Action: NOT being Tina. Like this isn't her I swear
I quickly brought my hands back to my side and walked back over to where Angel and now Felix, Tes, and Jada stood. I actually listened to Tes. It blew my own mind. If Dido didn't want help I wouldn't give her help. I decided that. No one wanted me to help I was just better off silent and in the background. I gave Dido a cold look and left her to fend for herself. I finished off by sitting on the other side. I sat crossed legged and looked down at the grass. I aggressively exhaled through my mouth. It was almost like an i'm so done with you guys type of sigh. I looked over to Tes. Yes I was too nice. Tes was actually the most sane person here. The person who actually knows what life is about. The worst thing that happens is that Dido's pride is gone. Shes not going to die. I gave Tes a little smile. A rare smile. "Come one Dido. Tes is right. The worst that can happen is that you lose your dignity." I said out loud. Then I looked right back down at the grass and muttered, "Not that we're sure that its still there." I was being snappy today. It feels really wrong. Like I feel really bad inside. But I had to make sure no one thinks that I was imperfect. I had to keep that mask up.

OOC note:Reducio1) At this point in the school year, Dido is not thinking at all clearly about people (especially Ravenclaws) and while everything said is true in her own belief, she is often very wrong/skewed.
Dido couldn’t speak. She couldn’t even speak.
Tes, seemingly in character, had responded to her suggestion with all the enthusiasm Dido had expected from her. That was okay. It was normal.
Then, when no one seemed particularly inclined to cross with her, she took a breath and began to walk forwards. Dido had paused in the path, timing her crossing with the swinging axes and taking deep breaths, mostly to regulate her embarrassment from earlier in the maze. And just then, as she stilled herself and watched the obstacles swing back and forth, Tina rushed half-way back, offering help.
Of course she was. Of course. It stung Dido, this act. She wasn’t sure why. The Ravenclaw was being perfectly kind. But maybe that was the issue.
Either way, Tina stood on the other side of the axe, issuing quick instructions which Dido missed entirely as her cheeks began to colour and she hesitantly rattled out that, “No- Tina.. I’m fine-i-I don’t need help. I-I was just-”
“You've got to trust me ok?” interrupted Tina, offering her hand gently.
Feeling utterly embarrassed and somewhat irritated, Dido started to open her mouth to respond, started to prepare herself for the rush and started to reach out to Tina when-
“Or she could just run herself,” added Tes. Dido looked back at the girl gratefully, surprised and assuming that the Slytherin had understood the situation but, when she glanced back to Tina to give her a quick grin, she had started to head back to the other side, looking at Dido coldly.
As Dido frowned slightly, confused why Tina seemed annoyed when it should have been Dido who was, Tes rushed passed her and swiftly made her way across. Dido took one more breath and, as she prepared herself for the final time, Tina piped up, “Come one Dido. Tes is right. The worst that can happen is that you lose your dignity.”
She blinked in frustration. Could no one see that she was just being cautious? After all, falling off would cost them more time than taking it slowly and- What did they think? Did they think she was scared? Was that what they thought of her?
Brushing the thoughts to one side as best she could, Dido readied herself, started to run and-
“Not that we're sure that its still there.”
She froze just on the other side. Dido couldn’t speak. She couldn’t even speak. Her cheeks burned. Her eyes prickled. The world closed down to just the eyes staring at her. The eyes which had almost certainly heard Tina’s quiet but clear comment. They all saw Dido. This wasn’t fear, or embarrassment. It was pure and utter mortification. Which is a dangerous feeling.
All at once, she was back in the great hall, hundreds of eyes staring at her as the tears came, unstoppable and irrevocably spent.
Somehow, it was even worse in the maze. They were her peers, people who would hopefully become her friends. And they all thought she was pathetic. Thanks to Tina.
No, it wasn’t like the Sorting. Unlike then, Dido didn’t let the tears fall. Unlike then, she wasn’t comforted by the arms of a Hufflepuff. Unlike then, she bit her lip, turned away, and said nothing. Unlike then, she didn't let her emotions exit her body. But inside? She raged.

