I wanted to register for the Non-verbal spells ability, but I can't do any spells, so, should I wait till my charms and DDA homeworks are graded?

The ability Nonverbal magic is not available until your 5th year or if you get the ability wandless magic somehow, so you are currently unable to apply for that ability.

Is it possible for an iNPC to get the Animagus ability? Also, is there a list of claimable abilities for iNPC's?

As for the abilities that can't be taken by iNPC's: all prodigal abilities (potions, DADA, charms, transfiguration), Components, Restricted Charms Section,Restricted Defense Against the Dark Arts Section,Restricted Potions Section, Restricted Transfiguration Section. These are abilities that if you take with your PC, your iNPC would also be able to have access to the same potions and spells.

In addition, is there a masterlist of all the various magic schools & where they are located? I've tried looking around and can't seem to find one.

Preferably, you look at Context (or what is now Setting Lore) here for the lore on the schools as there may not be much initially on a school. As far as I'm aware, the closest school to a german student is Beauxbaton (located in france)
