FAQ — Questions
Correct me if I am wrong, but Pure Bloods are like Draco Malfoy. His relatives are all pure bloods and come from straight wizarding backgrounds. Wizard Borns are like Harry Potter - his father is a pure blood but his mother is a muggle. This means that his blood isn’t pure as his mother is a muggle born, but both the parents are wizards/witches. Sorry if that was a load of waffle!
Also feel completely free to just ask your mentor all your questions! That’s what they are there for and they enjoy being helpful! (Well, I hope so… otherwise my poor mentor! Hehe)
Edit: what Clark said is completely right. Sorry I didn’t see the post until now!

In addition, here is a link to the page that describes all of the blood statuses.Pettely Knots wrote: 10 Jan 2025, 23:32 Hello everyone! I am just wondering, what is the difference between Wizard-born and Pure-blood? I would ask my mentor except this question has a quick answer and I don't want to bother her with bucha short questions.

This is how we look it from Hio lore:Pettely Knots wrote: 10 Jan 2025, 23:32 Hello everyone! I am just wondering, what is the difference between Wizard-born and Pure-blood? I would ask my mentor except this question has a quick answer and I don't want to bother her with bucha short questions.
Wizardborn indicates also that your character lives in a magical household, has little contact with muggle culture and no real awareness of muggle anything.
In that regard they're like Purebloods. They just don't have the blood status.
Keep your mind in hell; and don't despair.

FAQ — Questions
Please don't ban me or anything, as I am not trying to doubt the sorting hat or anything when I ask this, but my gf who recently just gotten sorted believes strongly she got the wrong house(Gryffindor) by whatever chances, as she doesn't believe she belongs due to her lack of boldness, bravery, and courage, as well as things known in it like recklessness, short-temper(she actually has a very hard shell to break if you want to make her mad, but beware if you do end up breaking that shell of hers.) and doesn't tend to have self-righteousness, rather more having doubt about it. What do you think about this? Again, I'm not trying to offend anyone or that if this gets read like that, I just wanna know what happened. If anything, by her acts and that, I believe she would belong as a Slytherin as well, no, not because we're dating. I'm not trying to pull a card like that or anything, but because she has strong traits of it, even if she hides it, being rather ambitious, determined, clever, cunning from time to time to get her way(more like charismatic-), pretty high self-preservation, and a bit of shrewdness. Once more, I don't mean to offend or doubt, I'd just like the question answered or what things we can do about it. Thank you!

Yeah, I am no expert at creating these psychology tests, but in my opinion they are not the best, as they are easy to see through(in my opinion) and like you said, they might not always be accurate. But not gonna lie, the website itself is great though!

First- don't worry, the staff here don't ban people out of the blue, for asking a question or minor rulebreaks. Banning is taken very seriously. You're fine
The Sorting Hat takes the answers your girlfriend gave as well as the current distribution of students into account (the house test has a stronger impact though).
Without seeing what answers she gave, it's very hard to form an opinion, personally I was quite certain of my own house and also made accurate guesses when watching my friends take the test.
Either way, the house cannot be changed, if the result is Gryffindor, then your girlfriend's character will remain as such. Unexpected sorting outcomes can be a fun roleplay opportunity though!
FAQ — Questions
The sorting hat is always right! Sometimes these characteristics don’t show themselves in some situations, but eventually you will see the point!
Trust me when I say that I understand her situation. I originally assumed Ava would be a hufflepuff, and somehow I ended up in Slytherin! Let the story play out, or adjust the character and you’ll find that the house was always the right one. I adjusted Ava’s character to be a lot more chaotic than I am in real life, and your girlfriend could do the same if she wanted her character to be more outwardly Gryffindor. But some courage is more internal than external!

The house given is based off of the answers that are chosen, so she may have picked answer that just happen to fit a bit better with Gryffindor than Slytherin. She can use the opportunity to rp her character being extremely disappointed in the house and other rp opportunities. If she really does not like being in Gryffindor, she has the opportunity to deactivate her character and create a new one in six months.

FAQ — Questions
I am terribly sorry for posting a lot on this category for no reason, but ummm... anyway, I see people with like 2000 posts when they are in only first year on this site. How? Do these people post that often? And are they actually that active? Or are there ai on hogwarts.io that is designed to post a lot and interact with human beings? I am not trying to be rude at all to people that posts and is very active on this site, I think it's great that people get really attached to this website RPing and interacting with other human beings instead of spending all their times watching brain-dead social media. But still, 2000 posts in first-year is kinda mind blowing to me, is there an explanation for people with that many posts?

FAQ — Questions
The firsties that have 2000 posts are just probably really active. They might be posting a lot in their common room chats, the ooc chat, or have a whole bunch on rp threads
