I'm a freshman and already looking at apartments. Also my parents just spent MY 300 dollars on god knows what. Like that's MY hard earned money and you just went and spent it.

In our culture it's different. Most adults live with their parents before they marry, unless if they work in a different town or city. Saving rent money.
