Character Backstory:ReducioBefore Hogwarts, Rhys Hetherington was a spirited child, known for lighting up any room he walked into. He grew up in a lively household in Birmingham, where laughter and chatter filled the rooms. His parents, both warm and supportive, encouraged his adventurous spirit, though they often had to rein in his more mischievous tendencies.
Rhys grew up outside of the wizarding world in his parents attempt to give him as normal a childhood as possible. His mum was muggle born and joining the wizarding world at 11 had caused great tensions between her and her family and had driven an irrepairable wedge between them. His mum and dad had argued for hours about the best way to raise their child, with his mum arguing that growing up like she did with an appreciation for the muggle world would result in Rhys being more down to earth and able to fit in better in later life.
Prior to Rhys' being born, the arguing got so bad that his parents actually split for a while. His dad was a firm believer in raising Rhys in the magical world whereas his mum was entirely against it. Eventually, they managed to work out a deal where Rhys would be raised as "muggle" as possible until such a time he first displayed magic in which then they would start opening him up to the wizarding world.
Obviously this would cause issues, and so it was agreed that his dad would travel to work in London throughout the week and return home on weekends. It was never explained to Rhys what his father did for work until after is first use of magic and as such Rhys grew up believing that his dad just worked away a lot. His mum, whilst able to use magic preferred her muggle roots and conducted many tasks the "muggle" way including household tasks.
Whilst they accepted he would likely show magical abilities and would be accepted into Hogwarts, it wasn't something that they openly discussed around him. Rhys grew up without many of the electronic devices other children had and his parents put this down to them being poor and without money. It was only after his first use of magic he learnt that this was because of their magical ways interfearing with the electronic devices.
His parents had moved to Birmingham, England where his father commuted to London for "business" (he worked in the very low levels in the Ministry) whilst his mum stopped home to look after him. Due to this, whilst he had a loving relationship with his parents, Rhys has no relationship with his extended family on his father's side. It was only after Rhys first used accidental magic at the age of seven that both of his parents sat him down and truly explained the world that they came from.
Rhys was born without siblings, which upset him as he always wished he had younger siblings whom he could have modelled after himself and taken on his adventures climbing trees and otherwise causing chaos of some form.
Rhys’s outgoing personality made him a magnet for friends, and he rarely spent a day without some impromptu gathering or playdate. The young boy attended muggle primary schools as a result of growing up in the muggle world and he was the classic “class clown” in school, always up to something that would bring laughter, sometimes to his teachers’ frustration. Rhys craved the spotlight, whether it meant organizing games at recess or making jokes in class, and he delighted in entertaining his friends with tricks, stories, or exaggerated tales. Though sometimes a little too bold, his charisma won him many admirers, and he learned early on that popularity could be his if he just leaned into his natural charm. As a consequence, in his early years, Rhys’s desire for attention sometimes got him into trouble and he was usually on the recieving end of some form of punishment either from his parents or his teachers throughout his primary education.
Rhys got his Hogwarts acceptance letter for the 2024/2025 term via owl, on account of having magical parents. As he'd had his eyes opened to the wizarding world from the age of 9, it didn't come as a surprise to him. Both of his parents were supportive, however both hoped he wouldn't lose touch of his sense of self when he became truly invested in the world of magic.
First Instance of Magic:ReducioFunnily enough it was climbing trees when Rhys first used accidental magic. He had fallen from a tree and had found that he didn't hit the ground and do any damage like he expected but instead just slightly hovered and lowered gently into the dirt.

