Eleanor grew up at Rowan Manor, a big estate in Cornwall where she lived with her parents, Cassius and Theodora Rowan, and her grandparents, Miles and Josephine Rowan. The Manor is surrounded by gardens, a pond, and plenty of trees, which Eleanor loved exploring as a kid. She spent most of her time reading Muggle fiction or writing in her notebook under her favorite tree near the pond.

Her grandmother Josephine has always been one of the most important people in her life. Eleanor was named after her, and they share a really close bond. Josephine often told Eleanor stories about her time at Hogwarts, especially what it was like being a Hufflepuff, which made Eleanor even more excited to go to school herself.

Eleanor’s family is big, with aunts, uncles, and cousins all over the place. They’ve got connections to all four Hogwarts houses, so when they all get together, it’s always interesting. Even though some of them live far away, they visit often enough that the family stays close.

Eleanor’s favorite people in the family are her cousins Calista, Amara, and Elara. Calista is a third-year at Hogwarts and loves adventure and pushing boundaries, while Amara, a second-year, is more thoughtful and academic. Elara isn’t at Hogwarts yet, but they’re really close and love talking about books and magic. Eleanor can’t wait to start at Hogwarts and spend more time with Calista and Amara. It’s a bit overwhelming being the youngest sometimes, but she loves how supportive her cousins are.

First Instance of Magic:
At age 7 Eleanor's grandfather, Miles, witnessed her first use of accidental magic. Miles was watching Eleanor in the greenhouse, while he tended to the plants and could only laugh when Eleanor made a recently planted tomato seed sprout suddenly.

Brian Gaffey was born as the fifth child to Connor Gaffey and Mary Gaffey née O'Keefe in the largely working-class area of Scotland Road, Vauxhall, Liverpool. His father used to be a dockworker by trade, until he was laid off from his job following the 2008 recession. This was a large hit to Connor's self-esteem, as the Gaffeys have worked at the port of Liverpool ever since they immigrated to Liverpool from county Kildare, Ireland, in the late 1840s. His mother works as a cashier at a local supermarket, having worked in retail ever since she was sixteen years old. He was largely brought up by his older siblings, particularly his oldest brother and sister, a pair of twins called Jacqueline (also lovingly called Jacky) and Sean. Jacqueline cared for him when his mother was off at work, whereas Sean introduced him to football, a sport Brian would obsess over in his younger years, playing in the streets several times a week. Brian was allowed to join his local football club at age four, and never missed a training after, growing up to be a keen and hard-working athlete.

He started attending Trinity, a local Catholic primary school, less than a year later. During his time at primary school, a young Brian first experienced social inequality when he was bullied for getting his older brother's old school stuff, as his family couldn't afford to buy new supplies. When his classmates found out that his father's employment wasn't very steady, he was mocked rigorously. He got into fights early-on, but was dissuaded from fighting his classmates by a handful of influential teachers that motivated him to work hard and concentrate on his school work. Still, Brian knew how to stand up for himself, and wouldn't shy away from a confrontation.

His childhood was marked by his father's inability to cope, and Brian quickly determined that he wanted a better life than his dad's. Motivating himself to work hard, he toiled tirelessly at school as well as on the pitch, showing himself to be both a gifted pupil and footballer.

The Gaffeys had a hard time understanding Brian's magical ability, but came to see that an education at Hogwarts would be the only way to ensure that Brian's gift wouldn't be found out. They have very mixed feelings about the magical world at large - and who could blame them? They were forced to send their youngest son off to a boarding school on the other side of Britain. Brian, too, had a difficult relationship with Hogwarts. He felt slighted at the fact that he had to abandon his family without a choice, only seeing them during his time off in the winter and summer. Whereas many other students may feel anxious and happy to attend Hogwarts, Brian feels conflicted, fearing that he'll have quite the culture shock at his new school.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Brian's first instance of magic occurred whilst he was about seven years old. Whilst having an argument with his father, he got so annoyed that he accidentally tied up his dad's tongue, using wandless magic to do so. His family, bewildered at what had happened, could scarcely put two and two together. When the Ministry of Magic confirmed Brian's magical ability, the non-magical Gaffeys, overwhelmed with shock at the discovery of an entirely different world altogether, hesitantly approved of sending their son off to Hogwarts, knowing that he could endanger himself, them and others if he didn't learn to control his magic.

