FAQ — Questions
@Julia Evans As Mylo said, you can either complete the homework from previous years without receiving house points to claim the spells in your trunk, or buy them in the shop. However, note that many spells have prerequisites and you can't use them unless you meet them. For example, you cannot use Incendio Duo without having Incendio in your trunk. (@Derek Alexander Jay, mentioning you here as you received Incendio Duo for one of your homeworks but do not have Incendio in your trunk! Therefore, to use Incendio Duo, you'll first need to complete the homework for Incendio or buy the spell.)

FAQ — Questions
This is very specific but- if I wanted to steal something from Hogwarts, for example lets say a plate from the Great hall, is there like a system or can I just do that? Follow up question, can I then claim to have said object and use it in another rp?? One that chronologically happens after the theft.
FAQ — Questions
You can do that, I've stolen dragon dung from the Greenhouses before and slung it all over the halls (poor Nancy but ) but like no not really a system, if you wanna say you obtained it from somewhere, doing a thread beforehand worksSabrina Lyons wrote: 19 Nov 2025, 21:08 This is very specific but- if I wanted to steal something from Hogwarts, for example lets say a plate from the Great hall, is there like a system or can I just do that? You've gotta break some eggs to make an omlette, something something.
FAQ — Questions
@Sabrina Lyons If you wanted to have a stolen item, you would need to rp stealing it prior, because that violates an IC rule and is subject to a possible detention/catch by staff (IC), like Elmo said. Also, it would make no sense to have an item that she stole without any papertrail or actual thread in which she stole it, right? In Clark/Elmo's case, that would've been the thread in which he threw dragon dung everywhere and showed that he violated the rule(s). If you get away with it, you can rp having that item any time later on, and depending on the circumstance, possibly also keep the item if you get caught! I hope this helps
(Elmo explained it in short already though, just elaborating;)

FAQ — Questions
Thank you, to both of you! How long do you recommend I wait OOC to see if my character got away with it? So I dont start the thread where she's using it just to find out she failed to obtain it in the first place.
FAQ — Questions
I'd say give it about a week or so, as staff moderation occurs every two weeks minimum (many don't wait that long though). If it's just a plate though I don't think that would be as much of a problem. You can also contact the staff member in charge of moderating that specific forum and ask them about it, though!Sabrina Lyons wrote: 20 Nov 2025, 06:35 Thank you, to both of you! FAQ — Questions
If I backtrack to a time when my character didn't know a spell that they now know, can they still use it? For example, could they use a second year spell when backtracking to first year.
FAQ — Questions
Hello! I have a question regarding my character, so- he and his family have always been loners and prefer to stay inside most of the time, they're the type of people to not enjoy going out much (and when they do, it's at night because it's usually calmer and quieter), it's always been like this for them and so (I did some research before making my character) their skins are sensitive to the sun, not vampire level- but since they don't spend time under the sun like most people do, their skins are sensitive and tend to get irritated if they go out without sunscreen or an umbrella or something to cover themselves with, I based it off of myself (I have the same problem and when I made my character I decided that it would be cool if he had the same thing since I know what it's like and can properly narrate it without issue), but I was told that it can maybe cause some confusion and get my account deactivated because others might think that I'm trying to be a dhampir without the status- which isn't true, and I always avoid doing anything that dhampirs might do or display any characteristics (like the red eyes, I think that's something they have? Correct me if I'm wrong) they have- I enjoy this site and I would hate for my Account to be deactivated because of it, especially since he's goth and pale and I feel like that may cause confusion? I always make it clear when I'm narrating that the reason behind his sensitive skin and hatred for the sun is because he never goes out and his skin isn't used to it and I have never tried to claim that he's a dhampir- so yeah, can it happen? Is there anything I can do to prevent it? He's goth, so he's heavily based on that and I kind forgot dhampirs were a thing- I never realized how much similarities they had until someone pointed it out!
Sorry if this is long btw

FAQ — Questions
Hi Azrael! So, it's perfectly fine to have character disabilities and such, as long as you can roleplay them correctly and have enough knowledge regarding them, and it seems like you do. I would suggest making it clear in your rps what the reason behind the sensitivity toward sunlight is, a disclaimer at the bottom or top of the rp would work well for that (in the rp, you can also give detail about this, but a disclaimer is a good addition to make things clear and transparent). Just try to refrain from copying or making your character seem too much like a dhampir. A good way to do this is describing traits that a dhampir explicitly does not have, if that makes sense. Furthermore, I suggest reading through the dhampir lore: here is the post that explains the abilities and such in detail, here is the one with the full lore on dhampirs and here is the vampire lore. I hope this helps!Azrael Holloway wrote: 22 Nov 2025, 23:16 Hello!