Hacue is the son of Charles and Amilea Salt. The salt family are Pure-blood naturalists who long ago was a powerful predominate family in the wizarding world but has long lost its influence. Hacue’s father Charles still has similar beliefs as his ancestry, but his mother has a more modern view of mud-bloods and half breeds. Which creates some tension in their household. Hacue is the middle child with two older brothers. His older brothers Thomas and Benson were sorted into hufflepuff and ravenclaw but never really did outstanding during their time at Hogwarts. Hacue’s father put a lot of pressure on him to become the standout in the family to put their name back on the top of the wizarding world.
This pressure made Hacue realize that laziness and focusing more on comforts is a weakness, so he sought out to purge these ideals from his mind by pushing himself physically and mentally at an early age. He constantly set out on adventures, challenges, and any extra experience he could do to set himself up for success in life.
He found himself constantly moving from place to place as his father always chased success for himself and his family which resulted in Hacue not really making any close ties with those around him. He found this isolation as a benefit because he was able to constantly challenge himself in new environment as well as those in his peer groups. As Hacue aged year by year he constantly pushed himself to take on new tasks and losing the fears he once had.

One weekend morning while in the woods with his friends he started hearing strange noises that nobody seemed to notice. Ignoring it at first, he crept deeper and deeper into the forest until discovering a wolf den. Inside the wolf den there was a variety of dead animals, which both spooked and enlightened the children. Deciding to further investigate they found some small birds, mice, and raccoons. In the distance a howl, and Hacue instantly realized the wolves were fast approaching. The boys hid in some nearby bushes hoping to sneak away but the wolves could smell something strange. Looking for a way out Hacue searched around and thought about climbing a tree. As he focused on a high branch it snapped startling the wolves and making them flee. This provided Hacue and his friends a chance to escape. He always wondered if it was coincidence or something else?

Born August 1, 2013, to Ryan and Rose Sláine, Amber had an uneventful first few years. Her parents lived in Upstate New York, on a farm bought by Ryan's late father. Ryan was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to his crops and livestock. Rose, on the other hand, was an artist at heart. She taught her daughter to paint, sew, and bake. Amber was a star student, but given the fact that she was homeschooled, practical lessons took priority over a classical education. Still, she performed well in all subjects, on par with most typical students.
Life on the farm was simple. Amber spent her early days exploring the fields, chasing butterflies, and playing hide-and-seek among rows of corn. She frequently collected wildflowers to create bouquets for her mother. When her father wasn't busy, he would teach her about the livestock, which sparked an interest in animals and their care.
Amber's great-uncle Tiernan, a Muggleborn, and his wife, Myrna, a Halfblood, visited frequently from Ireland, being the only family the Sláines had left. They brought delicious treats and hand-knit scarves, which Ryan often found odd but appreciated nonetheless. It never occurred to him that his daughter might have inherited the same unique traits that set Seamus and Myrna apart. Instead, he simply enjoyed their company.
A sudden storm swept through town during one of those visits. Ryan and Rose had planned to run some errands in town, leaving Amber with her aunt and uncle. When the storm turned severe, their return was delayed. That evening, the news came—a car accident.
Amber, only seven at time, was too young to fully process what had happened. She can't recall hearing the news, only the warmth of her aunt's arms and the terrifying sound of thunder. It seemed impossible that they could be gone in an instant. To the little girl, thunderstorms were a time for stories, and you didn't just die on the way to the market.
But they had, and they were gone.
The following weeks were spent navigating legal channels, both muggle and magical, so that Tiernan and Myrna could take their niece home. The process left them little time to grieve. Amber was confused and withdrawn, silent even when asked a question. The girl only wanted her mother.
Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, the three were allowed to return to Ireland. The small, coastal town of Dunfanaghy felt like a welcoming sight; it was where her father's side had resided for as long they could remember.
The next four years went by smoothly, with Amber learning more about the magical world and adapting much better than Tiernan and Myrna had anticipated.

During a particularly rough storm, the young girl was forced to confront her fear of thunder and lightning; as she sobbed into her aunt's arms, a nearby glass burst, sending shards of glass scattering across the floor. Amber didn't realize at first, but her aunt and uncle recognized that she was in fact magical. They hadn't expected it, given that she was eight, but they took it in stride.

FIOM:
Callum's first instance of magic happened when he was 9. Callum had been asking his parents for a new bike for Christmas since his old one needed some parts to get it fixed again. When he came down from upstairs, his eyes widened at what was waiting for him under the tree. Callum started jumping up and down with joy as he got what he wanted for Christmas, on one particular jump his feet didn't touch the ground again. Callum opened his eyes and found himself levitating off of the ground.

