The profile no longer displays the time of the last visit. Its inaccuracy was worth a lot of owls to me, and I finally managed to improve it significantly a year ago. Nevertheless, it was very resource consuming for the server, so I had to disable it two weeks ago. Since then, not two days have passed without me receiving an owl on the subject.

As this feature has been bothering me for a long time for privacy reasons (you should be able to visit the site without it being monitored!), it is now deleted. I replaced it with the date of the last message posted in a forum, which is a good indicator to get an idea of his recent activity!

Small fix: background images are now displayed in classrooms.

Announce: the Marauder's map will be temporarily unavailable. I'm going to reprogram a large part of it, because the way it's designed today slows down the site quite a bit.

The website backend has been widely updated, requiring many adaptations of the other codes on the site.

The server maintenance, initially scheduled for this Saturday, could finally be carried out this afternoon. So there will be no break on Saturday!

To my knowledge, everything went well! The objective was to update the server to a more recent version, which required full backup, formatting, and quite a bit of reconfiguration.

Those with good connections will notice that the site is even faster, and overall very responsive in most cases (especially when you browse forums and posts). Some parts remain slower (bulletins, corrections, aviary...), and will require more work for me!

Apart from the Marauder's map yesterday, I don't list the small changes:

• various rewrites to speed up pages, avatars and images in subjects;
• fixed a bug if all icons in unread messages were unselected;
• various repairs (editing of welcome owls, administration of gallions);
• a profound overhaul of the system of statistics and multi accounts detection;
• a faster display of the correction part for teachers;
• a faster display of accounts validation pages for administrators;
• I put back the "back" links from the sub-forums of the site;
• addition of a button to close the trunk, or the page that gives access to the place.

This is a small general message to apologize for my reduced productivity on the site. Both personal and professional reasons leave me very little free time, and during this one, I rarely have the energy or motivation to program. It's hard to keep up the pace I've had for the site for four years!

Many of you have written to me for small bugs or questions; sorry I couldn't deal with all your messages, which are numerous. Nevertheless, I'm still here and continue to maintain the server and fix serious bugs.

I take this opportunity to inform you about a little surprise that I'm preparing and that will arrive at the beginning of May.

I played a little with the server, and implemented mechanisms to avoid slowdowns. I'm hopeful that the site will now remain as fast as it is, although the number of people is increasing noticeably!

A small message to inform you of many small evolutions and modifications to make the site faster and the server more reliable. Everything is discreet and changes almost nothing for you:

• a complete overhaul of the way the site is generated, more reliable and easier to edit for me;
• a better archiving of errors on the server so that I can regularly monitor what's going on, and correct it if necessary;
• changes in the server configuration that should improve security.

In addition, several small bugs induced by these changes have been solved:

• the display of the hourglasses, or a few pages;
• the "My RP" or "My messages" pages which were no longer completely updated.

Finally, the only visible change is that the Remembrall no longer displays the images in the top right corner, this allows to lighten the volume of the pages significantly. They remain present if you click on "view all". On the other hand, the text has been enlarged to make it more readable.
