Hufflepuffs..fire…the irony of the combination was entirely lost on Callie. She was more focused on how on Earth she was going to cope with the new blinding light. For someone like Callie who already had poor eyesight to begin with something like this was a new form of hell. At least now she tended to wear contacts after the…getting sish kebabed incident but that didn’t make the ordeal any less annoying. Plus she was getting hungry..that was never a good sign.

There was something off putting about readying yourself for a spell that never comes. He'd been expecting Frost to throw something damaging at him while he was still weak from her body-bind curse, but it seemed that his presumption was misguided. Robert quickly tried to avert his eyes as soon as he saw her aim upwards, but he was too late. The last thing he saw before being submerged in a sea of bright whiteness was the Hufflepuff's sleeve catch fire, a fact that brought a small sense of satisfaction into his temporary blindness.

The next round happened and Robert was once more waiting for an attack that never headed towards him. Instead Frost would hit Callie with a nasty knockback jinx. The Ravenclaw responded with the very same blinding light charm that the badger had used the round before, returning the favor of not being able to see properly as long as the spell was in effect. Alan narrowed his eyes, noticing that the eagle girl was no longer in a good shape and looking rather hurt. Perhaps, against all odds, Frost could actually turn this around?

She sprung back into action, seizing the moment to toss a knockback jinx at Callie, though Robert seemed to thing she was again aiming for him. After landing her spell, Frost was suddenly staring at a great blast of blinding light. Even if she shut her eyes and squeezed tightly, it seemed the light persisted, attempting to pry Frost’s open. It seemed that Callie had been inspired to use it after Frost had. Though the spell didn’t physically hurt, her eyes were surely begging for mercy.

Blinding lights…knock back jinxes…sometimes Callie wondered why she loved duelling so much. Why put herself through all of this on a regular basis? Not even Callie knew. Just that the rush of winning was enough to satisfy her curiosity. Besides..surely this would all be over one way or another eventually. Her stomach was starting to lodge protests.

At this point, Robert knew the duel was coming to a close, so it was probably better to focus on staying alive rather than damaging the opponent. He was still slightly unsure how moderators were supposed to determine a winner with the new time limit, but he was pretty sure that as long as both he and Callie stayed as healthy as possible, it would be relatively difficult to make the argument that the Hufflepuffs were winning. As boring as it was, he once again opted to dodge an inexistent spell over casting a spell of his own. He silently reminded himself that often, the smart decision isn't the most exciting one.

RAVENCLAW IS VICTORIOUS!!!
Alan was not sure why, but Frost decided to heal herself at the very end of the duel. Perhaps this could have saved her a few rounds ago, but it would not help her now. It was too late for that and Alan grimaced slightly. Callie would nullify any healing that might have happened to the badger with a nasty knockback jinx, whereas Robert was still simply focusing on being evasive if necessary.
Checking how many actions have been done by now, Alan would step away from his moderator podium, with Tiger still in his arms. "The duel is over!" he called out to the three remaining duellists. "Judging based on how each team is holding up right now, Ravenclaw is definitely in the lead," he explained with an affirmative nod as he extended a hand into the direction of the eagles with a bright smile. "Congratulations!" Letting the pair revel in their victory for a few moments he would also give Frost a nod and let the two teams also say a few words, if they so desired. "Please make sure to pay a visit to the nurse or one of the students from the medic program, so that they can make sure of your health and well-being," he said lastly. He couldn't help but cheer inwardly, having hoped that the eagles might grasp the victory. Though he wouldn't have mind a coming back from Hufflepuff either.