I took one look at Dido's face and regretted everything. "You didn't want my help did you?" I asked, my voice breaking. "You would have let me get knocked off? Well ok then. Maybe Tes is right." I continued. Then I just shut up. I had to keep the tears in. No one could see me crying. In a public setting for that matter. I stood up. Then I sat back down and gave myself a pep talk. Just get out of this dreaded place. You have to work together. As a team. I wanted to tell this to everyone else. The guilt was eating me alive. I wanted to burst out crying. Everyone here already knew I wasn't perfect. I couldn't add to that and make myself crazy. My thoughts from that day replayed. You're weak, imperfect, you try to help too much even when you ARE the problem. I needed to bounce back. I stood back up and did the unthinkable. I walked over to Tes and Jada's side. I wanted to scream. I wanted to scream this wasn't me. That this isn't my choice. But in reality it was my choice. I felt bad for Angel, I felt bad for Felix, I felt bad oh gosh even for Dido. But I didn't pity myself. I sharpened my gaze. "Lets continue on. If we have to suffer through all this we might as well win." I said in a tone that didn't sound like me the slightest. I then put on a smile. The one I used when I was trying to pretend everything was ok, and led the group onwards.

Anyways, he thought everyone was taking this maze way too seriously, acting like it was the end of all worlds if someone fell in the water. It was just a game, at the end of the day, and maybe they would all benefit from remembering that.
When Tina had suggested they continue on, Felix quickly agreed. “Yeah, let’s just get a move on. Great running everybody. Everyone’s good, now let’s go” he clapped his hands to punctuate the statement.
“And Tina… maybe we should all just calm down a little. Everything’s fine, eh?” well, maybe fine wasn’t exactly the right word for it, but no one was truly crying or injured, so that was a win, he supposed. Who was he to judge anyway?
"Lets continue on. If we have to suffer through all this we might as well win."
Honestly, children. Well, Jada and Tes were fine, but he couldn’t say the same for the Ravenclaw.
And Dad said teenagers had angst. Twelve year olds were a whole other beast, clearly. Yeah, he wasn’t even that much older than them (he was only fourteen after all), but he felt kinda old, because jeez, this was dramatic. Was he like this when he was that age? He hoped not.
Come to think of it, he couldn’t remember that much from when he was twelve. Only snippets really, random, unimportant facts. He also remembered embarrassing things he had done (so he could think about it instead of sleeping at night). Other than that, fairly blank.
He wouldn’t even know what he had first breakfast, if not for his absolute predictability when it came to food choices.
Should that concern him? Maybe it just meant he was ‘living in the moment’ or whatever that dumb saying was. Either way, it didn’t matter right now.

ROUND 3 MOD POST
(Group EIGHT)
Back and forth the axe swung over the grassy path across the pool. The axe glinted under the glow of sunshine, as if truly made of metal, and its weight made intimidating swishing noises in the air. Tensions seemed to be brewing between the challengers, with Dido's suggestion of this labyrinth being inspired by the muggle fictional world of Wonderland, stirring up worry and unease in the group (one reason or another). Yet, such a spat and frightening obstacle did nothing to deter our brave challengers of Group 8!
One by one, the challengers charged forward with all their might.
Angel Dayes, Felix Hawthorne, and Jada Blake skillfully weaved past the axe that threatened to knock them into the pool. Keen senses predicted the axe’s movements, and before they knew it, all of them successfully made it to the other side! Jada Blake, in particular, stood out for her sharp senses and excellent dodging!
However, bravery and teamwork alone were not what was enough. Perhaps the intimidating sight of the glinting axe sweeping across the path might have shaken some of them, but they were in for a rough run.
Dido Bleaklane, who was being assisted by Tina Carille, tried to dodge the rapid sweeps of the axe, but with one misstep, both girls found themselves sent flying by the axe’s soft yet heavy weight, crashing into them! Tes Cadell, too, became a victim of the ruckus and the axe that never stopped in its motion. A spin they went, before they plopped safely into the cooling, shimmering pool surrounding the obstacle. Next to the ladder out of the pool, players would find a stack of fluffy white towels prepared for them to dry off.

