The Fall Ball (Masquerade)
Opposites attract collide.
The glimmering of the blade was attracting to the eye, so even such a tragic failure had been used as a distraction to getaway. Hit - blink - and it's gone. The rapier soundlessly clanked onto the floor and Meenauh lost the sight of the doll. The mind tried to imagine what could have happened to Xailah (@Xailah Alptraum) if the blade would come her way.
But while she lost the doll, someone (@Vladimir Athanatos) made it their task to search for it instead. The figure wasn't known to her due to the theme of the gathering, but it seemed was perfectly known to Xailah even in a mask. The metamorph had her ways of knowing or better put sensing things. And even better when people were involved.
The conscious mind was still. The attacks were already happening, but Meenauh was still at the stage of analysing. As Xailah was raising her own wand, someone was preparing their own counter-attack. While it wasn't easy to predict it in the overall chaotic nature of the event, it seemed a few people had already been spending some time overseeing the Duo and the Doll. Otherwise how come so many people got their interest.
"Why the boy went searching right away? Why Xailah is targeting him? What does she know? What does he know? Who is he?" the Rational didn't keep it to itself. Who was the boy really that instead of surprise he went straightaway to getting? A lazy and correct assumption would pass by and float into the air for a while before coming into her mind later, but not realised just yet — there were dangers coming. So it was only a good thing her grasp on the wand was still in full power.
In a swing of the wand, without quite realising who was planning what they were planning and what was going to happen, she cast a spell — "Depulso!" — at the approaching attacker. To prevent prevention. Let the clash begin.

“I also think that maybe... I should also start calling you my girlfriend... I don’t know how this works but I think it sounds much better to me,”
The words tickled Atlas' mind as she played them back the entire evening. Every time she and Ethen's eyes met a small giggle or hair tuck would take place but unlike before it was harder to look away now. They had spent the entire evening attempting to dance to every obscure song that band played and while she felt exhausted she wanted nothing more than for this night to never end.
Gently taking Ethen's hand, Atlas led him to the dessert table as she picked up two pumpkin-shaped croissants handing one to Ethen. Holding it in the air comically, Atlas began her little vow.
"Ethen you are the best friend anyone in the entire world could ask for and I still can't fully wrap my head around us dating but nevertheless I am excited. Even though we are a gooey couple now I don't want us to lose our weirdness and all the eye rolls we get from other students. So yes I will be your girlfriend as long as you promise we can be gooey and weird at the same time."
With that, the young fiery girl smashed the dessert into her mouth chomping down on it as crumbs poofed out of her mouth with each breath. Scrunching her nose, she quickly took another pumpkin croissant smushing it into her mouth until she could barely close it as she could feel herself holding back laughter in fear of spitting it all up in Ethen's face.
"Buh yuh cah buh tuh!" She mumbled feeling her cheeks straining against the added pressure. She couldn't remember where their tradition of filling their cheeks like chipmunks came from but she assumed it probably started when they first met.
Staring wide-eyed at him, Atlas waited for his attempt as he never backed down from a challenge.

Ethen’s nerves were high but each moment they remained together, he found it increasingly bearable the longer he remained fixed to the girl. Ethen was pretty sure he had never spent some much time dancing but he would continue to wiggle about if it meant that he didn’t have to be pulled away from their moment together. He was happier than he could recall for a night that was easily the most awkward of his short existence.
After a momentary pause, Atlas took his hand and began leading him to the table of desserts. It was clear the girl knew the true path to remain a fixture in his heart. Taking the croissant with a smile and lifting it in the air, Ethen smiled and giggled as the girl announced her creed.
“Atlas! I promise you that I only know how to be gooey and weird at the same time. It will take more than some hand-holding to keep us from being weird,” he said just as the girl smashed the dessert into her mouth. A second one quickly followed and Ethen continued laughing as crumbs trickled from her mouth. It wasn’t the most elegant display but Ethen was deeply inspired. It was as clear a challenge as he had ever seen. And when the girl mumbled incoherently at him, he knew it was his time to shine. To prove that he had what it took.
The first croissant flew into his mouth with alarming fury and his nimble fingers were quick to snatch up another one before cramming it into his mouth. The first one was simple but with the second he could feel his cheeks straining to keep in the delicious treat. His impulse to start laughing would result in launching the half-chewed food right into the girl’s face which would be funny but he thought it was a poor idea. Smiling as he got the two croissants into his mouth, Ethen scooped up the third one.
“Ah suh yuh tuh, uh ruh uh wah cuh suh!” He mummed, trying not to launch moisturized croissant on the girl's face. With that, Ethen’s eyes widened and he began cramming the third croissant into his mouth quickly realizing it was a poor plan. Emergency alarms rang in his head that it was too much, but he couldn’t back down now. It was for his honor! Bit by bit, the croissant was forced into place leaving his mouth agape and filled with food as he did his best to close his mouth around it. “Guh uh!” Ethen cheered through the food as he peered at the girl for a moment, fearing that the croissants would burst free at any moment but enjoying the sight of the smiling girl.

