FAQ — Questions
1] Prodigal Charms would work for every year, so you do not need to get Prodigal Charms year after year for instance if you wanted to be a Prodigal Charms learner from y1 onward, you just need to get it once.
2] There is no present way to abstain from registering with the Ministry. It may become a separate ability in the future if there is a major want for it, but having the option for free to say that you are unknown as one would result in most taking that option and in universe we would have to figure out what to do about discovering unregistered users IC to reconcile the environment and setting (so there would have to be a lot of things to consider when we get there but with enough thought most things are possible in some way).
There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

FAQ — Questions
The Wandless Magic ability requires a wisdom stat of 20, which you can't get until 5th year, but Nonverbal Magic requires Wandless Magic or being at least 6th year.
The thing that's confusing me here is that even if you pick up Wandless Magic in 5th year, you can't get Nonverbal Magic until 6th year anyway, was this a typo or was Nonverbal Magic supposed to be unlockable before 6th year?

It is intended to be that way. Those are advanced abilities that require a skill level that students of lower years don't have.Alfie Robinson wrote: The Wandless Magic ability requires a wisdom stat of 20, which you can't get until 5th year, but Nonverbal Magic requires Wandless Magic or being at least 6th year.

FAQ — Questions
If that's the case, which is perfectly fine, then the Nonverbal Magic restrictions are a bit redundant is all, since you can only get it starting 6th year and onwards and having or lacking Wandless Magic is irrelevant.Elaine Pendrast wrote:It is intended to be that way. I didn't know it didn't workElaine Pendrast wrote: 29 Jul 2019, 09:45Because in an ideal setting it's supposed to work. The site owner who is in charge of the code is a Frenchman who also manages our French sister site and has a busy real life. The owl drafts not working is inconvenient but has no impact on the everyday business of the site, so it's not a high priority bug fix. If he has the time he will come around to fixing it, but we don't know when that will be.Logan Berry wrote: Ok, here's a follow-up question: Why is there a button allowing someone to save an owl draft if it doesn't actually save?

FAQ — Questions
OK, so with the creation of a dNPC from a different school, I have a few questions:
1) It was mentioned that we would be able to create a pen pal from different schools. Obviously we are only allowed to create one, so I was wondering what schools those would be. Durmstrang and Beaxbatons are mentioned, but what about other schools mentioned on Pottermore?
2) I don't think this is true, but we don't have to have created a dNPC to participate in upcoming adventures, correct?
Thanks for the clarification!

1. As of right now, Ilvermony is the only school from which you can create a dNPC. While the other schools, such as Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, may be added later, Ilvermony is the only one for now. However, there is a limit on how many dNPCs can be associated with your account (more specifically, one per account), so we suggest you think about it and choose wisely. i.e. if you would prefer to create one from Beauxbatons, perhaps sit this round out and wait until the other schools are added later.
2. Correct, you do not need to create a dNPC to participate in upcoming adventures, those will be open to your student as well.
* If any of this is incorrect, please feel free to correct me, as I know there have been lots of questions around the new release of the NPC signups.