Hana Suzuki was born on the 13 of August, 2013 and was born and raised in London. Hana had an older brother who also goes to Hogwarts but is a Slytherin. Hana lived with her family happily normal when she haven't receive her letter, she also didn't know that she is a half-blood witch before that moment. Hana had her education in a muggle primary school and she adores fairytale books and stories. She always dreamt of being a witch (in muggles fairytale books) and fly with a broom. Hana always play and hang out with a group of kids who also like magic things and pretended to be a witch. Regarding her first instance of magic, Hana thought that she was only day-dreaming that’s why she didn’t choose to investigate more about this event. Although Hana’s father was a wizard, he didn’t tell Hana his real identity because he thought that it will give Hana a really big surprise when she receive her letter. Same as his brother, he didn’t tell Hana about the magic stuff just to give her a surprise. When Hana asked where did he go to school, he said that he was going to a secret school in Scotland. (Which of course is Hogwarts)When Hana received her Hogwarts acceptance letter from the mailbox, she was very confused. but after the explanation of her father and brother, Hana was very surprised and crazily happy when she found out that she was a real witch.
First Instance of Magic:

When Hana is 10, she was running from a spider, because Hana is scared of spiders at that age, so she was running while turning her head around to see if the spider is still there, apparently there is a small (2m) cliff in front of her which she didn’t notice and she accidentally tripped and fell down the small cliff. However, she was not injured because her body stopped before reaching the ground, that’s how she first found out that she had magic power.

A few things before I can approve you!
-Your character's first instance of magic is not included in your Encyclopedia. Please add this.
-Your character's father is said to have gone to Hogwarts instead of Mahoutokoro like the rest of his family. Can you please include if his first instance of magic was in the UK, or in Japan (since he is said to live in Japan)? If it happened in Japan, he would have gone to Mahoutokoro instead of Hogwarts.
-The backstory you have in this application is not the same as the one in your Encyclopedia. Please make sure they are the same. The backstory you have here is below the word count of 220.
-In the backstory in your Encyclopedia, you say "She always dreamt of being a witch (in the books)". Characters cannot have read or seen the Harry Potter movies or books, so if this is related to that, please remove it.
-I'm slightly confused as to why Hana didn't know she was a witch. Did her father never tell her he's a wizard? Did she never tell her family about her first instance of magic?
-Both of your character's parents are said to be from countries not in the UK. Where does Hana live? To go to Hogwarts, she'll have to have her first instance of magic in the UK. Please elaborate on this.
Status: Pending, Sage, December 26th
I'm reopening this!
- Your backstory is only 150 words (we do not count her physical appearance as part of her backstory). Please tell us more about Hana's life before Hogwarts to meet the 220 word count.
- Did Hana's dad ever tell her he's a wizard? If he didn't, why?
Status: Pending - Koko, 2 January 2025
- Please edit out the mention of Hana's brother attending Mahoutokoro, as he would need to be living in Japan for that to happen. Him attending Hogwarts might be more realistic.
- If her brother didn't tell her about his magic, how would he have been able to hide his attending a magical school? How would Hana have not found out?
Status: Pending - Koko, 29 January 2025
- Please either explain why her brother is able to attend Mahoutokoro (did he have his FIOM in Japan?) or edit that out.
Status: Pending - Koko, 2 February 2025
- Please review our lore regarding Mahoutokoro and either adjust the bit about your character's brother accordingly, or edit that out — it's perfectly plausible that he goes to Hogwarts and is in a higher year than Hana.

