Cassandra Vera Hartwin was born in the small town of Brecon, Wales to Leandra and Edmund Hartwin. She was the youngest of three with her two older twin sisters, Irene and Iris. Her mother was a witch and her father a muggle. She was raised in a mostly non-magic household though, as her mother tended not do use it much, especially since neither of her sisters had ever shown any signs of having magic. Her mother would occasionally talk about her school days and would receive the Daily Prophet but never particularly said too much as after Cassandra’s sisters showed no signs, her mother had figured neither would Cass so why tell her things she would never experience. Other than that though, she had a fairly simple childhood.
She was relatively close to her parents even though her father was often away on business he always tried to make time for Cassandra and her two sisters when he could. Most of her time was spent with her mother who ran a small flower shop in town where Cassandra would often spend most of her time drawing/sketching the people who came in and out or doing any homework she had. When she wasn’t there she would often be with her two older sisters whom, despite being six years older, very much adored their little sister and insisted on her bringing her everywhere. Cassandra didn’t particularly mind as she very much cared for her sisters., even if they were a bit more social than she cared to be. Other than that, she went to school and mostly kept to herself which is possibly why she consider her sisters as her only friends.
She wasn't particularly close to her grandparents on her mother's side as her mother was a pureblood and her parents hadn't exactly approved of their daughter running off to marry a muggle. Things didn't exactly improve either when neither of Cassandra's sisters showed any signs of having magic. As for her father's side, her grandmother was her father's only living parent and since she lived in Germany it was slightly harder for the family to visit her, in fact Cassandra had only really seen her two or three times in her life, though she would on occasion writes letters to her grandmother when she had the time which made her closer despite not being able to see her.
When Cassandra’s letter arrived, it was a very exciting day in the Hartwin household. It’s highly possible her mother was actually more excited than she was when the owl arrived with the letter. Her father insisted they threw some sort of celebration party, not entirely sure what one was to do in this situation, to which his wife agreed wholeheartedly. It, overall, was a very happy time for the Hartwin family.

Cassandra first showed signs of magic slightly later at the the age of eight. Her mother had left the house for a small while to run some errands and had left Cassandra's two older sisters to watch her. While everything had started out find, the older girls had decided to play a game of hide-n-seek with their younger sister which didn't quite go as planned. Somewhere the two older girls had forgotten to tell young Cassandra that they were playing this game so they went to hide expecting their young sister to find them while not thinking that they hadn't exactly explained that they were playing to her. So after sometime had passed and Cassandra had not heard or seen her sisters she went to investigate. Of course, she couldn't find them and, as any young child would be, became increasingly more worried and scared that her sisters had disappeared. In this frantic and scared state, something must have triggered because very suddenly, and much to the surprise of her sisters and her mother who had just been walking towards the front door at the time, all the doors in the house flew open which unfortunately didn't help the state of the young girl.
After quite a bit of apologizing from her sisters and some calming down from her mother, the scary situation turned to one of joy as Mrs. Hartwin put together the pieces of what happened in her head and very quickly became overjoyed that possibly one o f her children had shown signs of magic.

The Westbridge family is an old, wealthy pureblood family residing in the outskirts of London. Despite being a fairly traditional old pureblooded family, they are generally indifferent towards muggles, and blood statuses that may traditionally be considered as lesser. Instead of holding any prejudice, most members of the Westbridge family simply hold a curiosity about muggleborns, and consider the traditional views to be outdated. Although, they are more than happy to associate, and mix with families who still hold these views. This change in value can likely be attributed to the families proximity with London, effectively guaranteeing there would be some interactions with muggles. Prior to his birth, both of Edwins birth, both of his parents had worked as Aurors, but his mother retired as he was born, intent on becoming a stay at home mum.
Edwin is the youngest of four sons, and is the youngest by many years. His eldest two siblings already being at Hogwarts by the time of Edwins birth, and the third finishing his time at Hogwarts by the time Edwin was 10. His parents were older by the time Edwin was born, leading them to spoil their youngest much more than any of his siblings. This spoiling lead to his lazy attitude, especially compared to his siblings who had all done incredibly well at Hogwarts, and gone onto working respectable jobs within the ministry. Edwin, however, could simply do no wrong in the eyes of his parents. If he fell asleep with his tutor, it was the tutors fault, not Edwins, and the tutor would likely be dismissed. Edwin went through an impressive amount of tutors during his childhood, before eventually his mother took over, serving as Edwins tutor for the rest of his childhood. This difference in parenting methods, as well as the sizeable age differences, lead to Edwin having a strained relationship with his siblings.

