"Really? Hi, Drew." Jayden flashed a smile and tiny wave at her fellow Housemate. Not that she was aware that "Drew" was a nickname. Sifting through her recollection, she knew [Andrew] wasn't the latest addition to Ilvermorny, nor was he in her year, meaning he must be a second year. While they might've seen each other around school, the two hadn't formally met before. Same went for Gregorí, though being in different Houses, she would've noticed him less.
Conversation was interrupted when Gregorí dashed away rather suddenly, drawing a mix of confusion and surprise from Jayden as she stared after him. She wouldn't follow Gregorí unless she felt it was necessary, or if Kit and Drew left to check up on him - naturally Jayden would tag along with the masses.
@Ginevra Tsuchiya Feel free to have Jayden follow Gregorí to check up on him, if you want. Otherwise, Jayden will wait for Gregorí to return.
There seemed to be a queasy discomfort on Gregorí's face, however hard he might try to hide it, it was a look that still resonated with Jayden, having been through something along the same not too long ago. "Are you okay?" She would ask with concern. Either way, Gregorí wasn't looking up to snuff. Jayden's gut would prompt her to speak up, if anything guess at what might be bothering Gregorí:
"Seasick? Is it from the boat?" She didn't know for sure. Why would Gregorí be feeling nauseous just now? "I do have a tonic from home, if you'd like to try it. It's supposed to cure seasickness. Or motion sickness, in general." Maybe it would help with nausea? "I've never sailed before, so my parents gave it to me for precaution," she explained. "Two doses. One for the trip here, one for the trip back. If we're taking the boat back." The Headmaster didn't exactly say that they would be taking the same route back. If she knew Plott, he'd want to spice things up a bit, maybe travel by air this time.
If Gregorí accepted or expressed interest in it, Jayden would fish out a tiny vial from one of her bags. Clearly half of the liquid had been drunk already. Leaving none for herself, if her school was to take the boat back. "That's okay," she would assure Gregorí with a smile, shrugging off her uncertainty, still offering the vial for him to drink. "Maybe I'm used to it." Optimistically, there was a chance that maybe she wouldn't get seasick again.

"Oh, we can call dibs?"
Upon hearing a new voice speak up, Kit raised his head and glanced over to see a third student come over to join them as he lead the way toward the cabins. His easy smile drew into yet another broad grin at the radiance she emitted upon hearing the news.
"I'm coming, too!"
With a soft laugh, he acknowledged her questions and introduction of herself with a pleased nod. "Are you? Then I certainly hope you haven't pushed your body to the point of exhaustion like these guys here," Kit teased. "Which do you prefer I call you by more, then? 'Miss Holt', or 'Jay'?"
Here was a curious one for sure; and energetic too, it seemed. He had scarcely responded before she was already asking more questions. Kit liked that; people matching his interest of them with an interest of their own, but it didn't seem too common. Thus, he chose to answer honestly and to the best of his ability when she asked about him.
"Yeah, I'm an Ilvermorny alumnus. But I came to Hogwarts because I heard they've been having a particular kind of trouble lately. The sort I thought I might have had a few ideas on how to help with." He spread his arms. "Got a sibling attending here this year, too. But anyway, Hogwarts had a position open and I thought I'd take a crack at it and try to do a decent job, so here I am."
He seemed amused that the other two students seemed as excited about picking their beds as the one who joined for that reason. When the first boy to talk to him mentioned that 'Drew here is also a Wampus', Kit turned a sly smirk to the speaker instead.
"Well if 'Drew here' is also a Wampus, then he should definitely know better than to keep his poor body from a whole night of sleep," he indirectly chided. "But if these two are in the Wampus house, which might you be in?"
Before the boy could answer, however, he had excused himself and Kit stopped in his tracks. The caretaker glanced back to where the boy had run off to but did not walk after, guessing he sought at least a little solitude or privacy. Still, it was strange. Why so suddenly...? He didn't even seem able to give any more warning to his friend than the rest of them.
Kit reached up to rub the back of his neck, hints of concern edging his features as he gazed at the tree the boy had disappeared behind. "Kiddo...?" he called gingerly, still unaware of the boy's name. "Need some help, there...?"
He looked back a little helplessly at the boy's other two schoolmates, searching their faces for possible signs that they might have understood what was going on.