Backstory:
Perhaps most characters’ lives are exciting and full of lessons, mishaps and hardships, but I’m afraid that Arabella’s was pretty much simple. And, oh, so very happy.
She was born in the middle of quiet night, one that got awfully long and noisy, to be honest. That’s what happens when you have four older siblings, but she got used to that “symphony” pretty soon.
Even though she was the youngest, she never felt left behind, unattended, or not heard. Her parents were some of the lucky ones, they were quite well off, so they were never short on time to spend with their kids, or activities to afford. As Bella got older, she treasured more and more the moments with Americk and Gelasia Readman. She loved helping her mother take care of her plants, or polishing his dad old quidditch equipment. She even loved her siblings, although not so much when they were annoying and mean. Which was quite often. However, she knew they were the ones to go to if she ever needed help.
The oldest was Margareth. She loved studying and was the most responsible of them all. Bella adored her and wanted to be just like her. Margie was loving, polite, and all things right. The second, Cornelius, was another story. So wild, so funny. Their mother called him “Trouble”, and that was a much earned nickname. And then there were the twins, Charles and James. They had hearts of gold hidden under countless layers of sarcasm, or so their father said.
Yes, her family wasn’t perfect, but it was hers. She loved waking up and having breakfast all together, just as much as supper, when they could talk about their day. The worst moments in her life was having to say goodbye to her siblings every 1st of September. Oh, but that was about to change…
First Instance of Magic:
Well, it was, of course, caused by the twins, not a day like any other, in their lovely home (Edinburgh). Nothing like the mix of siblings playing with brand new Christmas toys to stir up trouble. Or for a couple older brothers to take advantage of her little sister (the poor thing was 5 at the time), like winning every single game they could. That is, until Bella bursted into tears, so angry and sad that her tantrum caused the most disgusting pimples to cover Charles and James faces. They both cried very hard thinking they would never be handsome again.

Yougle crenshaw was born in Hogsmeade, Scotland, on January 1, 2013. Her parents had always saw her as a beautiful angel, despite the trouble she would often find herself in.
Ever since she was 5 years old, Yougle's parents would always take her to Diagon Alley every weekend, visiting shops like Quality Quidditch Supplies ("You'll own a broom some day!") and Ollivander's (That's where Mummy and Daddy got our wands!). Yougle had always felt a longing to ride on a real nimbus, as Quidditch always looked so exciting and fun. Every time a Quidditch World Cup was held, her parents would buy them front row tickets.
On weekdays, Yougle is homeschooled, spending nearly all of her free time after studying her would-be core classes learning more about Quidditch or Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Yougle also had a few friends across the street. One day, when she was 9, Yougle was talking with her friend, Maria, on a grassy hill. Maria had been patting her cat on the head affectionately.
"Cats are soo cute," Maria had said. She petted Pumpkin (her cat) again, and grinned. Pumpkin had golden brown fur, gleaming in the sun, long, silky whiskers, and soft, yellow eyes. She swished her tail into the air again, then set it back down.
"Owls are cute too," Yougle added, thinking of her own pet owl, named after the famous Harry Potter's friend, Hermione Granger (Legend has it she got a 112% on her charms test!). Oh, how Yougle loved Hermione. She was the best owl in the world.
Maria wrinkled her nose a little. "Owls are stupid. They look ugly, and they never deliver mail on time." She continued stroking Pumpkin. "I don't see why anyone would want an owl."
"Hermione isn't stupid," Yougle said quietly. "She's the smartest thing I have ever met."
Maria shrugged. "Pumpkin is easily 10 times smarter than Hermione. She can barely differentiate between glass and air!"
"That's not true!" Yougle's face burned with rage. She stood abruptly and glared at Maria. "Don't insult Hermione! Your stupid cat can't even tell the difference between food and everything else!"
Maria just casually shrugged again. "True. Even so, Pumpkin is still better."
"Is not!"
"Is too."
"Is not!"
"Is too!"
Yougle glared at her real hard. A single strand of Maria's hair fell to the ground, followed another, then more and more. Within 10 seconds, all of Maria's hair had fallen out.
Maria, seeming to have noticed her bald head, started screeching. She felt her head all around, mouth agape in horror, and ran all the way back home, dragging Pumpkin behind her.
Yougle was too shocked and confused to do anything. She stood there for a while, tiled her head, shrugged, and walked home.