Kojo is a first generation immigrant from the Ivory Coast, Ghana. He is the latest, the youngest, in a Pureblood lineage that can be traced for many centuries and countless generations - he is, however, the first to attend a wizarding school outside of Africa.

His mother passed away when he was quite young, too young to remember her - she was what English Wizards would consider an Auror, and fell in the line of duty - a Dark Wizard unfortunately took her life in battle when he was but three years old. His father, on the other hand, was an activist and journalist, which was often at odds with the work that Kojo's mother did - his father liked to report on particularly controversial topics that concerned the Ministry and their activities in relation to the normal and underground wizarding worlds. He ensured that the wizarding world knew of the activities government and Dark Wizards to the best of his abilities. After the death of his mother, however, Kojo's father had trouble for some months remaining in the house they had lived and loved in for so long... And so he left for London, where some of his more adventurous friends had left to, and brought along his one and only son.

Since his son grew up away from his familial culture, Kojo's father was adamant on teaching his son as much as possible about their home. They still had family that lived on the Ivory Coast, and so they visited once a year - sometimes more, during age-specific milestones or new accomplishments that Kojo or any of his cousins had made. While this was great for ensuring that the boy had active ties to his motherland, it occasionally put him at odds with others his age because of sheer cultural difference. He grew up embroiled in both worlds - his accent was both African and English, his garb was markedly traditional and at odds with modern clothing, his morals, ethics, ideals, and actions aligned closer with those from Africa than England, yet he was knowledgeable and kept up with English pop culture. He didn't quite live a double-life, but he was constantly torn between the two.

When he received the letter-by-owl (which his father was still getting used to, since he had been recruited to Uagadou via Dream Messenger) to attend Hogwarts, Kojo was not as excited as most fledgling wizards would be to attend Hogwarts. He knew that the likelihood of attending Uagadou was low to nonexistent, since his father seemed to never want to go back... But a part of him did want to go back to what he considered 'home', even if he had fewer memories there than in England.

Raised to push through trepidation and do what must be done, however, he nonetheless embraced the opportunity. He hoped that he would be able to learn as much at Hogwarts as he would at Uagadou, and so he threw himself into school prep with the hard-working fervor that he inherited from his parents.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Kojo's first instance of magic was one borne of pure, uncontained, uninterruptible mirth. He and his father had a little game they had created when Kojo was a baby and needed distracting - at completely random moments, they would try and startle one another with the weirdest thing they could think of. Kojo particularly enjoyed leaping out at his father with something gross in his hands that he had found, while his father stuck with old faithful funky faces. Once, when the boy was the at young and impressionable age of only six, they tried to startle each other at exactly the same time, Kojo with a mud pie topped with strawberries and a caterpillar, and his father with a really goofy face. The boy had been so startled at the same time so humored by his own prank that the confusing mess of emotions caused him to accidentally turn his father's and the caterpillar's hair the same color as the strawberry, and then into a random assault of changing colors when he lost his mind laughing.

Born in the early evening in Manila to a Canadian Half-Blood Father and Filipino Pure-Blood Mother, Arturo Christian Reyes was the couple's third child out of six. With an older sister and brother before him, Arturo's life in the Philippines was short-lived as their family immigrated to New Zealand when Art was three years old and his eldest brother had his first instance of magic and was invited to attend Tenūsa, Island of Divination to begin his official wizarding training. Arturo's childhood home in Hamilton had always been so full with a huge connection of family on both sides who held the word family in such high regard and often hosted family meals at their home thanks to the ease of a portkey.

His family continued to grow, older siblings left to Tenūsa and Arturo watched as his father worked for the Ministry of Magic as an auror for the New Zealand branch and his mother owned a garment store in their wizarding community. Arturo turned 8 years old and he was in his mother's shop drawing aimlessly to pass the time with some of his younger siblings who were squabbling over something unimportant. After the two of them had been getting on his nerves, he yelled for them to "shut up" and through the emotional outbreak, Arturo bewitched one of his mother's garments to change from a pastel pink into a deep olive color accidentally. Without any idea of how he did it, his mother came at the commotion and began to tear up in absolute happiness and joy that another one of her children had showed magical capability and was headed to school with both of his older brother and sister.