The ballroom was simmering down, various cliques forming as the swing of the party came crashing to its end. All of which Roberta was electing to ignore in favor of the awkward boy in tow behind her. She would not be forward enough so as to drag him along behind her, but instead she would turn every so often and dare to see if he was still charmed enough by her graces to follow. Giving him confident flashes of her brilliant grin to reassure him, she was ready for a good time so she led them towards the center of the Ballroom.
She had felt as though she wanted to dance so badly before, when her date was ignoring her, but as she walked briskly the only thing that filled her mind was the imaginary looks of jealousy her boring date's face would bear as she danced with someone more easily persuaded and hopefully more present than he had been. Why she still had a need to impress him and earn his attention was a sticking point for her, something she would have admitted to letting go of if asked about, but in actuality still stubbornly held onto despite appearances.
For Roberta, feelings were hard to beat, and these were hard feelings of a caliber she had never been measured against. Perhaps by accident, the young duelist came to the conclusion that if these feelings were an obstacle to her happiness and she couldn't manage to let them go, then they would likely become an obstacle to anyone else who tried to cheer her up and maybe that was her own fault for having high expectations. Roberta certainly didn't want Noah to be unhappy, she had only just met him, so she let the feelings go if only to be happy with him for the evening.
Picking up pace, she passed by a weird couple of kids, both of whom were speaking, laughing, and mumbling incoherently while stuffing too many croissants into their mouths. Normally Roberta would have laughed until her cheeks burned and hurt from smiling, but now she felt as if she was missing out on something far greater than the joy of laughter. Though they seemed happy and their laughter was contagious, the happiness didn't infect her like it seemed it had done to the others as she had let her boy problems escalate to an uncomfortable level and was so focused on forgetting them, she couldn't.
No, she wasn't going to be satisfied until she got what she wanted, or at least what she thought she wanted, and what she thought she wanted more than anything was to go dancing and forget the whole thing in its entirety. There was something about music and dancing that carried her away. She continued to push past them, all of them, and whether or not they got in her way Roberta would make it out to the edge of the dance floor where she her undiscovered dreams of being worthy of someone else's admiration might come true. Here is where she would face her fears, as her father said, "A smart warrior chooses their footing wisely."
With time escaping them, and the ball coming to a close, the warrior of a ballerina was admittedly more frantic than composed and slightly more anxious that the boy behind might reject her due to the blunt way she had spoken with him earlier. Turning around in a tight twist, she would spin elegantly and offer her hand to Noah, the navy blue dress bespeckled with stars would settle before she gave him an elegant curtsy and a pleading look. "Care to dance?" She would say in her gentlest voice. A voice that sounded more like a wounded apology than a request.
The invitation to dance was hopefully enticing to him, as she suspected that few would come to a ball alone and unwilling to dance with a stranger, but she still acknowledged to herself that he might reject her and leave her at the edge of glory. Would he leave her hanging in this moment of truth? She would keep her eye on the prize either way. She was eager to prove herself worthy.

