just a suggestion, it would be much more fun if the riddikulus spell was learnt via thread (exlusive to 3rd year?) like steleus, bubble charm and oculus. it makes for great character dev. since otherwise, its almost impossible for students to rp facing a boggart (without rule breaking) if not in class/the lesson and an organised rp with a professor. just something to consider.

i have already learnt the spell via graduation anyway. can ignore this suggestion if you want. oki bye.

I have 2 ideas!

1. Perhaps make some kind of board called a "Clubs and Clans" board somewhere inside/outside Hogwarts? I know there's a board called that in Leaky Cauldron but it's an OOC type of board that specializes in OOC creating/joining clubs/clans. But my idea was more like if students created/joined a club and didn't know where to post meetings IC etc... they could post on the Clubs and Clans board that could either be located inside Hogwarts or outside Hogwarts, under the Grounds heading etc... You know what I mean? I don't know, it's just a random idea.

2. One more way to get House Points. You can only currently get House Points through voting, homework and possibly errands which spring up now and then but not on a regular basis. At least not that I've seen so far that is. Once you've finished all your homework, you have no way to earn House Points for the rest of the year, other than voting and possible errands that spring up. I think there should be at least ONE other way to earn House Points. Maybe it isn't unlocked until after you've done ALL the homework that you can do in your current year.

But it seems as if you should be able to earn House Points even after you've turned in all your homework for that year. A lot of people tend to turn in all their homework at once to try and become one of the top 3 earners. But then that leaves them for the next 11 months or so with no way to earn more House Points. So to me, it seems like kind of a waste. But that's just my opinion. So my idea is either to develop ONE more way to earn House Points, or increase it from being the Top 3 earners to the top 5-6 earners to give people more incentives.

Sophia Nelson has a great idea that I'm bugging her to post about getting House Points!!! It literally sounds awesome to me.

You also get house points in sports teams, by winning your game yiu earn house points. We presently have dwelling, broom racing and quidditch. They do 3 official games a year and the top one often does a fourth summer game against npcs and also gain house points. Will need specifics for alternatives

As for oc clubs and ic clubs. Players have made ic clubs also, that is merely a hub for oc management of it. Be the club ic or oc. Most ic clubs are short-lived, players tend to be inconsistent. Often the ic clubs that have persisted have vibrant communication efforts. Notable is SWAG and Alan I believe. My recommendation is to use the club thread for sign ups and communication. Meeting ic in the dungeons. Ic in the classroom. Etc.

Hey, so, I'm just gonna throw it out this idea, and see what y'all think of it.

Ok, so, you know how everyone now gets a 10s salary? (everyone that doesn't get the extra money I mean) can we grant first years the ability to donate money like everyone else?

Adding onto what Noah suggested: since the not donating money to prevent multiaccounting for money makes sense, maybe it could be on a timescale? Eg. after two months, you can donate money. Or after a certain amount of posts and a certain amount of days, similarly to homework. My reasoning would be that some people join in June and can donate after a few weeks when they graduate, and some people join in August and miss graduation by a few days so have to wait a year. It might need to be coded into the site though, unless it's something that can be modifed by moderators.

I'm not entirely sure if this is something we can change without coding at all, to be honest. (Had a quick look and I can't see it right now. I'll look again properly later, in case I missed it but I can't see the option at all right now).

Having a timescale/criteria for it would definitely require coding, unfortunately, as we can't do that ourselves unless we manually somehow changed it for each person (assuming we can even change it in the first place). However, I'll bring it to the other admin in case anyone knows how to do it or has an idea for how it might work.

It's different for everyone, but, I believe the site runs on French time :eyes:

The reason that year one players cannot send money had nothing to do with the wages they made. It is because of the unfortunately common practice of people making multis and then sending themselves funds. It is not very easy to notice this bannable practice and not being able to do it serves as a sort of deterrent from making a secondary account. The inability to do that is one less temptation for them to multi-account.

The decision however for that limitation is not on the present administration because it is coded into the site. Zach would be the one that would need to make that change.

As for hio time on the screen, not entirely sure what this part means. Your post would be taking place (unless otherwise written) when you write the thread took place. The easiest way to convey the time of a thread is to write it in the first post of the thread by the maker.
