Is it when you try to respond to a thread already started or when you're trying to start a new thread on that forum? Or both?

It's being looked into as Lear said, mass-queried in discord as well, so far you're the only one who's reported any issues.

I finished writing a post on that forum and didn't have the snowflake issue there.
But at least the possible issue is being looked at by the staff!
Hopefully you get it resolved!

I am still looking, as it is rather odd. I have (and turned on last eve) a very old device (it is an old laptop that is about 10+ years old) and while it struggles to even move through the internet it seems to also be none the worse on the snowy bits. The most I found was someone who reported last year they had some slowness, but they reported none this year in the snowy areas.
Browser use might be a consideration also -- try using a different browser.

I just checked the snow website and looked at my task manager. just showing the tab with the falling snow increases the GPU (graphics card) load from 0 to 20% and I have a rather powerful GPU, which I also use for some gaming.
Maybe that could be an issue. Especially because if you have a separate GPU, it will have ventilation, which might kick in when used increasingly. You could maybe check than?
(using a windows PC. With a laptop I also often had issues with video calls, which also seem to increase the load of the GPU and caused the ventilation to increase.)

just an update, i have installed updates for my windows earlier, (which did nothing) then intel graphics driver just. its seems to be doing a little better now not sure if im speaking too soon but we'll see ventilation still increases on snow, but not overly so, words doesn't seem to be laggy. CPU is about 40% for me on snow page. edit: just keeps increasing a little 50-60 the longer im on the page writing lol but so far fan is not churning as hard so its okay

Don't have the time to run proper tests rn but just wanted to say that a very quick check confirmed this for me too - CPU is also affected actually. I'm running some other stuff in the background but having a snowflake tab active increases my CPU utilisation from ~80 to 100% and my smaller GPU utilisation (512 MB memory) from around 25 to around 45%. I thought I saw some small spike for my bigger GPU (4GB memory) which usually just chills at 0% when I'm not gaming but that may be coincidence and I'd have to look into it more closely. I'm not experiencing any performance issues because of it, and it goes away if the snowflake tab isn't the active one, but it's worth noting.Edward Foxe wrote: 7 Dec 2022, 11:26 I just checked the snow website and looked at my task manager. just showing the tab with the falling snow increases the GPU (graphics card) load from 0 to 20% and I have a rather powerful GPU, which I also use for some gaming.

It'd be really nice to have a way to sort owls by whether or not you've replied to them! I'm terrible for forgetting things so being able to see which owls I still need to follow up on would be really useful
I really like the folders feature so I might start using that, but unfortunately I left it a little to late to properly organise everything

Omg yes. I have so many owls... I want to sort them and put them all in folders but I don't have the patience to go through every one of them now. Plus, is there even a way to edit the names of folders???