@Rafael D'Spacito
An eyebrow quirked up at Rafael's suggestion that he would expect more from Hogwarts. He did honestly have high expectations compared to Ilvermorny. Especially for a school that was taking care of one of his favorite people, of course they needed to have suitable facilities and events to keep him entertained while Rett was away. "I hope one day you can come see Ilvermorny, just so you can see how high my expectations are. I think you'd enjoy it, possibly as much as I do. But, you're right Hogwarts has continually kept the expectations high." It was amazing what the students could plan too, a lot of the things he seemed to attend had been created and curated by students while supervised by the adults. While the students were indeed a mixed bag of personalities, it seemed like the right ones tended to shine through. Like his darling Quidditch captain.
While the fights broke out and feelings were hurt, Rafael was the one to capture his attention. Rett's sweeping glance across the ballroom couldn't help but land on the boy's face next to him. He was truly one that had been sculpted by whatever God existed, everything about him was absolutely perfect in Everett's eyes. A perfection he could only hope Rafael saw in him. While Rett was overall confident in his time next to Rafael, hand in hand with him, there were times when doubt seemed to sink in. About how Rafael felt about him. About whether or not he thought about him while he was back in America. Rett would be a fool not to know there were others vying after his heart with how glorious he was. Not that Rett was exactly a hot commodity in his own school, but he did have his options on backup in case this trip was the one that broke his heart. While Rett saw Rafael's lips moving, he wasn't phased in to hear what it was exactly. It didn't seem all to important when Rafael accepted his offer to dance.
He gently pulled Rafael onto the dance floor with him, away from all of the chaos that was happening elsewhere. Nothing would interrupt this moment. With the boy's confession about not being much of a dancer, Rett easily slipped into the lead. Gently taking Rafael's hands and putting one on his shoulder while the other intertwined with his. Rett's other hand laid respectfully at his waist. He couldn't help but snort when Rafael called him mate. "Of course, friend." Was this some sort of cover up of some sort? He started them off slow, muttering directions of where Rafael's feet should go and the beat of the song before speaking up normally again. "Tell me, Rafael, do you kiss most of your mates? Or is that reserved for the extra special ones?" A playful tone with a bite behind it. If Rafael wasn't feeling the same way, Rett wasn't about to waste time with him. As much as it would hurt him to walk away, he wouldn't relive what happened to Johannes. Reaching out, with no reciprocation.

The Fall Ball (Masquerade)

Mentioning:@Thomas Lestrange| @Marion Davenport | @Piérre Marchonné
While Thomas was attempting to antagonize everyone’s favorite perky blonde Ravenclaw, Maria took a glance at the other girl’s sate. The boy, who she was sure was a Quidditch player (yes, the broom gave it away) gave her a small smile when they approached. He seemed to want to stay out of trouble, and internally Maria wanted to advise him that with his choice of date, it may not be an easy feat. When he’d decided he’d poked the bear long enough her date “kindly” led her away from the pair. As they walked, Maria once again scanned the crowd, her habit of observing the room and hypervigilance keeping her on edge.
She half-heard his question, offering a quip in return “Well, you aren’t ugly-“ her sentence ended just as fast as it began and instead ended with “-but that thing is” mumbled under her breath.
At first she thought her eyes were just playing tricks on her - a small insignificant shadow gracing her vision. But it was not insignificant, nor was it a shadow. It was a doll. It was not like the ones she used to have, displayed on store shelves, made of plastic with an array of clothing. No, this one screamed evil . Clearly it’s manufacturer’s didn’t grace it with good looks but it was likely more for function.
And here she though her date’s inability to speak in coherent sentences was the weirdest thing she’d encounter tonight.
Maria saw the doll slip into the shadows. She did not know where it was going but more than anything she sensed it was not good. It wasn’t a trick, it definitely wasn’t a treat – it felt like a trap. Or maybe it was trying to trap something – or someone.
A fight broke out somewhere, only amplifying her distress. Brief images of a dark figure in a hole in the common room and a whispered voice faulting her for seeing something resurfaced in her mind. Would this haunt her in the same way that experience would? To this day she hadn’t spoken about the event, nor did she question it. But now, this seemed to become a pattern. See bad things, more bad things happen.
A gasp would escape the Huffle’s lips, her eyes widening. “Did you see that?” She would turn to meet her date’s gaze, his own already questioning what she saw and looking for it. “I saw something it ran over there. I think it’s trying to hide.” She would point to where she saw it, and in a moment that would make you question if maybe this recklessness warranted her a change of house, she went after it. The adrenaline made her ears ring as she tried to stop it from getting away, hopefully her date had the sense to follow her or get help. More than likely he’d probably think she’d gone mad. However, impressions on acquaintances did not matter to the young, impulsive girl at the moment. No, she had to make sure she’d not been “seeing” fleeting figures again.