The traditional journey to Tenūsa was taken by his mother during her own learnings at Tenūsa and by both of her parents the first time they had to take their eldest to the Isle of Divination. His sister was accompanied by just their mother since there were more kids at home to take care of and this trip for Arturo was his father's first time doing it alone. It was a much longer trip than the average three weeks, taking a month through some accidental missteps and immense bonding for a boy with their father who spent so much time trying to ensure that he was taking care of his family. It helped that there were many other young children within Arturo's clan of learning (a practice his mother felt was entirely important culturally) and where he met jason randle, one of his best friends of all time.

Arturo was quick to adapt to the new culture of this island, village, and pewari experience. He found a deep love for the wilds, the verdant greens of the island enthralled the young boy who learned so much through Tenūsa's unique traditions and methods. Excelling at Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures tasks, Arturo was quick to pick up on the health of the island and figuring out through the help of his own Dukun, Kiara Tūwhare, an incredible magical conservationist herself as an indigenous Maori woman from New Zealand who focused on marshlands and the Pacific Ocean as her means of giving back. She instilled this sense of urgency to care for the communities (both societal, natural, incorporeal, and spiritually) that all existed on various planes converging into each other caring and supporting each other through their own strands of connectivity. Yes, Arturo thought she was insane at first too.

Despite not truly hearing her for what she was preaching but by the time he was close to graduating, the magic he experienced in looking at her lens and genuine compassion shaped him so intensely. So much so that he spent the next fifteen years as a part of her entourage, creating his own branch to research the wilds that he loved and cared for so much. Arturo spent so much time on his work and the community that he already had built that there wasn't time for romance in his life except for fleeting moments, letters, looks and occasionally more. Through his work Arturo did receive accolades for his discoveries on efficient ways to care for forested wetlands and received media requests. It also just so happened that Arturo had an intense fixation on caring for himself, too, and found himself on tabloids and lists of eligible bachelors in the Wizarding World with people fascinated by him wanting to learn more about this elusive wizard who was obsessed with the wilds.

It wasn't until Kiara was close to retiring that she reminded him that he was missing an important component of their work — giving back to the next generation. She would offer him a buy-in to their research organization but he had to work for them part-time and take on a pewari to help as he was helped by Kiara. Initially, he didn't feel ready to give up his work fully but as his mentor and biggest inspiration, he connected with Tenūsa after living in Auckland for the last 15 years with a home and everything to return back to the Isle that shaped him wholly. Now, three years later, and he'd happily admit that Kiara had been right his entire life and he loved being back with the people of Omah Geni and giving back showing others the joys of their traditions and the importance of magical conservationism .

Adeline was raised in the small coastal town of Tenby, Wales, where, to protect themselves, her family was forced to live simple, modest lives. While they were not the only wizarding family in Tenby, many days it seemed as if that were the case.
Addie's father, Mavin, inherited his fathers (non magical) jewelry store in the town, and for many reasons, sentimentality leading the list, he cannot bear to leave it all behind. The mostly-muggle town need not know how Mavin repairs their treasures so quickly, or why his stones seem to shine brightest. The man also peddles magical trinkets and gems in diagon alley on his off days, where he dreams of one day opening a shop of his own.
Addie's mother Efa is a kind but timid woman. She loves her family, and being raised by muggles, she has a connection to non-magical life. Because of this, Adeline has an adequate grasp on life outside of the wizarding world, and has no trouble blending in amongst muggles, which make up the vast majority of her peers in Tenby.
As a child, Addie spent most of her days pre-hogwarts with her parents and her grand-parents. She never had many friends, but did have a few buddies along the way, namely a muggle boy named Alex, her neighbor, who's family moved away by the time Adeline was nine. Her favorite pass times were reading, collecting sea glass and shells from the bay, and "talking" with their pet kneazle, Renfro. Addie never experienced typical hardship; everything was always good with the Spinks family. If anything, she was often bored, wishing to be somewhere where they could be free.
Tenby is most definitely not a wizarding town. There are exactly three other magical families and five total children between them, and unfortunately they don't see eachother as often as Addie would like. Adeline has always found it comforting that she was not the only witch in Tenby, even though it often felt like it. Thankfully, the families met up once or twice a month for dinner and a catch-up. This would be some of the only moments Addie was able to socialize outside of her family, and her fathers customers.
Because of the families social situation, they were quite close, often taking walks along the shore together, or creating art as a family. When Addie's muggle grandparents would visit, they would school her in basic principles that muggles her age were learning, and she always found it very interesting. The simple ways of muggles intrigued her, and influenced her sympathy for, and allegiance to those of unpure blood status, particularly muggle born wizards like her mother. Although she had these thoughts and feelings, Addie was essentially forbidden from socializing with muggle children in Tenby in fear of jeopardizing the families safety. She would be friendly, she even knew some of their names, but aside from Alex, she never knew anything more.
Much of Adeline’s personality can be traced back to her early years spent watching her father tinker with gems and jewelry. A quirky man with an inventive personality, his unusual ways can be seen clearly reflected in his daughter. Despite her shyness, Addie can be quite a troublemaker, often letting curiosity lead her into sticky situations. A collector by nature, the young girl never has empty pockets. Stones, feathers, loose buttons, nothing is spared when it comes to Addie's collection, one of the only things she plans to sneak to Hogwarts.