Yougle was arguing with her friend about whether cats were better or owls. She got very mad because her friend personally insulted her owl, saying it was ugly and stupid, while her cat was beautiful and smart. Yougle's friend's hair started to fall out until she was bald. She ran to her house screaming for her mother to fix her bald head while Yougle was very confused. Yougle walked home and told her mom about this, and her mom started laughing, a lot. Yougle didn't know why at the time, but now she can see that it was, indeed, hilarious. The friend and Yougle are still friends to this day, as they see this as just a funny little memory. This happened when they were 9.

Hello Yougle, there's a few more things that need to be added/changed before I can add you to the official index:
- Your characters backstory needs to be about their time before entering Hogwarts, please remove the mentions of Yougle getting sorted and receiving her Hogwarts letter

[850ish words] Ronan, Anella’s father, is an absolute hippie. Truly a man born in the wrong era – an eighties child who missed the “Flower Power” era by the skin of his teeth, and never got over it. Pair that with living in London, a fast paced, brick jungle, no matter how creative, and you’ve got a man desperately longing for connection with nature, with the elements. So every summer, during his only vacation of the year, he takes himself and Anella to this little countryside cottage that his friend rents him, although it is only an eight minute drive from the closest town. Every summer that Anella remembers from that little cabin has this golden filter over it and a background track of acoustic guitar, water splashing, and laughter. It was a safe haven for the small family, especially compared to the crime-riddled muggle London where Anella was used to growing up.
But the forest surrounding it held its own set of mysteries, and therefore dangers.
Anella’s curious nature has calmed down nowadays, but her six year old self couldn’t be contained. That year they went with another wizard, a close friend from Ronans Hogwarts days, Joe. The man was a healer, like a doting uncle to Anella and generally good company to their little father/daughter duo. Anella spent that summer learning how to swim, forcing the men to play soccer with her and exploring the outskirts of the forest under the supervision of one of her caretakers. She was building a herbarium – a project given to her by her father so he could get a break from all her sports.
It’s not a good idea to let a six year old child into the forest alone no matter how much you claim you won't take your eyes off of her. Because you will.
Late sundowns and hearty dinners, the two men decided to cook dinner together for their last full day at the cabin. Anella was told to only explore as far as they could see her from the kitchen window, and to come back by dark. Every single night coming up to that day there were zero problems, so everyone was very relaxed. Anella, joyous from her newfound freedom, took it upon herself to explore as deep into the forest as she could. Now – she wasn’t a fool, for she took a piece of newspaper and kept a trail to trace back once she had to go home. Hours passed by, eventually Ronan and Joe's attention was stolen by the frying fish and a glass of wine each, all while Anella was having a blast in the forest alone. It was sundown, the full moon had already appeared in the pink, then medium blue, then a velvet, navy sky above her. It was so beautiful. She should be heading back, she thought, so she started yelling to attract her fathers attention, just in case. Let him know that she was coming home. She wasn’t that far out, right?
She attracted the attention of something entirely else. Something far more sinister, far more cruel.
The second she heard the laboured breathing, felt the unmistakable feel of eyes on her back, she started running. Her paper trail came handy, she managed to get only a couple feet from the edge of the forest before the… literal monster got to her. Piercing her skinny pale shoulder, the sounds her mouth produced put every horror film actor ever to shame. Because nothing ever could replicate the undertone of the fear of death her voice rang with. Ronan ran, ran like a formula 1 car drove, Joe right behind him with an axe in his hand. The werewolf ran upon hearing their threatening yelling.
Anella was bleeding out, trembling and using all her remaining life to cling onto her fathers shirt and sob, whispering little “I love you”s. This was the first time that Anella felt the soft caress of death pet her cheek, while her father gripped her like gravity gripped the Earth together. And everything went black.
And then she woke up. The linen canopy of the guest room was the first thing she saw, and for a second she wondered if this was the white and bright haven that muggle preachers talked about. And then she registered something in hand, a … Oh, another hand. She slowly lowered her gaze to find her father at the the site of the bed, holding her hand with a frown. He seemed deep in thought, dark circles and red eyes indicating he hadn’t slept at all. Why? Oh.
Before she could even think about last night, Joe entered the room, almost dropping a basket he was holding when he saw that she was awake. The sudden action woke Ronan up from his musings as well, turning around to see what Joe was making such a commotion at. Following the man's gaze, there was Anella. Awake and, well, not well per say, but alive and awake. And that was enough for him to grip her hand like he did… that night. Like he might never let go again. And start sobbing. Joe slowly approached the young girl, petting her fathers bent head and then hers. He looked tired but… immensely happy.