Pumpkin juice being thrown around Thomas was not really an abnormal situation, it would seem when it came to pairing him and dances. However, this time the pumpkin juice was not thrown at him; no, what had caught Santario’s attention was a goblet sailing to the floor as she walked around, keeping an eye on her friend, her wand still in hand from her previous confrontation. Why would the girl throw her goblet at the floor like that? Surly, the pumpkin juice was not that terrible? Granted, Santario had yet to taste any of the fares for the evening; she doubted that that was the issue.Roleplaying| Santario Martin

Her eyes traveled to the ground, trying to see what in the world it was that Maria could have been violently throwing her goblet at. This action reminded Santario of an entirely different night. A night during summer camp at the campfire stories where she saw Meenauh and older Gryffindor perfect fall into the bluebell flames. She remembered finding its tiny footprints in the ground around their feet, only cementing in her mind that it had tried unsuccessfully to kill the girl it had seemingly pushed into the fire. Santario sincerely hoped she wasn’t right at what she had stated earlier this night and at what she might see if she was unlucky enough.

The Fall Ball (Masquerade)

Effects
@Piérre Marchonné has successfully mounted his broom
While the action continuing to take place near the entrance of the ball would not be on every dancer's radar, a new group of combatants squared up to scuffle. This time, two conflicts merged into one, with @Vladimir Athanatos and @Selim Faust versus @Xailah Alptraum and @Meenauh Silmataurea. As Vladimir sought to find the troublesome doll, Xailah attempted to stop him. Selim attempted to stop her. Meenauh attempted to stop Selim. Suddenly, the three were embroiled in combat.
Initiative is rolled to determine the order of action
Xailah: 1d100 [62], Selim: 1d100 [27], Meenauh: 1d100 [35]
Initiative order is Xailah > Meenauh > Selim
Xailah casts Full-Body Bind Curse on Vladimir[WDC 14]
Xailah's cast: 1d20 [15] + 10 = 25 (success)
Xailah's aim: 1d20 [11] + 9 = 20 (failure)
Vladimir's evasion: 1d20 [16] +15 = 31 (success)
Meenauh casts Banishment Charm on Selim [WDC 12]
Meenauh's cast: 1d20 [12] + 15 = 27 (success)
Selim's Evasive Maneuvers: 1d10 [2] (failure)
Meenauh's aim: 1d20 [4] + 9 = 13 (failure)
Selim's evasion: 1d20 [16] + 10 = 26 (success)
Selim punches Xailah
Selim's aim: 1d20 [8] + 10 + 2 (Martial Artist)= 20 (success)
Xailah's evasion: 1d20 [6] + 8 = 14 (failure)
Damage: (100*5*0.9)/5 = 90
Xailah's health: 1110/1200
The two girls weren't having any luck. Though they were faster than the would-be bodyguard, neither of them could accomplish their tasks. Was the frustration starting to show. after having lost the doll? Perhaps Selim had been too successful a distraction, since he easily sidestepped the attack coming his way and attacked Xailah. Though he hadn't arrived in time to alter her spell's path, he luckily hadn't needed to. Vladimir was safe as he once again attempted to diffuse violence with violence. The attack hadn't done much damage, though there were many more effective options available to him. Perhaps it was a sign that he once again wasn't trying to start a fight, but stop one. Still, he had laid a hand on her, which probably wouldn't go over well.
Elsewhere, @Erin Ryan was trying to keep her adrenaline pumping by starting a fight right after her first one finished.
Erin pushes Illowy
Erin's aim: 1d20 [8] + 7 = 15
Illowy's evasion: 1d20 [18] + 8 = 26
Having just seen Erin viciously attack Quinn, @Illowy Magnard was more than prepared to step away from the oncoming hand. Would she take this as a slight, or just Erin being Erin? Would Kyle hold Erin's hand?
Naturally, there was the matter of the disappearing doll. It had successfully hidden from everyone except for @Maria Dee, but that didn't stop others from trying to find what they knew was there. After Selim remarked on the doll's existence, both Vladimir and his date @Aaron Jones (NPC Madeline Nakamura) turned a curious eye to the floors. @Thomas Lestrange looked for what his date was looking at, while @Maya Galim looked around to assure Headmaster Plott that absolutely nothing was going wrong at the ball.

