Summer Duelling Funtime Extravaganza, Match: 1
Utterly unbelievable. Not only did Hadashi's spell miss, but all of a sudden he felt himself be struck by lightning. This was going badly, and Hadashi was beginning to get a bit irritated. Why did Hogwarts insist on a three way duel? One team vs one team was so much simpler.
Hadashi scowled. This would simply not do at all.

Interacting Directly with: Nobody in particularShe couldn't help but feel like she was getting a bit ganged up on, getting hit by spell after spell. She knew she would definitely need to do some evasive practice after this. Even her normal trick of trying to stay on her toes to bounce backwards and forwards out of the way of spells wasn't working.

Weather seemed to become quite an important facet of duelling. The amount of atmospheric charms that could change the environment were plenty, and duellists loved to use them to their advantage. Especially when they could see through anything. Oddly there was a tennis match happening on the duelling pitch, though there were no tennis rackets or balls. Just- a cloud and some wands. Hadashi took the opportunity to return the cloud back to one of their opponents, now having the quiet thundering cloud rest above Gryffindor. They were luckily all safe this round. Perhaps his focus was too much on the cloud though as his other target, Meenauh, was left unscathed. Amaury harnessed the element of water, weather adjacent, dousing Meenauh getting a good amount of water in her eyes and also making it so where any fire spells would have little to no effect. Greta had her eyes on her team and ditched the elements, opting instead to try and keep them standing.
What a valiant effort it had been, especially for Amaury's case. He should've made like Delilah and attempted the shield charm, though no spells would come her way two would come his way. Alan went back to basics, relying on a good ol' knockback jinx to send Amaury into a world of hurt, and combined with Lamik's half successful hit (missing Greta entirely), Amaury would fall to the ground... and not get back up. Perhaps he should invest in some life alert. Vague Duelling Mod McGee paused the round until the boy could be safely dragged to the nurse tent before resuming the duel.
Before Amaury met his tragic, temporary, end Meenauh went on a proper offensive move, attempting to avoid a slippery Greta from slipping away from anymore spells. However, the young duellist wasn't making anymore precautions to dodge more than usual, so she was able to handle the slippery surface under her feet quite well. Aida attempted to hit Lamik not just once, but twice, her first wind jinx just barely being avoided and her second weather-modifying countercharm not really... doing anything. Such is the life of the Phoenix Feather Core. Doesn't guarantee spells will be helpful, just that they will be sometimes. Thomas took the same route as Greta, opting not to attack but to keep Delilah standing. She looked almost at full health, but still just a tad roughed up.

Mid-cast, Aida’s nose took over with a massive need to sneeze. Not only did the force jolt the wix’s aim to the side of their target, but it seemed like their chestnut wood wand made something of a sneeze as well, shooting off a weather-modifying countercharm by itself. Embarassed, Aida let out a huff, but couldn’t help but wonder what Valentin was doing right now. It used to be his wand, after all.
Doing as strategized.

───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───

───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───Their luck would go from bad to worse. Strikes of lightning were really only the beginning, opening rifts in their defenses into which their opponents would cleave. Greta knew she would go untargeted only for so long. She had hoped she would be able to act swiftly enough. That by reversing some of the damage, she would be able to keep her companion standing for a little bit longer. But it was little use. Light arced towards the pair of them. Ducking, the Norwegian was able to avoid the attack. Not so, her companion. One, and then a second. They crashed into him and sent him flying, his body crumpling to the ground.
"Please get up..." A pleading whisper drifted towards him, willing him to rise. Hoping against hope that her efforts hadn't been in vain and that theirs wouldn't be the first team to present themselves a significant disadvantage. But it was no use. The game would pause, his form would be removed, and Greta would be left casting her remaining team mate a nervous glance as she tried to—not so bravely—square off once again as the match was resumed.

A feeling that you might drown any second now and there was no easy way to grab more air — that was disorienting. It wasn't quite painful. It wasn't fire, so she was actually thankful for it. A few painful moments to live through in order to not get on fire — she could allow that trade-off. Once her eyes and mind focused back on the duel, one of the opponents being dragged away. She wiped the water from her eyes with her sleeve. And looked above. Dangerous cloud that struck three times — what were the odds they'd struck again.
A gamble.
That's what their duel was.

One person was down, Alan realized as he watched Amaury's body drop to the ground and winced in sympathy. That must have hurt a lot. Alan got distracted just for a mere moment, before he shook off the thoughts and tried to focus back on the matters at hand. The girl from abroad now seemed somewhat nervous, which might mean that she could mess up some of her spells, perhaps? Alan checked on his own team, they seemed fine so far.

They... Actually managed to drop one. Wow. Lamik, who has begun to worry once he realized how messy this duel was going to be, was now almost optimistic. Things were going ok. Not perfect, of course. They never went perfect. But ok. All that was left now was.... 5 more.

How. In God's name. Did this happen?
At odds that Hadashi new were next to impossible, not one, not even 2, but THREE lightning bolts struck his team. This was the most ludicrous duel he had ever been a part of. He was going to make a petition back at Mahoutkoro to never have a 3 way duel again.
Hadashi calmed his emotions. This was still winnable. It just took the proper strategy.

This round was brutal. Whatever breather the duellists had gotten last round, they all seemed to rage towards the Ravenclaw: Delilah. The Ravenclaws as a team didn't really uh... move or cast. Perhaps it was the overwhelming nature of a storm cloud sent back their way by Meenauh or the fear of fighting 4 people at once, Vague Duelling Mod McGee couldn't be sure.
Gryffindor at least went easy on them. Alan chose to heal his teammate enough just to keep her up. Lamik went with what seemed to be his favorite strategy of covering himself and an opponent in fog, though it wouldn't be that hindering to Delilah for that long. Greta sent a Wind Jinx towards Delilah and Aida, while Aida was able to dodge it gracefully, Delilah was hit with the bold gust. Followed soon after by the fire Hadashi that he unleashed towards the same duo. Aida once again was able to dodge but it didn't take long for Delilah to fall unconscious by the overwhelming pain she had been subjected to in a single round.
Vague Duelling Mod McGee stopped the duel for her to be taken off to the healing tent before motioning to restart. The fog over her spot happened to dissipate with the people moving in and out of it, leaving wisps of grey air behind.
