Brumby's Desk
Brumby would be patient when the exciteable child explained the loss of the previous presidents and the symptoms he was facing. He was tempted to tear apart the argument bit by bit and explain the scientific approach to unexplainable situations, but he didn't think that was going to be worth his time. This kid was also hysterical, he wondered if it wasn't a good time to break out the Draught of Peace to calm him down.
"Okay, wild child." After the sound of shrill child peeping quieted, Brumby would smile empty-headed-ly and with wide eyes, not having ever been trained on how to handle kids with grace. "If y'want t'be cured, all y'gotta do is find some better friends. It sounds like yer bein' trolled."
Brumby would stand, making a shoo-ing motion in front of him. "Start lookin' at it with that in mind, an' I think you'll see the light. Take it or leave it."
Having done the bare minimum, Kelsey would insist the panicked child be gone. If he raised any objections, Kels would shush him loudly and point to the doors. It wasn't like he didn't humor kids from time to time, or that he might have even been tempted to keep up the charade, but he had lots of work left to be done.

OOC: sorry I had to cut this short Avery, I needed to open up the desk for the new nurse.

Brumby's Desk

Despite his rapid breathing, he paused to wait for a response. Surely, he had explained everything to the best of his ability, and those symptoms were exactly as Hanako had described them when telling him about The Curse. So, he followed each of Brumby's next words intently, hoping to find the solution to his curse.
Yes... he did want to be cured. Okay, yes... he'll find better friends... Wait, what? He was being trolled?
He blinked back at Nurse Brumby with a bit of confusion. Was he saying that Hanako was lying? "But..." he began, without even knowing what to say next. He had never considered this possibility. Why would his dormmate even do such a thing? It truly bungled his mind as to what Hanako or the universe would have to gain from lying about The Curse of the ASC.
However, Nurse Brumby waved him away, and it was clear that the man felt that that there was no such thing as this curse. The nurse's obvious resolve on the matter allowed Avery to slowly consider the possibility of a fantasized curse seriously. Stunned, the boy got up slowly from his chair. "Well, uh, thanks for listening to me, Nurse Brumby. I guess- I'll just get going now."
With a few extra blinks of confusion and bewilderment, the small boy went on his way.
Maybe, he thought to himself, maybe Hanako Tone was horribly misled. Perhaps the third-year who was so interested in the latest tea heard some erroneous gossip, leading him to wrongly believe in this curse. Yes, that was the most reasonable explanation.
Avery exits the thread.