Edwin was perhaps around 5 years old when he first demonstrated magic. He had a favourite toy, which was a fake snitch, and his second eldest brother placed this toy far out of his reach, on top of a high shelf. His brother watched and laughed as Edwin jumped about, desperately reaching for it, until suddenly the shelf snapped in half, the toy dropping down onto the floor, just in front of Edwin. Much to Edwins joy, his brother was also lectured, and told off, as they assumed he had caused the damage to the shelf.

Character Backstory:
ReducioEldritch was born and raised in Pendle, Lancashire. A location infamous for the witch trials that occurred in 1612. He was raised by the women in his family and took their name from birth as his father was rejected and then disappeared without a trace after El's grandmother refused to accept that her pure-blooded daughter married a muggle. Making Eldritch the worst of both worlds. A half-blood and a bastard.
Born into a matriarchal household, Eldritch was humbled very quickly. He had very little to say, to begin with, but with his stubborn and cutthroat grandmother, he might as well have been born a mute. The boy knew very little of stability, as his family was more than just an old crone and a witch. Old Scylla Wicked, his grandmother, was the leader of a group of people who were considered outcasts by the Wizarding community or as she liked to call them: Freaks. They went by as the Community of the Odd & Weird. They travelled around the globe, mostly in western Europe, in caravans. Each member had something unique to offer and much like any other business, attracted the eyes of those who sought to be amazed for an hour or two. Half-giants, ghosts, conjoined twins, a demiguise, Priscilla his favourite aunt and auntie Elizabeth who had the personality of a flobberworm. His mother, Alizon, was gifted in fortune-telling. But everyone who wished to take a peek into their future wanted to be read by big old nan. And read them she did, sometimes scam them too. She could invoke spirits, read palms, see the future. The female Wickeds were seers, it ran in the family. It was their trade. And as much as Eldritch tried to hate it, he couldn't.
As a toddler, he lived in a cosy little caravan draped in purple and red velvet, the walls a soft green. Tapestries of trees, apples and snakes. Hands and eyes, stars sun and moon, zodiacs, planets. Carpets atop carpets. The purring of cats was a reoccurring sound. It wasn't much, but it was home. However, the second he learned how to walk, a lot of moving started to take place. Granted, the caravan came all along the way, but there was a lot of travelling and a lot of people came and haven't left ever since.
There was very little Eldritch could do to contribute to his family's day-to-day errands. So more often than not, he was bored and boredom led him to become an absolute menace. Things would go missing, explosions would take place, shoes tied together - you name it. Eldritch was proud to know that none of his family could ever see any of his plans coming.
First Instance of Magic:
Reducio"Any time soon now" he remembered his grandma saying every single day, every single hour. Pressure, so much pressure. But at last, it had finally happened.
It was a gloomy day. The skies were grey and the only thing lighting them up were the blue thundering storms that rattled the glass windows of the caravan. A fire crackled by the round table seven-year-old Eldritch was forced to sit at. His thin legs batted against one another nervously and his nails dug into his hands as he stared at the table. Three cards laid down in front of him: The Magician, the Seven of Swords and the Tower. He liked the pictures, but for the life of him he couldn't remember what they meant or how to even interpret them. Every time his grandmother had something to say he yawned and she'd point it out every time.
"You're not listening!"
"You're choosing your own destiny!"
"You never learn..."
All Eldritch wanted to do was go outside and play in the rain. Jump in the puddles of muddy water and play with his aunt Priscilla. Anything, anything but sit at the yellow table. He began to dread yellow. It was that day that he swore he'd never wear yellow again!
A sudden bolt descended from the skies, sending everyone into a frenzy. It shocked the entire crew. Eldritch loved the rain, but the thunder scared him. He could feel his face getting redder by the second whilst his grandma rambled on about he's not good enough, how if he tried he'd be adequate. On and on she went until she made a snarky remark, one that Eldritch despised. Despite being so young, he was more than aware that being a Half-blood was like being the worst criminal to ever exist for his beloved grandmother.
She took out her wand and with a swift flick, her deck of cards shuffled again.
"I knew the day your mother confessed you were in her womb that you'd be a no-good-nobody. A stain on our family name. Wicked indeed. Foul. I should have seen you coming-"
Eldritch stood up, slamming the wooden chair against the wall behind him as he sent it flying with a breeze. His eyebrows narrowed angrily, his hands turned into a fist, his toes gripping at the bottom of his shoes. His eyes were burning and the tears running down on his cheeks felt like they were boiling. The cards lying in front of him scorched, setting themselves on fire, quickly turning into dust and ash. The remaining cards that were still being shuffled in the air discarded almost like they had a mind of their own - a disoriented one. Some ripped themselves apart, others burnt and the rest flew away.
There was a hum of awkward silence, followed by footsteps and heels clicking on wooden tiling.
"So it happened then?"
"I knew it'd happen today of all days."
"You could have been gentler with him."
"Took your time."