The bedroom was dark, the lone nurse and the mother sitting together in crude silence. Once the birth happens, the timer starts. The nurse stands up, turns on the lamp, and nods as a way to excuse herself. The mother nods back. It wasn’t hard to get this woman to do her a favour – veela capabilities are handy when you’ve got to get away with something. Like giving birth to twins, for example. Only a hundred bucks and a pretty tear later, she was set. The second she could stand, one of the children will be dropped off at the Demarest's household. It could very well be their kids - Renatus was a gentlemanly lover, their affair lasted a little bit longer than expected. But what scares her is that the children could be Vaughns’ as well, which gives them way more chances of being squibs. And Vaughn was just a boy, even lying about his age just to take her out on a walk. It was a fun adventure, with the artist type, trying to gain a deeper connection with her. Which is why they won’t do well if they’re dropped off to the Demarests households – she knew that much. The plastic birth dress felt tight around her stomach. Ludovuca sighed, and it did nothing to help her discomfort. Maybe… well, she knows it’s twins. She’s way too big for a singlet. Maybe she could just… give both Renatus and Ronan a kid each. The plan after is to disappear anyways – her family in inland Russia have been owling her to come back for a while now. They don’t know she’s pregnant either. This was a fight she fought alone, and to be helped was to lose.
It all felt like hell on Earth, as muggles would say. Her back made her paralyzed, her mind was filled with the remains of her screams and struggles, the nurse was trying to juggle washing two screaming newborns at once in the tiny bathroom. It took hours for everyone to settle down, for Ludovica to be able to form a sentence. A small chat about the children, healthy, girl and a boy, both look so much like her. That was unhelpful. The nurse gave them nicknames – even though Ludovica insisted on not doing so. She wouldn’t give them names, or hold them. She couldn’t get attached. She slid a coin off the bedside table, deciding to figure out which father gets who. Heads – the boy goes to Renatus, Tails – the girl does. The coin is thrown, and all three bloodlines hold their breath.
Heads. Very well then.
(Long lost twins with @Sanguinius Demarest.)
Anella is the daughter of Ronan Vaughn, a half blood wizard who attended Hogwarts in his youth. An artist, sensitive and meek man whose genes practically copy-pasted onto his daughter. Anella’s mother, a muggle named Hazel, left them when the girl was an infant, suddenly realizing that this was her last chance to avoid the wizarding world and its intricacies. Ronan was, of course, heartbroken at the love of his life leaving, but pulled himself together very soon to make sure that Anella never noticed the absence of her runaway mother. Ronan studied at WAVAD and used his artistic knowledge to it’s absolute most to be able to support his child. He took on freelance work, ran multiple classes, sold all his best artwork that he initially wanted to save - and read as many parenting books in between as he could. Anella isn’t quite sure what’s going on with the rest of her family, Ronan never seemed to talk about their relatives, suddenly growing quiet when young Anne would ask. It was always just her and dad, and honestly? They didn’t need anyone else. They never tried to reach out, Anella barely knows her grandparents names. They must not care much. Anella has attended an ordinary public school in the middle of muggle London, managing to suppress her real nature with ridiculous amounts of Wolfsbane and prayers, managing to even integrate herself in a small gang of muggle girls her age. She’s aware that she’s different, longs for people like her - both in the witch and werewolf sense. The day she got invited to attend Hogwarts was the first time she didn’t feel alone in a… while.