- Please expand your character's backstory/biography to include more details about your character's life before attending Hogwarts. This should be separate from personality although it can certainly influence personality! Some ideas for expanding her biography might be to expand on how her relationship is/was with her parents, how was her daily life and early schooling (before Hogwarts), and any defining events in her childhood.
- Once the biography is expanded, make sure the text is the same here as it is on your encyclopedia.

Erendriel Ravaxidor is the daughter of Rhothomir Ravaxidor and Haciathra Iliqirelle Ravaxidor.

She was born on 26 October 26th at Ravaxidor Manor in Geiranger Fjord, Norway. She born in a pureblood family with centuries old magic. Erendriel grew up as an independent and well-behaved child. She loves to play with her dolls and surrounded herself with books. She was always in her family's library reading novels. She had her sweet spot near the grand window with the overlooking flower ground of the manor.

Her parents are why she grew up as an intelligent and responsible kid. They taught her well about the world and everything she needed to know. She's not a spoiled child because she knows her limits and knows that if she wants or needs something, her parents will gladly give it to her. Her parents may not always be around because of work or bad health, but she knows that her parents loved her dearly.

Rhothomir Ravaxidor is the eldest of three siblings. The Ravaxidor's originated at the Geiranger Fjord, Norway. However as the siblings had their own family, Rhothomir decided that him and his family would reside at Ivorymyst Manor in Ardrishaig, Scotland. The Manor located in a beautiful coastal village with less population and it is between a magical forest and sea. With this the family is being provided with natural protection and it is abundant with resources from different foods like seafood, vegetables, fruits, and magical plants that only grow in Ardrishaig. It is a considerable amount of land with magical and non-magic plants, many of which possess potent magical properties.

The Ravaxidors have a strong connection and respect in magic, that results from their preference to be alone and safe at their home.

Erendriel's mother, Haciathra is hails from a lesser but known old pureblood family called the Iliqirelles and they are from Limerick, Ireland. Although they are not wealthy, the Iliqirelles have survived through their artistic skills and talents, they are known as musical prodigies and artisans. They have their own shop located between muggle and wizarding neighborhood, It is a wood craft shop that customs magical and non-magical furnitures and wooden items. That wood work business has been the primary source of their family's income, and maintained their familys needs. However while other pureblood families look down on them for lacking wealth and being close within the muggles, They have maintain their pride and dignity that allows them to continue living as they have managed to sustain themselves despite the gossips surrounding their family.

Haciathra is the only daughter out of the five children of the Iliqirelles. She was by no means extraordinary, however, she looked increasingly like her mother Sarah with each passing day. Her pale complexion and slenderness matched that of her mother’s exactly, possibly what caused the favoritism of her father, Robert, towards her.

Home life for Lisa was also appropriately average. The house was never quiet with two rambunctious boys and whatever assumption of annoyance could be come up with regarding Lisa’s feelings towards them would be correct. Coming from a pureblood family, magic has always been around and shown to the three children. Nothing too out of the ordinary can surprise Lisa anymore. Her sassiness could be classified as one of her prominent traits, commonly used to snap back at her parents for taking Samuel and Jonathon’s side on a topic, or with her peers when Lisa is unable to get her way.