Avery was born to her parents on September 1, 2012. She was born in Swansea, Wales, but her family moved to London, England, when she was 3. She is an only child since her parents decided that they only wanted her so they could teach her all they could before she would attend Hogwarts.
Avery has grown up around magic. Her father is a famous auror in the wizarding world. Her best friend is a muggle that she has grown up with all her life. They met on a playground when they were about 3 years old, and they have been friends every since. Instead of hanging out with other wizard families, she spent most of her time at her friend's house. So she is well educated in the wizarding and muggle worlds.
Her mother is from a famous family that is very mysterious. Even though her mother loves Avery, she isn't always there for Avery. She works for the Department of Mysteries, so she is always busy. Avery has spent most of her time with her dad. Her and her dad are very close and loved going camping together while her mother was away at work.
She not only camps with her family, but she also loves to take short day trips fishing with her dad. They love to have a competition to see who can get the most fish in an hour. Usually her dad won, but she still had fun with him.

Alice Wight is a very beautiful girl. She has a long, curly and black hair, white skin and big and enchanting eyes. Their colour are between blue, green, and grey. She looks older than her age, physically and psychologically, because she is tall and very mature.
Furthermore, she is very introverted, caring, and intelligent. Alice doesn't often participate in conversations, but she would if that can help anyone, the topic really interests her or wants to be the friend of the person implicated. She likes to learn, specially muggle science, reading and drawing. In school, she used to be the first of her class, and her classmates used to call her nerd or know-it-all. Of course, she didn't like that.
Before Hogwarts, she used to live with her parents and sister and study in a small city.
She has two sisters, an older one, Jane, and a younger one, Mary, but she didn't see her old sister a lot because she lived in her husband's village with her son. Her young sister was 5 years old and she loves her so much. She used to take care of Mary and playing with her.
The best moments with her sisters were the JAM club, formed and created by them. They named it JAM because the initials of their names, J, A and M, constituted this world. They used to play board games, draw and making theatre plays together.
In school, Alice hadn't many friends, but she enjoyed the time that she spent with them. She had great grades in all subjects, but her favourite one was definitely Science, so she always had a strong desire to pursue a career in biomedicine.
In home, she was always reading, playing with Mary or drawing. Her favourite genre are mystery and fantasy, but she likes all of them. When she knew that she is a witch, and she will study in Hogwarts, she was happy and sad at the same time. She liked the ides of going here, but she didn't like to separate from her family and friends.
She had always dreamed about being capable of doing magic, see creatures of her fantasy books and make potions, and that can be true. So she decided to go there and promised her family to send them owls. The problem was her friends, because they were muggles. She had to lie to them saying that she will go to a very prestigious boarding school, so she only was able to see them during holidays.

Katerina is a muggleborn witch who looks upon the world with a never ending sense of awe and wonder. She can be timid at times, and tends to rely heavily on the one or two friends that she trusts the most, especially in social situations. Despite this, however, she is also a warm and caring person, and tries to be helpful in whatever ways she can. Unfortunately, because of her naivety, she can be an easy target for those with impure intentions.
Kat loves animals and plants, and can often be found out in nature, lost in her own thoughts. She has a habit of running her fingers across the surfaces around her, whether it be the velvety softness of a plants petals or the bite of a rough stone wall. It grounds her in a world that often seems so mystical.
Katerina Wren Lavelle is an only child to two muggle parents who have always doted on her. She had a very fulfilling childhood, full of museum visits and walks through the Hyde Park Rose Gardens. She went to an all-girls primary school where, though perhaps of only average intelligence, her teachers had only positive things to say about her gentle demeanor. She occasionally had problems with bullies, and thus spent most of her time with her best friend, Charlotte. Charlotte was a part of a well-to-do family that had a particular interest in keeping the peace for her daughter. Outside of school, she and Charlotte would spend time too with Charlotte's twin brother Everett.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Katerina's first instance of magic occurred one day when she was walking the short distance home from primary school at the age of six. She was following her usual path along a small, private stream, tucked away from the main path, when she noticed a small amount of litter floating alongside her. Kneeling by the edge of the stream, she stretched her little hand out as far as she could, trying to retrieve the trash, to no avail. Sighing, Katerina gave up on her mission and continued on her way, still worried that some innocent animal would be hurt because of someone's carelessness. But, as she turned to walk away, she saw the trash rise up out of the water, only an inch or so, and on to the bank of the stream. Pleased that she didn't have to abandon her quest after all, Katerina picked up the litter and deposited it in the nearest waste bin, content that no animals would be harmed because of it.