"Are you? Then I certainly hope you haven't pushed your body to the point of exhaustion like these guys here."
"No, sir," Jayden said with a shake of her head, swishing her chestnut brown ponytail. "I slept on the train. All ready and rested," she affirmed, looking as bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as she sounded. She hardly recalled any of the English countryside, after boarding the Hogwarts Express, napping for the majority of the ride. She knew she would need her energy to look and act her best for Ilvermorny's grand entrance, in order to make a good first impression with the other schools.
"Which do you prefer I call you by more, then? 'Miss Holt', or 'Jay'?"
"Jay, please," she responded more confidently to that one. Really, it didn't matter, but since Kit had no qualms with letting her call him by his first name, Jayden would gladly let him do the same with hers. Miss Holt sounded too formal for the occasion. "Though I'm fine with the other, too."
Her curiosity was roused again by Kit's mention of a sibling. "You have a sibling? What's his name - or, her name? How old are they? Do they have interesting eyes and tattoos like you?" Jayden didn't aim to sound too nosy or talkative, mainly throwing out playful chatter to break the ice and warm up to everyone.
"And, uh, what kind of trouble?" Headmaster Plott's warning came to mind. "Is it dangerous trouble? Like, Magical Creature trouble?" Concern flickered across her face as she hesitated slightly. "Or Muggle trouble?" She wasn't expecting Kit to divulge her interest in "adult-related matters", and wouldn't push her luck if Kit clamped shut about it, but no harm in asking, she supposed.

Gregorí closed his eyes and allowed his body to sit on the ground to rest a little bit for a while. It was not enough, he realized, but at least it would have to do until the dizziness passed. Influenza, he said inside his head. Or maybe stomach flu. The Horned Serpent put a hand on his forehead: it was burning. He had temperatures. Yup, definitely influenza or stomach flu.
If it was common influenza, Gregorí really would not have to worry. A good rest for two or three days should do; he believed that he did not even have to take any Pepper Up Potion.
But if it was stomach flu... Gregorí was doubtful about what to do. He had never personally known anyone having this illness, as common as it might be; therefore he was not sure what to do if now turned out that he had stomach flu. (Well, go to the healer at Hogwarts' hospital wing of course. But other than that?)
The Mexican boy could hear Mr Caretaker's voice, asking if he needed some help. "Oh no, no. Really. I'm fine!" he called out, his voice still hoarse from throwing up. OK, that was a lie, he was not fine at all. "Be back soon!"
Although, to be honest, there was no way to know if he really would approached them again soon. Gregorí's stomach turned, and the Ilvermony student heaved again, but not as much as before. It was his head that bothered most now, and he leaned it against the tree. It hurt, but still better than keeping it straight in the air.

OOC: At first I thought I'd wait for Drew's reaction so I didn't post soon enough! But I understand Rose is very busy recently... so I guess I should post Greg still hiding behind the tree first today! He'll come out as soon as Rose has time to post.
Hope this is OK for all three of you; if no, feel free to owl me!

So sorry for the wait! Thank you for being patient with me!
So they would have any pick of the beds that they wanted. Drew grinned. "Heck yeah."
Jayden (but just Jay) came over and seemed very interested in Kit, asking him questions about America and Hogwarts and just about everything.
"Hi, Jay. It's good to meet you."
"I know." Drew crossed his arms defensively. His tone was mostly serious, but with a shot of teasing. "Hey, it's not like I was trying to stay up all night. I was just excited," he said. "Usually I go right to sleep."
Greg then darted out of sight and behind a nearby tree. Kit called out to him, and Greg replied, telling them he was okay. Drew glanced from Jay to Kit before hurrying off to the tree, peeking around it. "Greg?" Greg really did not look by any means fine or okay, and with the throw up in the ground, Drew's worry doubled. His expression softened some more. In a voice gentler and softer than usual, he said, "Come on, bro, let's get you to a bed." He had taken careful pick of his words, as to not damage Greg's pride. "Do you wanna lean on me?" he offered, putting his arm out so that he could wrap it around his best friend's shoulders if the offer was accepted. Drew was strong enough to take the smaller boy's weight, but he was sure that Greg did not want to be carried. Greg looked kinda dizzy, which was why he had offered that.
He knew it was a little something more than just being tired now, and was glad he had tagged along with him. "Come on," he said gently, trying to lead Greg back to the group.
If he succeeded, he would tell Kit, "Kit, you're right. Loosing a night of sleep really does have a toll on you. Let's get to the beds." His goal? Get his best friend to a bed so he could rest. And he would do anything he had to to achieve that goal.
And, yes, he called the Caretaker "Kit." It was what he wanted to be called!

