Alexx tapped her foot anxiously as she watched the plays go by, only half paying attention to it all. Her mind was beginning to drift elsewhere, perhaps to what she would do after the game. It certainly wasn't with her here, worrying about Quidditch. The only thing she could do right now to keep herself from being totally upset was to ignore her surroundings and only half think about anything. And so far, it was paying off.

Briefly mentioning some of the Ravenclaw and Slytherin first-string members.
Oh, Merlin. Oh, Merlin. Oh, Merlin. The mantra kept repeating in Aly's head as she watched Slytherin score again, as she watched Gabriella get smacked by a Bludger and be knocked clear off of her broom just like Jorah, as she watched Cecily miss a nearly open goal. The broom in her hand was itching to fly, to get out there, to help her team, but the curly-haired girl made herself continue to sit on the bench, green gaze taking in every bit of action across the pitch.
At least the Slytherin Seeker had missed the Snitch- at least her team's Seeker had spotted it, Aly realized as she watched River in the air. And at the very least, the team wasn't down every Beater. Her fellow second-string player, Aurora, had joined the match, albeit with a missed first hit. That's all right, she'll be fine, Aly promised herself, pumping a fist in the air as she cheered on her fellow second-string. "Woooooot! Go Aurora!" she cried out excitedly, trying to stop the surge of jealousy from overtaking her. Sure, Aly wished she could have been out there, too. But at the moment, all that she could do was project confidence and optimism from the sidelines.

@Valencia DeathstoutThere was no way River would let herself miss the snitch completely in this match. Last time she spotted it quite early on, it couldn’t be that hard… right? Right.
Perhaps she needed glasses or something? She had been experiencing some headaches while reading the past couple months. Oh well that was a problem for a later time. She squinted, trying her best to scan as much of the field as thoroughly as possible while she steadily coasted around the edge. She heard a faint sound, a familiar one. Her head sounded in the direction of the noise, and sure enough her eyes caught sight of the small golden snitch. As she spotted it, she also noticed that slytherin had seen it, and they were well on their way to grabbing it. Luckily they had seemed to miss this time. She began preparing for the next move, catching the eye of her teammate “I see it”, she announced loud enough for Valencia. Now she only hoped slytherin would not have a successful attempt of catching it before her team.FOR MODERATION

Laughter ensued, a surprising turn in Lestrange's social encounters. Pleasantries often beset by the boy's hostile undertones, or endless supply of petty remarks. With time, Thomas has come to crave the discomfort of others. To witness how sharp reactions form when you simply go off a customary script that's based in formality. It was a dangerous time to employ this mindset, simple comedy has taken a backseat to insecurity and fear. That wouldn't stop him.
Yet Flash's laughter offset Thomas' standard approach, leaving him with a lazy side eye towards his peer. A scary blend of self-pity and acceptance for the powerless state he was in. Relatable themes for Lestrange, for years unable to escape the mud from the blaming state. Pointing fingers and blame in every direction except for his own.
Though as time has passed, much like Flash, Thomas was beginning to accept the powerless state he was in. When viewing from an overhead glance, his status drifted from a melodrama to a comedy. An unhealthy trend for a boy with dwindling empathy.
"Loyalty's fickle around here, innit?" Thomas stated in a dead expression, eyes remaining forward on the quaffle's journey across the pitch. If anything, his time on the bench could be utilized to deploy ball-tracking exercises.
Where his eyes followed the ball, his mind was not tracking along with them. Still fixated on the boy at his side, a target of confrontation since Collins confirmed Flash as a boisterous social bee. Fueling Thomas' suspicion that he played a part in the many approach strangers over the course of this year. Flash was either closely involved with a mutual friend, or a silent stalker still undetected.
The truth Thomas would swiftly learn, whether Flash was a curious cat, or he operated for an undefined adversary. "Those that demand you to do so should be the furthest away from you." Anyone demanding a certain type of behavior was not a true ally, though perhaps the lesson Flash was due for was to overcome the expectations he has for himself.
"You can join me. I can't guarantee the most traditional experience -- I won't dance again, my moves kill." With a pause, Thomas' eyes drifted to the side in a brief inward scolding. Likely too soon to make a joke at the dead's expense, but Victor was the first and last boy Thomas would be caught twirling along a dancefloor.
"We can have fun in other ways. I'm needing to get even with someone." If Flash followed Thomas' eyes, he may notice(up to you) the boy's expression regress into a disdainful glare in the direction of their co-captain, Tyranni Whitehorn.

Yet another beater was done! Success! Despite a few close calls, none of Slytherin had yet to fall from their brooms. The only downfall was that Dan had not caught the snitch and it appeared that River may have laid eyes upon it as well. It was a valiant effort from him and Koko, but apparently that golden ball was not quite ready to be caught. The young captain flew close to a couple of her teammates to whisper a few words of their new game plan and readied herself yet again. Time to show Ravenclaw just how many times a snake could bit and just how painful their venom could be upon their morale.