Life was always busy in Camden Town. This is what made it so easy for the magical family to fit in. The McMillian Home was one of the more historic-looking locations in Camden Town, shown by its brick architecture and luscious greenery surrounding it. Other magical families lived nearby however not many came to visit the McMillians due to their busy daily schedules. Inside the house was nothing short of ancient antiques and vintage artifacts. Lisa's mother loved to collect items and had difficulty parting away with others even if it was outdated. It was never necessarily Lisa's style but it was more difficult to argue that fact than to just accept to lavish furniture. Sometimes Lisa wondered if her mother cared more about the dinnerware than she did Lisa. This was tested when Lisa was seven and her brothers Samuel and Jonathon were being particularly annoying. They had spent the whole morning pestering her about who knows what. Lisa's annoyance quickly turned to anger when she realized that she was not able to just scare them away. Without thinking, the anger continued to bubble inside her and without her knowledge, two old china plates began to raise into the air behind her. Lisa's mother, Sarah, distraught by the thought of her expensive china plates breaking immediately grabbed them before even checking on the children and breaking up the fight.

Character Backstory: Nova was born in Shannon, Ireland, to her mother Daphne and her father Daniel. Both were from England but had moved to Ireland for better jobs. She had 2 younger siblings. The older one, Oliver, was 7, and the youngest was 4 and named Izzie. When Nova was born, her mother revealed that she was a witch to her father. He took it very well and accepted that she was a witch and that his children could be of magical blood too. She has a pet cat at home called Oreo because of his black and white fur. It was a present for her 6th birthday from her aunt, who owned a pet shop for unwanted pets. Oreo was old but has lived for a surprisingly long time, so she wouldn't be surprised if Oreo turned out to be half Kneazle. Her mother was a healer at St. Mungo's, so her father usually took care of them, at least more often. She had gone to a muggle school where she had always had slightly above average grades. She loves history and baking. Her favorite recipe are the cookies she baked with her mother. As a child, she had always been liked by everyone. Who wouldn't like a happy-go-lucky child bounding around like she had no worry in the world? Her name was no surprise, considering her mother was one of the biggest astrology enthusiasts she knew. If her name was literally translated, it would mean New Star. Her mother had told her it was because she would bring light into the darkest of places.
First Instance of Magic: When Nova was 8 years old, she was being chased in a game of tag with a few childhood friends and as she was about to get caught, she felt herself being pushed forward by the wind, distancing her from her friends.

Character Backstory:
On Friday the fourteenth of December, in the year two thousand and twelve, Addison Eleanor de Montmorency was born to Aldrich de Montmorency and Edith Owers in Colchester, England. Since her youth, she's lived in the same sizeable countryside home with her parents, grandparents (of her mother's side), and great-great-grandmother (of her father's side). Albert and Anne Owers, Addison's grandparents, were immensely prevalent in her childhood, from witnessing her first steps to seeing her off on her first day of school at England's Preparatory School for Young Wizards and Witches. Her great-great-grandmother, Eleanor de Montmorency—the person from whom Addison's middle name derived—was more of a homebody. This trait seemingly developed with old age, as in her youth she was described as incredibly adventurous. She was the person in their close family that Addison aspired to be like the most, as she had a tendency to stray away from the pressuring expectations of their other family. The sudden passing of her great-great-grandmother in the year two thousand and twenty—at one hundred and four years old—left Addison completely dejected. The person she had felt closest to, the one she could talk comfortably to the most, disappeared—and so did her will to speak. This tragic event marked the day that Addison began keeping diaries; she wrote to atone for conversations she was unwilling to have and information she neglected to share. Filled with overwhelming emotion, it was also the year she experienced her first instance of accidental, wandless magic.