The doll hid really well. For all they knew, it had folded itself like an octopus and slipped into a completely imperceivable crack in the wall. It wasn't imperceivable though, as Professor Galim's trained eyes spotted the vile animated creature in a rare moment of movement. There was a filthy, animated doll running around, not to mention wands out and spells being cast. Which of those things was more important to her? Or perhaps, was there a reason to tell Plott that all was well and ignore the carnage? Perhaps...
There was only one person in-between the doll and the freedom of escape this time: Maria. Not sure she wanted to get involved in all this, danger always seemed to be cozying up to her anyway. Her thoughts were ones that she had to come to quickly, and maybe it would pay off. At least @Santario Martin's attention had been drawn by the act of throwing a goblet at the thing.
Maria throws goblet at Admirer
Maria's aim: 1d20 [17] + 8 = 25 (failure)
Admirer's evasion: 1d20 [20] + 10 = 30 (success)
San looks for what is being attacked
1d20 [1] + 8 + 5 (Maria's guidance) = 14 (failure)
This doll is on the ball. No one can touch it, no one can see it. The way it moves defies all logic, and it blends in with its scenery. Though since it had been found, it would try to leave. It wanted to wait for everyone to go first, but some people were just too observant. As for San... just as she tried to see where the goblet was supposed to go, a random rowdy dancer bumped into her, knocking her off the trail.
As the doll makes a mad dash to left the ball for good, it wouldn't be able to resist glancing at his gothic goddess for the inspiration to go on. She was being attacked by some slimy kid! That was almost worse than being her best friend! It might have been able to escape. No one could seem to catch it for more than a second after all, just slip into obscurity and continue to watch its love from the shadows until the right time came to strike. But no, this was for m'lady. The rapier was not grabbed, so it would be reclaimed. EN GARDE!
Admirer attacks Selim
Selim's Evasive Maneuvers: 1d10 [7] (failure)
Admirer's aim: 1d20 [15] + 10 = 25 (failure)
Selim's evasion: 1d20 [19] + 10 = 29 (success)
Stabbing forward with the clearly real blade, the slippery Selim would once again avoid any personal harm. Because of the large sword, it was no longer hidden to the group nearby.
Summary
Maya saw the doll and can say she saw everything that happened this round, including the fight
Maria missed it with her goblet, but can still see it
Xailah, Meenauh, Selim, and Vladimir can now see the doll (at the start of this upcoming round)
If she was watching Vladimir still, Madeline Nakamura can now also see the doll.
It's holding a rapier and tried to stab Selim.

For your consideration
- There will be a mod post every Friday, meaning the next mod will be on December 11th.
- There are two parties going on simultaneously, the Masquerade in the Ballroom and the Costume Party in the Rehearsal Room. Both are on the fourth floor of Hogwarts, so travelling between the two does not take much time. For ease of moderation, please clearly denote when you are going from one to the other. During moderation, this takes a full action.
- Your characters are no longer able to join the ongoing Hunt. People who have already joined the Hunt can still travel between all three locations, but each movement will still take a full action unless otherwise stated.
- Because changing parties is considered an action, this means you can switch once a week, though that also means you won't be able to take another action until the next mod.
- Actions besides changing parties are any attempt to do something to someone else such as attack, investigate, cast any spell, or generally anything that has a chance to fail depending on your stats. Minor interactions that are agreed upon between two players are free to take as much as you like. If you're unsure whether your intended plan involves an action, you can feel free to message me for clarification. Please do not roll your own actions even if they are minor.