A small victory was all they could ask for, Cecily knew, as she saw a bludger collide with a Slytherin player. Although her own bid for the Quaffle had gone rather poorly, the red leather simply slipping out of her fingers as a chill seemed to settle over the field, there was still plenty of match left for the Ravenclaws to make their superiority over the snakes known. Plenty of match left for River to catch the snitch, for the team to finally celebrate their victory over butterbeer rather than simply a good team effort. Much like the first round it seemed that all the Ravenclaw chasers abandoned their offensive for a riskier gambit as the players reshuffled about the field. Thora and Nico kept up business as usual and as was a common theme this match. Thora was on fire with the quaffle grabs. The two chasers competing against one another for the quaffle with Nico swiping a quaffle away on the second attempt only to pass it back to Thora.
The two sped about and made quite the spectacle of it. Clearly focused and set on their tasks. It was truly an expressive display of how far the two had grown as players with only more to come in the encroaching moments. Meanwhile, Bloom had left her goal completely this time heading for a different target entirely, with Lavinia back in the game. The young Ravenclaw was seemingly taking a back seat to the whole affair, seemingly at least. While Cecily for her part did sit back but for a different and important purpose.
Thora whirled around during the first attempt and redeemed themselves from the previous foray. Taking their shot a familiar Dong! rang out.
"10 Points for Slytherin!"
Getting passed the quaffle from Nico, Thora made it arround for the 2nd attempt scoring in a similar practiced fashion as before. The Dong! rang out again.
"10 Points for Slytherin!"
A repeat of the first two times, Thora had taken the quaffle and aimed it true with one final Dong! ringing out for an astonishing 3 for 3 scoring attempt!
"10 Points for Slytherin!"
What a round for Slytherin it must have been, but it also begged the question of how Ravenclaw would start really coming back from this or if they could?B E A T E R S || B L A T C H E R S

Lavinia ever the sneaky and crafty sort, flew around the field seemingly looking for the snitch. At the same time it could be mistaken for her keeping close to her teammates in case someone needed to be saved. It was a smart move given what happened in the previous round, of course that couldn't be all there was too it could it?
Meanwhile, Bloom perhaps seeking a bit of payback for her fallen teammates had only one target in mind. Flying at near full speed, she lined herself up with Erin who was more focused on her next target. With miraculous accuracy she slammed into the unsuspecting Erin, knocking the tyrant off her broom. "Oops, I didn't see you there Erin. Enjoy your flight down south!" Bloom didn't even try to hide her foul. Especially not after practically announcing herself. Even the referee found themself astonished by the brazen attempt.
"Bloom Silverton! Penalty Lap for blatching!"
They announced loudly and with a satisfied smirk Bloom, went to go take their well earned lap. "Worth it." Erin however, managed to get a bludger off aiming for River just before being knocked. However, River was astute in her observations and perhaps it helped having Valencia close by her. But she evaded successfully and was now free to go about her business. Through luck or a miracle she avoided the cannonball that would have knocked her.
Aurora aiming to capitalize on the increasing momentum aimed for Dan, but as always Cassandra got in its way with a confident smile managing to steer it away from Dan using a clever dodge to buy Dan time to evade, himself. Unfortunately, Tyranni wasn't having the best luck either. For whatever reason the normally calm and relatively collected player found themselves completely veering off course from their intended target River. In making such a fatal mistake, the Slytherin would find themselves in the tired sight of the referee who was very used to the generous application of various foul tactics.
"Tyranni Whitehorn! Penalty Lap for attempted blatching!"
Cursing herself for such a fatal error, the young Slytherin went off to take her lap with the hope that her team would still pull off an appropriate victory.S E E K E R S

Dan was simply on fire this match and he had snitch on the brain. Like a homing missile Dan dove for the snitch. At the same time River dodged all the actions aimed at her, and with the help of Valencia who had announced her attentions to the young seeker. Helped the girl get some extra speed to catch the snitch. But maybe she was too helpful, because River didn't catch the snitch going too fast to properly aim herself. Even surpassing Dan in speed for a moment but to no avail. Dan with his astute accuracy and control of his broom grabbed the glorious snitch and an announcement rang out for the entire stadium to hear.
"The snitch has been caught, Slytherin wins!!"
What a short match its been, but how fast paced it was. It seemingly ended in a camera flash. Ravenclaw gave it there all and put on an excellent performance however...the scoreboard does speak for itself as do the celebratory Slytherins in the crowd.S C O R E B O A R D

Erin was going to continue to destroy the other team, player by player until Dan finally found the snitch sometime next week. At least, that was her expectation. She hardly expected the hasty match and the announcement that the snitch was caught, the the match was over and Slytherin had won the game. Of course, it was too early to celebrate, with all of the grace of a squirrel knocked from a tree, Bloom came hurdling towards Erin. Not that bloom was a significant threat, or so she thought yet mass x acceleration and something to do with force...

She did not expect it. She wondered if Bloom thought she was capable and that Erin had underestimated the girl or if she was just as chocked. The only times she ever recalled the girl's face, she was in tears. She took the tears to mean weakness, fragility, vulnerability. Facets Erin had come to despise despite this festering sense of being overwhelmed by the insurmountable nature of the living darkness, the faces that seemed to meld into one that would remain forever out of her reach. She just stared forward, breaking was a useless waste of her time.
Perhaps he was wrong in this case as her hands lost their grip. The smooth wood of the broomshaft slipped between her fingers and the tumbled. The cool wind would rush past her, there was screaming but they were not her cries. It was the crowd, those that wanted to see her fall, those that wanted to see their beloved team score. Pain was just entertainment, as long as it was no them or theirs.
She would not be saved and the ground would come for her swiftly. The pain jarring and finite. The darkness immediate and absolute.