Gekko's story starts with her parents, who are, in her opinion, disgustingly in love. Her mother, Narumi Takahashi, is a muggleborn Japanese immigrant in Swansea, Wales. She'd moved there permanently after retiring as a magazine model in Tokyo, Japan. She'd been to Swansea multiple times in the past and had deemed the city as a quiet place to enjoy herself for the next few years before opening her own fashion clothing stores. But, little did she know, that she was beginning a new life chapter in her life when she met Cadell Phillips, a pure blood wizard. Their love story was full of trials and tribulations, but eventually they came out on top and soon after Gekko Phillips was introduced to the world.
Some could say Gekko was raised with a silver spoon in her mouth, but she didn't mind it. Her parents loved her almost as much as they loved each other, spoiling her in every which way they could. They called her the manifestation of their love, despite the fact that her father couldn't even pronounce her name correctly, leading to him and many other people calling her 'Gecko', something she had to grow accustomed to. Of course, her mother found it cute and chimed in on it herself from time to time, despite knowing how to say her name correctly. This was a double edged sword for Gekko, as she coincidentally was afraid of geckos due to one trying to crawl up her nose when she was younger.
Due to her father's family, and her mother not particularly knowing much about their world, Gekko was homeschooled for all of her life. The only people she really knew were her parents, her grandparents, and tutors. It made her lonely sometimes but she overcame this by studying joke books in spare time, hoping that when she eventually ventures forth she wouldn't be left stumbling in the dark. This was all done in the little spare time she had, for Cadell had high expectations of his daughter. He was very serious about her schooling making her tutors teach the young girl everything her little brain could hold onto in terms of her general education. Which wasn't much due to her age, but damn did she try. Gekko didn't particularly care about being the best at anything or superior but she understand her father's thirst to prove something to someone, so she tried her best to retain any information she could, which is why she didn't complain when he sent her away to Hogwarts.

This happened during a particularly hot summer, where temps were much higher in Swansea than usual. It left the poor girl irritated , much to the amusement of her parents and chagrin of her tutor. The older woman was trying to teach a 9 year old Gekko about mathematics, as instructed by her father, but all the girl could think about was how hot it was. It led to her getting chastised multiple times, much to her growing annoyance and frustration. This continued for hours until the boiling pot of Gekko's anger tipped over at being scolded repeatedly.
"Shut up!" It was uncharacteristic for the young Phillips girl to raise her voice, let alone yell, but that wasn't the most astonishing thing. In her anger she'd finally been able to do what her father had been pressuring from the girl, but it wasn't the way she wanted at all. Gekko just wanted the woman to stop talking for a moment and let her rest, thus she'd unconsciously made the books on a nearby bookshelf fly out and made one of them hit the tutor on the face. It made Gekko feel awful and horrified, as proven by how she immediately began apologizing and got down her knees to beg for forgiveness, because anger was not something she was familiar with. The whole incident was largely brushed off, mostly with an increased pay for the tutor and a celebration over Gekko finally showing an instance of magic.

Character Statistics: Stamina: 6, Evasion: 5, Strength: 4, Wisdom: 7, ArcPower: 2, Accuracy: 6
Character Special Race/Talent: Seer, application below.
Character Backstory: Born on a moonless winter night, Anais' first cry was not met with warm embraces, but rather a silence that spoke volumes. With eight centuries of Prideaux men, all whom had produced sons to carry their name, her mother had failed in this most essential duty. The magic that hummed through their child's veins went without question, this at least they could be sure of, yet even that felt like a cruel joke— such power wasted on a girl.
Her upbringing consisted of bitter resolve, where house elves moved like ghosts amongst every clink of silver. Anais had learned to sit straight backed in her chair, to never reach, to wait for each course with practiced patience. Her mother's voice, when it came, was never anything less than sharp. "A Prideaux does not fidget, Anais." "A Prideaux does not show weakness, Anais." "A Prideaux does not.."
So what did a Prideaux do, then? They excelled, always. They conquered, unfailingly. They wore their superiority like a second skin, carried their legacy like a crown of thorns. By age seven, Anais could recite her family tree back six generations, could perform every proper courtesy in her sleep. By eight, she'd learned that tears were best saved for the privacy of her pillowcase, that genuine laughter should be muffled behind a gloved hand. While her father might've wished for a son, he had come to raise something perhaps far more valuable. A perfect pureblood daughter, one who would prove she could carry a legacy just as well as any.
After all, a Prideaux did not accept limitations; even those set by their own family's prejudice.
She, despite everything, was nothing if not a true carrier of the name.
First Instance of Magic: Her magic manifested early at just six years old, turning her governess' tea to ice when the woman dared criticize her posture. While praise may have been out of question, that evening her father's hand rested briefly on her shoulder, the closest thing to pride she'd ever felt from him.
Treating me like I'm some bet to lose.

