just a little less cus ur pizza opinion is wrong
I'm sorry Emma. I warned you. I really liked you.
But pineapple DISRUPTS flavours in a pizza it ACTIVELY challenges traditional culinary principles and INSULTS Italian gastronomy and DESTROYS what is meant to be a UNIVERSALLY enjoyable food.

Pizza is limited to only being a savoury food. Its base ingredients of tomato sauce, cheese, dough, and toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, or vegetables or whatever you like are specifically designed to agree (idk what else to write for that word ykwim tho) with each other. Pineapple, however, barges in with its sweetness that clashes with these toppings. Instead of delicating the taste, it creates a confusing and striking contrast that the human anatomy find overwhelming. Food works best when flavours harmonise, and pineapple interrupts that harmony.

Furthermore, texture matters just as much as taste. A good pizza has a balance between the crust, soft stringy cheese, and toppings. Pineapple, being juicy and soft and disgusting, releases disgusting liquid, which can make parts of the pizza soggy. This changes the intended texture of the dish and can ruin the experience of eating it. Pizza should be satisfying to bite into, not watery and sour. Nobody wants their slice turning into a small tropical swimming pool. BUT EMMA DOES APPARENTLY. (Ophelia, disown that one.)

Now, while modern cuisine encourages creativity in 2026, not every combination is successful, including pinapple on pizza.
Culinary traditions exist for a reason: they are built on combinations that have been tested and refined over time, you don't see me putting chocolate chips cookies in soup do you? Classic pizzas like Margherita or Pepperoni are popular because they WORK. Pineapple on pizza, meanwhile, feels like someone looked at a perfectly normal pizza and said, "What if we added confusion?"

Pizza is meant to be a shared food that brings people TOGETHER not break relationships because of people's (Emma) horrible culinary taste. I suggest you go to Italy and repent to the Italians and me because we do not appreciate you and we wish on your downfall every single night.