Action: Running.
I fell in. The sparkling sapphire water was quite pleasant. Dido and Tes also fell in. Of course I wasn’t surprised that Dido fell in. But I was REALLY surprised when Tes fell in. Well I quickly spotted a ladder and swam right to it. Thank god my mother made me do those awful swimming lessons when I was younger. I swam quickly to the ladder and climbed up. I mean what else was I to do? Observe it? At least I got to cool down and I thought about the positive things in life. At least I got to swim. Even if I wasn't at a summer pool party with a cute bathing suit on. I grabbed one of the fluffy white towels and dried off before I prepared to run across again. They were super soft and I got dry almost INSTANTLY. I was kinda pissed that my hair was ruined but I could redo it, besides my hair was already puffy. I threw my hair into a ponytail and put the hair accessories in my pocket. I smiled hoping that no one thought I was super crazy. I was somehow in a much better mood after falling into the water. I remembered what if was like to finally be able to do an airel, I also channeled some of the other feelings, annoyance, but we don’t talk about that. What if you cast Reducio and make the pillow really tiny! Oh that’s a great idea! I thought. I took out my wand and did the little wand movement, “Reducio!” I said, then I took even more precautions and did the same counting technique and ran super fast. Like when I used to surprise everyone by how fast I really was. You got this… I thought…

Unfortunately not everyone can have the speed or evasion some are born with. That would be true for half of the group that needed to dry off. We however have passed towards the other side nicely with ease. Angel walking back and forth trying to think of a plan. Closing her eyes and crossing her arms. What spell did she know that can benefit them. She had a lollipop with her luckily, because the spell she thought of was Avifors.
Well this is really unfortunate. The rest seemed winded and overall discouraged by what happened especially Tes. Anyone could be frustrated by their mistakes and problems at hand but now was not the time to be fretting. As she always said up till now, "No man left behind!" cheesy but it works.
"Hey everyone! Dry yourselves off alright? I just thought of something right now! Hopefully this can help you guys get across to the otherside. I would also hope you guys don't have Ornithophobia!" Angel said cooly and a bit of swiss in her voice and tone once again
The spell that can transform a object or another creature to a bird. This would help them a bunch as all three could travel. Putting the lollipop into the ground she crept closer and grabbed her wand. Shaking it a bit to get the feel, Angel's hands were getting cold.
"Avifors!" she said clearly towards the lollipop which she didn't really know if it worked.

Splash!
Dido tumbled into the pool, Tina slipping down right next to her only a fraction of a second later.
The water immediately cleared Dido’s head of her most recent embarrassment and, despite the fact that it had been warmed by the bright sunlight, it was still enough to shock Dido for a second.
Pushing her hair out of her eyes, Dido glanced at the rest of the group and saw, to her immense relief, it hadn’t just been Tina and Dido who had fallen, which would have been entirely Dido’s fault in the group’s eyes, but Tes Cadell herself as well!
The cold had not only cleared Dido’s scarlet cheeks but had also set her into a fit of giggles as she clambered out of the pool, offering a slightly shaky hand (from the laughing fit) to help Tes exit too. As they quickly dried themselves down with towels, Dido, who was actually quite happy to have fallen in as the baking evening heat was no longer an issue, glanced at Tina before sheepishly offering a casual apology for not acting faster. Though no one asked for your help, Dido thought before swiftly chastising herself internally. After all, it wasn’t entirely Tina’s fault.
So Dido stood before the path again, slightly damper than before but a whole lot more confident, took a deep breath and began a sprint across, only pausing for a moment to time her run and… TBD by rolls- Thank you!

Jada let out a breath she'd unconsciously been holding. That hadn't been so hard? In fact, it had even been fun. She turned back to see Dido and Tes splash into the pool where Tina was already climbing out from the other side. It seemed that they hadn't been so lucky.
"You got this guys!" she called out from across the pool. It wasn't particularly helpful but what more could she do?
She watched as Angel tried to transfigure a lollipop into a bird. The idea seemed kind of ridiculous to her but, hey, at least she was doing something to make it easier for them. She supposed she could try something similar.
Retrieving her wand from the safety of her pocket, she thought back to the spells they'd learned recently. She remembered the spell from Astronomy. The one that rooted people to the spot. Maybe it would work on those swinging axes as well?
She pointed her wand towards the top of the axes, where they would have been attached if they weren't magical. She said "Anathema Daphnis!", watching as ray of forest green light emerged from the tip of her wand. Hopefully it would work to immobilise the axes, at least long enough for the others to pass if Angel's spell failed.