Addison's parents shared a heavy passion for travel; this often meant she and her parents were absent from their comfortable English home. Frequently, her family travelled to York to visit close relatives: Addison's aunt, uncle, and cousins. Growing up in an environment regularly surrounded by relatives of a similar age, it was difficult for Addison to consider herself an only child. Lonely nights, peering out her bedroom's window at the glittering stars above, reminded her of such—at home she was surrounded by adults of whom she would never truly be able to relate to. Edward and George Owers, the twins of Addison's aunt and uncle (her cousins), were like brothers to her. She eagerly awaited visiting them, not only for their city's beauty, which she found rather fascinating, but also for the mischief that ensued while she was there. Visiting her cousins was a freeing experience—one that she wished to hold on to forever—and it was ever so disappointing on the journey home, twiddling her fingers in boredom, resorting to watching raindrops—in the hopes that there were any—race down the car window. On a lesser occasion, every other summer, Addison—accompanied by her parents, of course—would visit the Île-de-France to see her father's side of the family. Though oftentimes Addison held civilness in high regard, her father's family was perpetually, excessively sophisticated to an extent she disliked. They were rather closed off as well, and she ultimately learnt in her youth that she is the only one that can truly, wholly understand herself.

First Instance of Magic:
A cool breeze swept through Addison's home on the night of her eighth birthday—as was expected on a typical winter evening. Having just feasted with her friends on her chocolate birthday cake, her parents hastily prepared the living room for all the children to sleep in. The children then tucked themselves into their individual mattresses as Addison's father extinguished the house's fireplace. Deeper into the night, while the children slept, the living room that was once warm and comfortable had become as chilling as a midnight stroll in pouring snow. After tossing and turning, Addison awoke, dismayed by the newfound frigidness of the room. In response, she frustratingly muttered, 'Ah... It is much too cold!' and coals in the nearby fireplace ignited suddenly with a thunderous crackling noise. Awaking the other children, they were collectively aghast. A night that would have previously been considered regular became one filled with shock and marvel.

Application:
Bustling with cerebral pure-bloods, Addison's home was one that strongly encouraged academic success. Her parents and grandparents were adamant that she develop in a logical and methodical environment, but her great-great-grandmother hoped for an alternative approach. Her father, a historian, took an interest in researching both his and his wife's (Addison's mother's) family history. It was discovered that some of Addison's ancestors, from both her mother's and father's sides of the family, were seers. The closest relative being her great-great-grandmother, who had lived with them, though there were many more that were discovered, and even more that were expected to have lived with these abilities deeper into their family genealogy. Such members of her distant family that possessed this ability—particularly on her father's side—were not outcast, but they usually embodied different values than those of the rest of the family. This resulted in many of Addison's older relatives living or having lived separate, detached lives.

Addison's great-great-grandmother raved about the power of her Inner Eye, describing it as an instrument that allowed her to predict the future. She, Eleanor, held a strong hope in her heart that Addison would possess the abilities of a seer. It was a likely scenario, as Addison was the fourth generation of de Montmorencys since Eleanor, and, typically, the abilities of a seer would skip three generations, appearing in the fourth. Eleanor often spoke to Addison about her ability to foretell the coming of rainfall far prior to that of an augurey bird's call. Sometimes, when Addison was outside, her great-great-grandmother would visit her during clear skies, warning her of a storm that she claimed would come—and sure enough, they arrived in coherence with her predictions. Eleanor also informed Addison of a more confronting aspect of a seer's abilities: constant contemplation of actions and their consequences. Eleanor explained that, as a seer could peer into the future, they witnessed each potential outcome and were faced with deciding when and where to intervene.

Addison and her great-great-grandmother, though unfortunately short-lived, had a closer connection compared to relationships they built with other family members and people outside of their family. Especially after Eleanor's passing, Addison was quite reserved as a child. She often noticed strong and sudden waves of emotion that, upon reflection, related to situations she then experienced in the future. It was not until the death of her great-great-grandmother that Addison began to document these occasions. She filled pages in her commonplace books that demonstrated wise and intuitive thoughts she had, similar to those described by her great-great-grandmother. However, having not yet experienced a vivid vision, she wondered whether the only quality she'd inherited from her great-great-grandmother was optimism. As these intuitive occurrences became more frequent, she noted that thick grey hairs would emerge clearly among her auburn hair; though they would eventually be hidden by the far more numerous collection of bright copper hair strands. One dewy morning before preparatory school, Addison's mother combed through her hair and noticed a patch where these grey hairs grew. This was during a time when Addison was worrisome about uncomfortable experiences she felt would occur at school in the coming days. She could not feel physical pain, but she could sense it approaching and was ultimately unsurprised when a friend of hers badly scraped her knee the following day at school. This experience upset her, as she was unable to intervene as her great-great-grandmother had described; however, she was now able to understand that she held the true potential of to be a seer.