It began with an itch; one too foreign to name. A feeling that would prick on the back of the girl's neck until she acknowledged the fleeting worry, insisting something was just.. off. She'd learned young to mask her reactions when life confirmed the uncertainty, when she caught herself dodging corners not yet turned.
Anais' first true intuition came on her ninth birthday, the morning light barely touching their silverware before something called to reach for her father's teacup. How she'd known, that she couldn't say. Only that she'd felt it with every heightened sense, that the cup was poorly balanced; how her father's elbow would catch it should she not act quickly enough. While confused stares swallowed the moment, such attention was the least of her concern. Instead, it was how. Better yet, why.
Sleep would soon become a treacherous thing, dreams blending with visions until she could scarcely tell the difference. Waking wrapped up in tangled sheets, all while fragments slipped away like water through cupped hands. Several moments only followed, small things she insisted could not be pure coincidence. Ones like knowing when to grab an umbrella despite ever clear skies, or setting an extra place at breakfast minutes before an unexpected guest made their arrival. Each came like scattered puzzle pieces, all too minuscule to make sense of alone.
It was her father who named it first. A gift that had skipped three generations of men to manifest within her, an unwanted daughter. Such was fate's cruel humor, they supposed.. He'd spoken of her great grandmother, of a power that slumbered in blood until it found worthy vessels. She'd learned of others before her, like her, scattered through their family's history like stars in a constellation. There was Adelaide, who had foreseen the great wizarding war and safely moved their fortune months before its first spell was cast. Before that, Celestine; who had walked out of her own wedding ceremony minutes before the chapel's roof collapsed.
These stories gave her context, but not comfort. Each seer had lived lonely lives, their gifts setting them apart from those around them. Even those who had come to love could never quite meet their eyes, always wondering for what futures lurked beyond. She'd quickly began to understand why her great grandmother had eventually retreated to a tower room, speaking only to those who sought her counsel on matters of grave importance.
It was her mother who spoke little of it at all. Such silence didn't stop Anais from reading the emotion behind every pressed lip, tasting the bitterness between every interaction. Whether the woman accepted it or not, such a gift marked her as something rare, something valuable despite all of the ways she'd failed to be what they wanted. It coursed through her veins, turning the shame of her birth into something approaching pride. It was the way fate had chosen her for this power, had deemed her worthy, where generations of sons had been sorely passed over.

Character Backstory:
Steven was born in the evening of October 10th in Appleby England. His upbringing was nearly identical to your ordinary muggle child. His mother was a science teacher at the local grade school where Steven attended, and his father worked as a freelance journalist. The boy grew a fond over competitive sports and found himself playing basketball as soon as he was old enough to sign up. Video games, sporting events, and a best friend by the name of Thomas who lived three houses up; that was Steven's life. All very ordinary from the outside looking in.
That didn't paint the whole picture however, in fact it was maybe an outline. You see his mother was very much so a muggle, but his father however, a squib. Magic wasn't a very big part of Steven's life, but that wasn't to say it was absent. Despite being unable to perform magic for himself, his father was still very close to his magical side of the family. The holidays with his father side (although his mother's side was pleasant too) were always his favorite. His eldest cousins would tell him about wizarding school, he learned about a new sport called quidditch, the games and toys were always better, except one Christmas his cousins got to experience a PlayStation and despite everything they've seen they were blown away.
Due to his parents circumstances they never imagined Steven would show hints of magic, and because of this he raised as and expected to be a muggle. Everybody's face dropped on Holiday with his mother's parents when the gifts they gave him instantly unwrapped themselves after being told he would have to wait. The summers and any holiday breaks were now spent mainly with his father's side of the family as it appeared Steven and his parents had a lot changing in their lives.
First Instance of Magic:
Although it wasn't the first big instance the signs presented themselves bit by bit at first. Steven wasn't always well prepared when it came to his studies. He always seemingly forgot to study, or not have any writing utensils. During a a history test in first grade Steven started to worry because he forgot his pencil. He had searched his bookbag and checked his pockets a million times. Too nervous to interrupt the silent classroom he silently panicked. Before he knew it every pencil in the classroom started to suddenly vanish, and conveniently found themselves in his bookbag.
