She'd seen duels like this, as a spectator, as a referee. Duels that were fought frantically, stubbornly until the last second, even when everyone around them could see that they'd already been decided. She just usually wasn't on the losing side of it.
Scrunching up her nose, she squatted down next to Peri, muttering a few words; he was still bound, but she wanted to give him the chance to indicate his opinion anyway. When Julian returned to his previous spot, she straightened up, and signalled to him with a flick of her hand. "We're forfeiting," she called. The Gryffindors were given a dry smile. "Congratulations. Butterbeers next weekend?"
Without waiting for further acknowledgment, she pointed her wand at Pericles. A muttered Reparifors later, her friend was free; Dee would offer him a hand up. She nodded again at Julian and the Gryffindor team. At least she was leaving the duel on her own feet.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw: Match 2
Galton had forfeited before. It was possibly one of the hardest calls to make, even when used in a situation that felt so helpless. Duelists tended to be prideful people (most students seemed to be) and surely some would view it as an action that would hurt their pride - but they were wrong. It showed an incredible degree of respect for all. For your team, yourself, and your opponents.
Galton couldn't lie though, being on the receiving end of a forfeit was nice. His face shot into a smile and he would yell over to the raven's "YOU KNOW IT! We'll 'old you to our deal! And then I'll get the second round." He'd throw a wink Dealla's way before turning to his team, a huge smile emerging. Maybe they'd have an early butterbeer?

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw: Match 2
The duel took its turning point: now that the lions weren't relying on smoke and fog, things really started to kick off, albeit not for the better of the eagles. Tired of the obstructions, Pericles managed to split another spell that targeted both storm and haze. The masses of gray dissipated in time to make clear targets of them all. One of his allies hit the stage, hard, and Pericles made the massive mistake of dropping his guard, turning his head for a cut-off call of "Cal-" before he followed right after. Paralysis caught him with his tongue between his teeth, giving it a stinging bite when his head hit the stage. Pericles was left lying there for a beat, staring sideways with wide eyes at an unconscious Callie and an isolated Dealla. A stream of swears ran unspoken through his head. Blessedly, she made the wise choice to call a forfeit before she could be bombarded by the enemy team, and Pericles made the only motion he could- breathing a sigh both of disappointment and relief. It was a shame they couldn't see it all through to the end, but then, there wasn't much of an "end" left given they would be in their last rounds by the time he found his feet again. Once the spell was lifted and the winners were called, he stood, giving a short congratulatory nod across the way while dusting off his robes. "Right. Dunno about you lot, but I could go for that drink."