Anella’s FIOM happened at age six, and it was pretty tame. She was learning how to ride a bike with her father in front of her house, which was located in a very sleepy and family-friendly neighborhood. She just managed to take off without her father pushing her when a huge dog ran towards her, barking very loudly. Anella, scared and under adrenaline, accidentally froze the dog in place a couple feet away from her. Tongue out and everything. It was like she just pressed pause on him. With the help of her father, they undid the accidental spell and then went out for ice cream.

Owled. Need clarification from Sanguinius.
Update: clarification has been made here. Blood status changes can be done.
STATUS: Pending, Zach Zaphietr, 1 December
Reason for Pending:
1. At this moment, we don't have the lore about a summer camp that teaches muggles and wizards sports. Besides, both world are very different in cultures. Wizards also have the secrecy statute that should be followed. Another option is to change it to a small group that give education prior to Hogwarts. Please change the special talent part of this form so it can suit the lore.
2. Please change the information in your encyclopedia page from half-blood ("halfie" in your case) to pure-blood.

Character Backstory: The Thornfield family is a pureblood lineage, mostly known for their mastery in potions. Ira was born in a strict household. She was the eldest child of Reginald Thornfield and Apsara Thornfield. She loves spending time with her sister. Though her human connections are limited, she finds solace in the company of plants, where nature’s quiet companionship never leaves her feeling lonely. On occasion, she meets with her cousins from her father's side, with whom she shares a warm and close bond, which she cherishes for life. Ira’s father, an exacting and demanding man, is a renowned potion master who insists on meticulous discipline in his craft and expects nothing short of excellence from himself and his daughter. His strict standards have shaped Ila’s upbringing, instilling in her a need to prove herself and live up to the Thornfield name, which can sometimes cause quite a bit of pressure on her. Her mother, while equally demanding, places a higher value on maintaining family charm and upholding traditions. Though less involved in potion-making, her mother is a skilled herbologist, specializing in the cultivation of rare and extraordinary magical plants. Her expertise has earned her recognition in her field, and her charm has earned her people in her life. Despite the Thornfields' high expectations, Ila often finds herself questioning whether she can truly meet their standards. However, she works hard to make her family proud one day. No matter how impossible that sounds to herself.
First Instance of Magic: At nine years old, Ira had more than one worry weighing heavily on her mind. At the top of her list was the question that had plagued her for months: would she make it to Hogwarts, or would she be a disappointment to her parents? Given her current state of turmoil, it seemed more likely that she was already living up to that fear. She couldn’t bear the thought of being disowned, of not living up to the Thornfield legacy. What would happen if she ended up... what did they call it again? A Squib? Right, a Squib. She must be one. Ira shook her head, dread flooding her chest at the thought.
Sitting on the steps, Ira absentmindedly fiddled with her brooch, the family heirloom. "Ira, stop playing with that, child," came her mother’s sharp voice from behind, breaking the stillness of the evening. The sudden sound startled Ira, and her grip slipped. In a panic, the brooch tumbled from her fingers.
"No, no, no!" she cried, desperate to catch it. Unwilling to hear another lecture, she lunged forward, but her feet slipped. The world tilted, and before she could steady herself, she was rolling down the steps. A scream from her mother echoed in her ears, but Ira didn’t feel the crash of the fall.
Instead, she landed with a soft, spongy thud. Stunned, she sat up, and to her surprise, nothing hurt. As her vision cleared, she saw her mother’s face, which had transformed from sheer panic to an unrestrained smile.
"Oh dear!" Her mother laughed, her eyes glistening with happy tears as she pulled Ira into a hug. "Ma!" Ira blushed, pulling back slightly. "A sane person wouldn’t laugh at their daughter falling down the stairs for your kind information" But her mother only laughed harder, and Ira couldn’t help but join in, her own laughter bubbling up. Good lord! Ira thought. She wouldn’t have gotten away with calling her mother insane in any other situation, but this wasn’t any other situation. This was the day she realized, with a strange warmth in her chest, that maybe, just maybe, she wasn’t a disappointment after all. At least, not yet. That's for sure.