Apparently, Drew had decided to come and check on him. Gregorí saw his closest friend had noticed everything, and he understood there was no use of trying to hide things anymore. "Please don't tell them," was the only request the Mexican asked from the American, with "them" referring to (naturally) Kit Paine and Jayden Holt.
Drew offered if Gregorí wanted to lean on him, but the Latino boy refused this. He did, however, accept the Caucasian's hand to help him stand up. Drew was the one person that he would take any help from; he was too proud to take help from anyone except a really close friend like Drew - and even with the people closest to him, the Horned Serpent tried not to trouble them too much.
Gregorí swayed slightly and started to move towards Mr Paine and Jayden. As he did so, he staggered and almost fell, but he managed.
Jayden also clearly saw that something was not right. She thought it was motion sickness and offered the younger student the remedy, but Gregorí explained, "It's really not motion sickness, sea or car, But thank you anyway." So of course, he returned the tonic to the Wampus girl.
And then he turned to Mr Paine. The Hogwarts caretaker had asked Gregorí which house he was in, but the boy had not answered it. Thus now he told the young man, "Where were we? Oh right, you asked me about my house. I'm in Horned Serpent."

"Jay it is," the caretaker acknowledged when the girl stated her preference. Her question about his sibling caused his shoulders to shake in quiet laughter for a brief time, amused at just how enthusiastic the student seemed to be about him and his relation.
"I'm afraid I've gotten the impression from them that they don't wish to be associated with me, so I can't tell you their name. However, this is their first year at Hogwarts. And they don't have tattoos, but whether or not their eyes would be considered interesting is subjective, don't you think?"
He caught her gaze with a playful look. "Theirs aren't heterochromic like mine, if that's what you mean. Probably prefer it, too, since I don't think they're fond of standing out. Thus one reason they don't want to be associated with me, you see."
His smile thinned at the question of what kind of trouble was at Hogwarts and he stared ahead of him sightlessly while thinking of how to answer. He didn't want to cause a mass panic, but the students had a right to know what to be on the lookout for, didn't they?
"It's dangerous sort of trouble, yes. Potentially hag trouble, if you know what those are. But that's why the school has been enforcing more strict rules since last year. If you follow them, there should be little reason to worry."
At the protest from the boy called Drew that he hadn't been trying to stay up all night, the tall young man laughed and waved a hand. "Alright, alright; I'll believe you. So long as it hadn't been your intention."
Kit was quiet after the boy who ran off claimed he was fine. He stared at the tree but did not ask anything more of him than he already had. Eventually, his gaze travelled to the schoolmate who had been called Drew, for that Wampus student had soon hurried to check on his friend.
It wasn't long before both boys returned with Drew assisting the other as best he could by lending him support. Kit continued to watch and wait, crossing his arms over his chest as he shifted his weight from one leg to the other. He listened when the Wampus girl offered something of hers to help soothe motion sickness, only to be politely turned down and thanked by the boy who had first approached Professor Galim and himself. Was he still claiming everything was fine?
Clearly he needed help, though perhaps he was the sort that had to be persuaded to accept it when offered and thus would only allow himself to be aided by insistant friends like Drew. What else was interesting, though, was that he told the girl very matter-of-factly that it wasn't motion sickness which made Kit wonder if the boy did know what was making him sick. Maybe that was why he had claimed everything was fine; because if one knew what was wrong, they likely knew what would fix it and therefore didn't consider it a real problem.
Shaken out of his thoughts by the mention of being in the Horned Serpent house, Kit grinned once more.
"Ah...the house valuing the mind," he recognized, appraising the boy whose name he still wasn't certain about. He thought he'd heard the other kid call him 'Greg' or some such, but he couldn't have been sure. "Impressive. But considering what I'm guessing to be the ill state of your physical well-being..." He cocked his head at them, raising a brow. "...Are you sure I shouldn't be escourting you to the Hospital Wing after all...? If it's beds you're concerned about, or travel, I can even drop you three off at your cabin and have a nurse come to see to you out there."

