do we know what the rules are for modern technology at hogwarts? just for an example, my character was gifted a walkman for one of his birthdays. Would he be able to take it to Hogwarts with him? Or maybe if he gets a record player for holiday would he be allowed to bring it to Hogwarts when he returns?

Any muggle technology won't work at Hogwarts as electricity/batteries don't mix with magic, so your character wouldn't be able to use those things and they would break!

@Julia Evans, this is more a question for iNPC team than it is for validations team.

Since the difference in the dates is more than just a couple of days, 6 months for you will count from the validation date rather than registration one. You were validated on October 6th, 2025. So please count 6 months from this date and not from July.

The ones with a star, you have to own it to be able to rp with it. The ones without, you are able to mention without actually owning it.

I hope this is right, but if not, can someone correct me!

The opposite actually, those without a star require purchase to be rp'd with, hence you'll notice items such as alcohol do not have a star, those with a star do not require purchase and can be rp'd without buying them, such as food.
