It depends! Homework has to be manually graded, so someone has to self check each question thoroughly to make sure it's accurate. If the professor has time to spare they'll get to it right away. Lots of homework is being submitted all the time though, so there's really no way of knowing how fast they'll get back to you.

Usually your homework will be graded within a week, it can however take a few days longer if the professor is otherwise busy or there are a lot of assignments to grade.

I was just wondering what good do any of the things we bought before our first year do to us. If I am trying to save up for something should I just sell it all but the rememberall so I can buy the item?

With the detention system, are house points ever deducted? Or is that something that isn't practiced since its been said the systems mainly for story building?

The detention is mainly for RP purpose so if they want their character to break IC rules, for example, two students fight and use spells without the Professor's permission, or steal a potion from the potion classroom. If a Prefect sees it there will be a high chance that they will get caught and recieve a detention. And once your character is in a detention you're not allowed to do new threads (the threads before detention are allowed to continue) until you complete the detention with 1000 words. But OOC there will be no house points being deducted because of that.

More specifically, we don't arbitrarily add or remove house points because it effects the spirit of competition between players. A single "problem" player could drain a house of points by playing their character. This is a negative experience for everyone -- the fellow players that want to earn that House Cup as well as a player that may be ostracized, harassed or simply disliked OC for their IC player choices and ultimately encouraged to play something different or to change their character. 

Our goal is to encourage players to participate in the community and to try to 'win' the setting while allowing players some semblance of autonomy. Homework completion, voting for us on Top RP Websites, participating in some errands and events, the Quidditch System, etc. as means to gain points.

Quick question. Is there a good/realistic time for our characters to go holiday shopping in Diagon Alley? Or should I just pretend I already have stuff?