The Fall Ball (Masquerade)
action: being scared to death and accepting (?) Roberta's ( @Sylvain Indarys ) request to join him for a dance.
Scary. This place was scary. It wasn't like he hadn't been to parties and stuff before, he had to, as a kid, for family occasions and stuff. But those were fairly rare, his family barely ever went to those. And even when they did, he always just hid behind his parents. He was used to being alone at Hogwarts, he even had been to a few parties alone but the atmosphere made him feel so much more scared for some reason. And as if the room itself wasn't enough to make him uncomfortable, the girl who had asked him to come in in the first place was scarier. He wasn't sure why but looking at her made him feel like he was staring at a teacher or something.
Noah loved to say he could read people, the reality behind that was questionable. He only guessed things, he never got feedback and got to confirm his theories about people and such, although he wasn't aware of this either, he'd barely ever thought about how the world might actually not be how he sees it to be, he was just a stupid idiot child after all. When he looked at the girl in front of him, he got the impression that she had a lot of confidence in herself, the way she walked, the way she looked when she glanced back at him, it was almost shocking to him how fearless she looked, especially in comparison to him. He was avoiding looking anywhere but down, he just kept looking up at her slightly when she looked at him, in case she was trying to signal something to him or something but ultimately, Noah's body language easily gave his feelings off.
What was up with her though? She just randomly walked out and asked him to join her... he still wasn't entirely sure if this counted as her date but it was still too much considering she didn't even know his name. Was she really that confident or whatever? She didn't need to worry about anything and could just say anything to anyone as she likes? But still, why him? Literally no one had bothered to ask him so far, especially not someone who just set their eyes on him. People didn't particularly like or dislike him from what he could say, he wasn't avoided or anything, according to what he thought. They just ignored him, he wasn't really worth anyone hating him either. It sometimes made him wonder if that was just how boring he lived his life, which made this interaction that much more scary but at the same time, really exciting. Occasions where he was pushed like this were rare, and as much as he couldn't say he liked them, he couldn't deny it felt somewhat exciting, despite him feeling disgusted at the fact.
What concerned him most right now was the fact that she seemed to be expecting him to follow her, to the centre of the stage. Of course, this didn't really have to mean anything, did it? But even Noah wasn't dumb enough to just brush off the fact that this probably meant she was expecting him to dance. He did plan on coming to the party but things had taken a turn, he had never expected things to go anything like this, not in the slightest. And despite him somewhat dreading it, he felt his body tense up a bit as she turned around. And he might as well have died instantly as she asked him to dance with her. The only time that kept him from it was her voice, it didn't sound fierce at all, it sounded kind, somewhat comforting actually. Of course, he still flinched slightly still at it, it was kind of believe that she actually wanted to dance with him.
He was really just too shocked to say anything but make weird noises of confusion as he tried to process what was happening. It took him a handful of seconds before he was able to use his vocal cords to string together a few words of the English language. "Yeah? I... If it's okay with you?" Or was she just being nice to him and actually didn't want to dance with him but said it because she has to uphold her manners or something like that? That was possible, wasn't it? "I mean don't mind or anything... if you're sure you'd be okay with that?"
But as soon as he said that his brain immediately started questioning why he sounded so eager in the first place, it wasn't like he wanted to dance, why was he making it sound like he did want to dance anyway? Wait, he hadn't even given any thought to whether he wanted to dance with her or not, it was almost like he assumed it was obvious. What the hell was wrong with him? But it was too late to say anything now. And although he didn't realise it, he wouldn't have said anything even if he could.

It was hardly a fight. Xailahs spell whizzed past Vladimir. She didn't expect to hit him- but would she have liked to? Certainly. But alas, the spell had missed. And that was fine. There was always next time. Besides, he was going to die anyway. No one got out of deals with hags, without having to pay a price. The metamorph was quite frankly, tired of all the strange happenings in the school. Shadow spiders. Crazy nurses. Drugged candies- attempting to cannibalize ones roommate was not a particularly fun experience. Vladimir always seemed to have some sort of involvement with the things that happened. Coincidence? I think not. He had accumulated a lot of enemies. Was the metamorph one of them? No. But she certainly was no friend either. She was just a child who was fed up with the twisted state of the reality that she, and those she cared for, were having to live in. An animal, tired of the prodding.
She stood with one hand resting on her hip, as she looked towards Vladimir. She cocked her head to one side. Next time. A spell would be fired from behind. Meenauh? Now what was happening? On the side opposite of where the spell had been cast, Xailah would feel something touch (hit?? she couldn't tell) her arm- naturally, she pulled away. She would turn to find a rather small child standing near her. She blinked dully at the kid, with those eerie feline eyes of hers. A part goblin? Or just another youngling that had been smuggled into Hogwarts, and was in need of attention? The school seemed to have a lot of the latter. Maybe the child had mistaken the Masquerade for being the costume party? Whatever the case was, it wasn't exactly her problem. Uninterested, the lioness began to turn away, to say something to Meenauh.
Xailah had started to cool down. The mild adrenaline spikes began to wear off. "That was Vladimir Athanatos." She said quietly to her friend. "Someone will get him eventually." Whatever that was supposed to mean. A shoulder stiffly shrugged. She turned again, this time to see a glint of metal bobbing about. It would swing at the child that had previously, and oh-so-weirdly grabbed her arm. Oh- wasn't that the rapier from earlier? Indeed. And there was the doll. Again. Why hadn't it left yet? Didn't matter. This time it would be caught. Maybe. "That is enough. Come here." The Gryffindor lunged towards the little creature, completely ignoring the rapier that it held. Seemingly sharp objects had never been a deterrent for the girl.
Before me, you rightly tremble. But, fear is not what you owe me. You owe me awe....
