As the cloud cleared from their heads Galton felt the air lighten. The electrical charge gathering above them, teasing strands of hair with it's shocking potential now gone. It hadn't been the flashiest play (unlike the cloud itself), but it was safe.

Meenauh's cast had not been safe. In fact, it was probably the least safe spell in dueling. He was still surprised it was legal. But no matter his opinion on its brutality, it was effective. As he heard his partner's playful apology he couldn't help but be reminded of the opening bet. "I take it that is separate from the knockout wager?" Time was running out to end that bet.

The Gryffindor team’s spellwork surely couldn’t be so effective as to so throughly incapacitate the best of Slytherin’s best, even with Astrea’s willing aid. Even Bridget, who had by now become a well-acknowledged target after breaking free from her doubled binds, seemed somewhat thrown off by their former captain’s perpetual uselessness.

Bound to a Sisyphean support role, it was only due to Astrea’s stoic adherence to saving face in public that veiled her internal judgement. It could not simply be disappointment, and yet simultaneously any other emotion would have been too distinct in describing her somewhat misplaced, quietly eroding respect. And throughout it all, as if salt to the wound, the easily unrequited duel banter could prove but one thing: True Gryffindors, with all of their brawn and bluster, could do nothing completely seriously.
Action: Doing as strategised.

Dmitri raised his eyebrows at the events of the round as they unfolded, increasingly confused at the goal their opponents seemed to want to achieve.

It certainly was not to prove their prowess at the dueling arts nor was it to establish themselves at a level even close to what he was on—spellcasting choices left a little bit more to be desired.

A dull duel, however, that he could understand. Surely by now, a decently-skilled higher-level duelist would have been able to take any of the three vulnerable, disadvantaged opponents.

vs. Dmitri: [d20: 19]→ Lightning!
vs. Bridget [d20: 4] → No Lightning
vs. Astrea [d20: 20] → Lightning!
Meenauh's blasting curse seemed to have changed the tone of the duel. Maybe because they knew the duel was almost at an end, the Gryffindors began to go on the offensive. Suddenly spells were flying everywhere. Dmitri, struggling against his bonds, would feel his feet once again come out from under him from Meenauh's perfect trip jinx. But this time, though he was unable to fight off the cords (Alan sure had a knack for Fulgari - Bridget was still stuck as well) he was ready for the Gryffindor team's attempted follow-up.

Though Galton sent a body bind curse Dmitri's way, hoping to tie up the Slytherin team for good, Dmitri would somehow turn his falling into an amazing dodge, using his own momentum to get out of the way of Galton's spell. Galton's other spell, aimed at Astrea, would fly just to the left....the Gryffindors were working well together but their combo was not going to work this time...

Astrea, realizing her opening, would fire back - a blasting curse directly at Meenauh. Turnabout was fair play in this duel, and Meenauh would sadly feel a taste of her own medicine, a blasting curse that she would take the full force of!

And what of Alan? Alan's strategy the whole duel had been to try to keep Dmitri bound. If there was any consolation to Dmitri in this duel after what he'd gone through, hopefully it would be the sight of Alan's own wand backfiring against him, leaving the crafty Gryffindor tied up with his own cords. Maybe he wouldn't be quite so happy about how good he was at the spell after THAT one...

But if Dmitri did take any enjoyment in seeing his most pesky opponent tied up in his own spell, it was sadly going to not be very long-lasting. CRACK! CRACK! Two lightning strikes from the storm-clouds over-head, and both Dmitri AND Astrea would feel shooting pain down their bodies, as they were struck by the electricity. Ow....Jake cringed, looking away. That spell was the worst.....And the Slytherins chance to rally would be heavily hampered by the clouds over-head. So lightning really DID strike twice....

Their almost flawless process started to flaw. Her own spell went a bit useless as Galton's didn't hit none of the targets. But at least she hoped her jinx helped Dmitri to not get out of the bounds.

What she didn't like that the only hurting spell in the duel was the cruellest one. And she faced it with a huge flinch. The moment was so bad that she couldn't even talk back at that. The weapons we choose can be used against us.

And then the two strikes hit the snakes. Probably, not just Confringos could hurt.

Galton was not pleased with himself. He watched his spell wiz off in two directions far from their targets. His results had been lacking this duel. He found solace in the fact that the teams efforts were certainly not lacking. We just wouldn't acknowledge Alan's little slip up. A second of pity for himself before he heard symphony of thunder from across the piste. There was a reason he'd felt so much static when the clouds had been overhead - they'd been charging. And he'd been the one to move the clouds! Results!

He could now afford himself some praise. The duel was closing in on it's end and they were ahead. And no one had passed out. "Meenauh - you may be the only one buying after this. Unless Astrea wants to apologize to you for that?" It seemed like a fair way to pay someone back for a confringo.

Alan had apparently grown too cocky, typical. If he felt even a slight sense of victory too early and let his focus waver, he usually paid dearly. Now his arms locked together as wispy threads of glowing thread bound around them and started to constrict like a boa constrictor but from the fairy lands. Alan loved weird animals and mystical things, especially the things Muggles had come up with despite no knowledge of the actual magical world.

Well now he actually had to get rid of these binds though, he gave an exasperated sigh and glared at his arms. But the duel was to be over soon so perhaps he should allow some pain if that meant he could ensure not being hit? He glanced over at Galton and Meenauh, trying to see if perhaps they had some clearer picture on how to proceed and more importantly, end this duel.

This was feeling less like a duel and more like being a spectator with very unfortunate front seats. She couldn't get the binds off, in fact she swore they were tightening every time she pushed against them, which was starting to be painful. As frustrating as it was, she guessed she'd have to forgive Dmitri for being tied up basically the entire duel when even the strength she'd kept up from her time as a Beater wasn't enough right now.

There were a few things that, in slightly better circumstances, would have given her hope as they neared the last moments of the duel. Astrea landed her Confringo in the neat show of power she'd come to count on from her teammate, and Alan backfired, which was almost sweet after this duel of Fulgaris. Almost. She and Dmitri still weren't free to capitalize, and as icing on the cake, both of her teammates were struck by the clap of magical lightning.

Bridget might actually finish this duel looking bored, which would be a first. The fact she still had her wand in her hand, but she couldn't maneuver it enough to cast, was kind of killing her, and she knew Jake had to be close to calling this. There wasn't much more that she could do than stand here, so bored was better than frustrated.

Narrator: According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.

Cut to Barry's room, where he's picking out what to wear.

Barry: Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Yeah, let's shake it up a little.

Barry uses honey from a dispenser to style his hair, rinse his mouth, and then applies it to his armpits.

Mom (Janet Benson) (calling from downstairs:) Barry! Breakfast is ready!
Barry: Coming! (phone rings) Oh, hang on a second. (adjusts his antennas into a headset) Hello?
Adam Flayman (on the phone) Barry?
Barry: Adam?
Adam: Can you believe this is happening?
Barry: I can't believe it. I'll pick you up. (hangs up, sharpens his stinger) Lookin' sharp. (flies downstairs)
Mom: Barry, why don't you use the stairs? Your father paid good money for those.
Barry: Sorry. I'm excited.
Dad (Martin Benson): Here's the graduate. We're very proud of you, son. And a perfect report card, all B's.
Mom: Very proud. (touches Barry's hair)