Drew bit back a spark of frustration at Greg's stubbornness. Ah, why couldn't he just accept help when he truly needed it?! But Drew did understand, it was exactly what Drew would have done in the same situation. Funny how something you would do can be so frustrating. Greg asked Drew not to tell Kit and Jay about... well, Greg hiding behind a tree to throw up. "Of course," Drew whispered. Greg didn't accept his offer to lean on him, but he did let Drew pull him up from the ground. He stumbled on their way back to the group, and Drew tensed, ready to catch him, but he was able to regain his balance. Dang, Drew was worried now.
Anyway, Greg continued talking like nothing had happened, mentioning that he was in Horned Serpent. Kit recognized that and said something about that it was the house that favored the mind. "As it should- Gregorí is in there." He used Greg's full name for the simple reason that he wasn't sure that his name had ever been mentioned to Kit or Jay. Drew really liked how his name was spelled- Gregorí instead of the normal Gregory. Gregorí, when Greg said it, at least, carried a beautiful Spanish flourish, and that made his name all the more fitting.

"Aw." A flash of sympathy crossed Jayden's face, wondering what the cause for disassociation was between Kit and his sibling. She couldn't imagine the same happening to her and her little brother. "Well, that's too bad." She perked up in a heartbeat. "I think you're cool. And fascinating. I'd love to have a big brother like you." It came from a place of honesty, though brownie points were always a bonus in buttering up to the staff.
"I have a sibling, too. Just one. Little brother, he's five, and his birthday is two days after mine. His name is Forrest. I miss him, though…" With a sideways purse of her lips, she heaved a crestfallen sigh. "Too bad I'll already be graduated before he comes to Ilvermorny. Would've been nice to go to school together, share the experience." No sense wallowing in disappointment. Jayden shrugged it off. "Oh, well. So long as he's a Wampus, I suppose our experiences will still -sort of- be the same. Lucky him, I can tell him everything I know and what to expect. Perks of being firstborn. Always the lab rats." No fair that her experiences would pave the way for her little brother to follow, not having to figure things out like she did for the first time. Jayden didn't complain about it though.
She nodded her head with a pensive "mmm-hmm" at Kit's remark if she knew what a hag was. "Uh, what kind of rules, exactly?" She couldn't help but ask right away, but maybe those rules would be explained later? "How close by are those hags?" There was slight hesitation in Jayden's step as the group made their way to the Campgrounds, scanning the nearby copses of trees for any suspicious movement. Her heart pounded anxiously. What if hags were to attack the camp at night? How safe would her schoolmates be out here?
She felt bad for Gregorí - lips pursed with concern as she returned the tonic to her pouch - and would've offered him the same shoulder to lean on as Drew, but had a feeling her help wouldn't be very appreciated. Boys, she shook her head in wonder to herself. Boys had a hard time accepting help, not wanting to be seen as weak and all.
"...Are you sure I shouldn't be escourting you to the Hospital Wing after all...? If it's beds you're concerned about, or travel, I can even drop you three off at your cabin and have a nurse come to see to you out there."
"How close are we to the cabins?" She asked Kit. "If the cabins are closer, we might as well wait there, rest a bit and wait for the nurse to come by. Maybe you'll feel a little better, by then." She smiled hopefully at Gregorí. "Maybe some soup or tea?"

Gregorí had missed pretty much all of the conversation about Hogwarts, so he had no clearer idea about the school's situation, nor about Kit's younger sibling who had just started their first term there, than he had had when he first talked to the caretaker. However, he did not even know they were conversing about that and thus had no regret he could not join in. Besides, with his current condition, the Mexican found that he had almost zero energy to care, or think, about... well.. basically everything. He really did not like feeling that way.
Somehow, even though Drew kept his promise not to tell neither Jay nor Kit that Gregorí had been throwing up, the two somehow sensed something was amiss with him. First Jayden had tried to offer him remedy for motion sickness, and next Mr Paine offered to take him to the Hospital Wing or to have the school nurse checked on him at the boy's cabin. Gregorí realized that pretending he was fine was useless by now, but still, he could try to show that he felt better than he truly did, could he not?
Before he could give a response to the Hogwarts caretaker's question, Jayden had voiced up her opinion. The third-year suggested that the kids wait in the cabins (or was it just the boy's cabin? Gregorí did hope she would not enter! The girls had their own cabin!) while Kit fetched for the nurse. "Thank you," he said hoarsely, agreeing with her suggestion. He made sure that the caretaker knew that he agreed with the more senior student, too. The Wampus also offered Gregorí some soup or tea, to which he replied, "Only if it's not too much trouble, please."
Drew also made him smile. That closest friend of his tried to pronounce his first name the Spanish way, which actually always amused the Latino because the Caucasian boy actually had never learnt Spanish before. It was actually, after all, pronounced "greh-gho-RI" instead of the English's "GREHG-ə-ree".