Ira Mythili Winslow Thornfield was born into the prestigious Thornfield lineage, a family that is well known for their mastery in potions and fiercely proud of their pureblood heritage. The Thornfields had long upheld their legacy of excellence, ensuring their place in society. Yet, beneath the flawless exterior, a secret loomed in the shadows—one unknown to the world and kept from Ira herself. Reginald Thornfield, Ira's beloved but strict father, the eldest son of his generation, upheld their traditions with unwavering discipline and a sharp eye for perfection. He demanded nothing short of excellence and perfection. However, it was her mother, Apsara Thornfield, who was the one veiled in secrecy. The person who brought an air of quiet mystery into their lives. Apsara was a strikingly beautiful woman, her presence almost otherworldly. She carried herself with a grace that seemed effortless, her charm so subtle and natural that only very few could resist it. Disagreements with her were as rare as four-leaf clovers, and even the sharpest arguments would dissolve by her charm into harmony. People often whispered about her unusual charisma but dismissed it as mere coincidence, exactly as she wanted. Apsara blended seamlessly into the Thornfield family, keeping the truth of her origins locked away, unveiled to others. The answers to these unspoken questions lay not with Apsara but with Ira’s grandmother, Lyanna—a Veela, a being of breathtaking beauty and power. She was a mesmerizing beauty. Apsara’s charm and allure were a faint echo of her mother’s Veela heritage. Lyanna met the love of her life during her early 20s, an Indian wizard and healer who traveled around the world, offering his services to those in need. Their connection was instant, and their bond developed beautifully into love. However, Lyanna's relationship with her daughter grew distant with the years. She had always been kept at arm’s length from Apsara’s life with her social circle and the Thornfields. Reginald himself had never met his mother-in-law. That was her way of protecting herself from the judgmental eyes. There the truth remained buried, just out of reach, like a treasure hidden beneath layers of soil. Even if she loves her husband with all her heart and soul, she couldn't get herself to spill the truth to him. When Apsara gave birth to Ira, she intended to reveal the truth to her daughter at the right moment, but every time she considered it, a doubt clouded her mind. Her child was very young; she didn't know how Ira would handle the truth. She didn't know if her daughter would understand the weight of the situation and would be capable of keeping such a secret. She couldn't risk it when she's totally aware of her husband's personality. Though Ira was deprived of her rights to know such a significant detail about her life, she inherited the charm of her mother and grandmother. It naturally manifested in her artistic pursuits, particularly when she sang and danced. Ira had a knack for persuading people and situations to bend to her will. She often takes pride in it, though she rarely acknowledges it openly. At times she grasps people's undivided attention, though not intending to. Even more telling were the subtle changes in demeanor. When her temper flares or her emotions stir, though faint, there is an unmistakable ring of blue in her dark eyes. It was the small things about her that proved the legacy she carries.

Pamela originally lived in Ipswich, England and grew up shifting from place to place. Her father, Asher Graham, is a muggle who works as a journalist and reporter. Pamela probably got her love for writing and books from him. His work would take Pamela all around the world. Her mother, Lara, died when she was around 2 yrs, when her parents had got into a serious car accident. While her father had been gravely injured, but had still survived, her mother had faced an instant death. Her father loves to talk about her mother so Pamela has grown up hearing a lot about her. Later on, Pamela found out from her father that her mother was a Ravenclaw witch during her time at Hogwarts.
Pamela had a childhood best friend whose name was Arisha Hills. Before moving away when she was about 9, Arisha and her had been practically inseparable and Pamela learnt most of her people skills from her. Therefore, her leaving, quite obviously affected a younger Pamela tremendously. Since then, Pamela had never met her again. At preschool, she met a boy named Henry Mills and became quite close friends with him. As they grew up, they ended up going to different schools, but their friendship is still quite strong and the two of them are still in touch with each other.

When Pam was around 3, she had accidentally made one of my favourite soft toys fly across the room and out of the window while playing with it. She had barely remembered the incident, having been so young; only remembering a vague memory of a big yellow something moving without being touched. When she told her father about the confusing memory when she was about 7, her father had told her about the existence of magic, her mother being a witch and whatever he knew about the wizarding world.
