Character Backstory[/center]

Reducio
Fern is an outgoing, kind, and spontaneous kid. She loves when it rains cause that means the worms are out, and the dirt has turned to mud. She loves animals especially bunnies, they show up all the time in her, and her moms garden. she can be rather loud which gets her stares, or shushes from irritated neighbors. she loves to paint on the porch, she's not good yet, but she's sure she'll be the modern day Michelangelo at some point.

Fern resides in a small house in Knaresborough England, with her Father Henry Baker-Jones, and Mother Agnes Baker-Jones. Her Father was a former student at Hogwarts. After graduating from Hogwarts her father took the time away from school to explore England. Ferns mother was working at her father's bakery when she Met Henry in 2005. Three years later the two had tied the knot and moved into a small house where they planned to raise a family.

Henry frequently went to visit Hogsmeade to keep up to date with everything, and he would never forget to bring Agnes a gift back. On April 2nd Fern was born in the early morning, crying so loud it nearly woke the whole hospital and neighboring buildings, But Henry and Agnes didn't mind because they now had a beautiful daughter. As Fern continued to grow Henry would teach her everything he knew about the wizard world.

Fern spends her time tending to the garden, caring for the animals, and speaking with everyone she comes in contact with! She also loves to read, bake, and play in mud puddles though her mom says its far too messy. Before Hogwarts she attended a local public school not that far from her house, she rode her bike back and forth everyday to the school and it was the best.

Reducio
On Ferns 7th birthday Henry was certain his child would be a wizard. Agnes had told Fern she couldn't have a cupcake until the guest arrived, no one got cupcakes since the tray flung off the counter.

Oliver was born on Halloween, bright and early in the morning. To his parents Desmond Armani and Martha Armani. He has an older brother, named Aaron whom he is very, very close with. Later on he got two younger sisters, named Alice and Heather, as well as a younger brother named Zachary.

His family is very rich and influential. Both his parents have important (so they claim) mistry jobs. His mother being an Accidental Magic Reversal Squad Member, and his father a Lawyer. Oliver grew up in a large house on the outskirts of Hogsmeade, with his family. As well as a pesky ghost of his great, great, great grandfather. He and his siblings grew up somewhat spoiled, mostly ignorant. As they had everything they could ever want, they wanted a new toy? Done. they didn’t like what was served for supper? We can make something else, no worries. They doesn't really hear no often.

As a child he was (like most pureblood children are) home taught all of the basics, like math, english and what not. He was also taught how to play piano, as his mother and father felt that it would be a nice skill to have. Even though Oliver didn’t like the lessons, he would have much rather been playing in the wood behind their home, he did them. And got, well as good as one can get when they don’t want to do them. He knew a few songs; would mess up a note from time to time. Nothing too good or too bad. Every so often he will play when his family has a ball. The Armani family hosts a summer ball every year. As a celebration for another year at Hogwarts.

Both his parents went to school there, in the Gryffindor house. Where they met and fell in love, as they both were on the dueling team as partners. Gryffindor was the only house deemed suitable for an Armani. His grandparents were there too, and his great grandparents, as well as his older brother Aaron. The house of the brave, Armani’s were not cowards. His father told him that often.

He grew up happy, and away from muggles. That's why they lived so close to Hogsmead. As none of the family could really tolerate them. They weren’t super hateful of Muggles, they just looked down on them. Without doing magic, the same went for muggle borns. They all thought their magic was weaker than purebloods. And the same was said about half breeds. They looked down on really anyone that wasn’t pureblood.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
His older brother is Oliver's best friend, They do everything together. At least when Aaron is home from school to do it. Ollie looks up to Aaron like no one else in the world exists. He was there for his first magic too. When Oliver was about seven years old. They had been playing around in the house, running despite there mother telling them not to. They had been playing tag, chasing each other around all over the house. Oliver had just tagged Aaron, and had the bright idea to make his escape down the stairs. He was so focused on the fun him and his brother were having. That he slipped, and fell down the stairs. Only, it wasn’t so much a fall, rather than bouncing. Like he had thrown a rubber ball down the stairs. Even if Oliver was not made of rubber, did not turn himself into rubber, he just merely bounced down the stairs, landing unharmed and confused. When Aaron ran after him (It was clear he did not learn from his brother's mistakes), he saw Ollie unharmed. And knew what that meant exactly.

Oliver was a wizard, and would get his letter. Another wizard to the Armani family. His parents were quite happy too, there was a great celebration. As there was when Aaron had his first magic. With lots of food, mostly of Oliver’s favorites. And dancing, lots of smiles. It is very much a core memory for the boy.

When he got his Hogwarts letter, his parent’s framed it, and put it on the wall with every other letter the Armani family had gotten. Right next to his brothers. They like to think it’s a good luck omen for no Squibs in the family. As that would be the most disgraceful thing. That or not being in the illustrious Gryffindor house.

Emily was a Halloween baby. She was the half-sister of Linda Ramirez.
Emily was born in 2013 while her half sister was born in 2011. By that time Linda's father is already married with Linda's mother, Linda would be,one and some months. As she's March 2011 and NPC older brother is older than Linda by 7 years, meaning he'd be 8. By that time both families are happy together and living in a mansion Linda's father bought for family. Father's line is Ramirez, mother's line is Blacklia. Emily was closer in personality in father's line grandparents and all those before them. Emily slent more time with them as a child and the Ramirez supported the dark side and following Voldemort during the war.
There's no drama in family, except the muggleborn woman that everyone forgot about and erased her existence..for a very short period of time Linda's father, well not too short, for 7-8 years, he was with muggleborn woman who gave birth to Linda's brother and to Linda, while giving birth to Linda, she died. So when Linda was about one, Linda's father married with pureblood woman which both Linda and her brother consider their biological mother because they don't know about another one. Her father, once married with pureblood one, was again welcomed back by his parents and the pureblood woman didn't know about the blood status of Linda's mom.
between Linda's father and this pureblood woman they all know as mother in their first year together. So this is why Emily believes she is a pureblood

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Emily was 5 years old when she first had her first instance of magic. She had been out climbing a tree when suddenly she lost her balance and fell to the ground with a scream. Miraculously, she landed on her feet unhurt. She told her parents and they were so happy that she wasn't a squib they threw a ball in her honor.

I would also like a blood status change to pureblood as Emily and Linda are half sisters
So, as for question why everyone Linda’s mom she died while giving birth to Linda

As for blood status, Emily is from second marriage which is between purebloods, Emily has no blood connection to Linda's mother,

Emily went to Hogwarts for a few months but came down with a sickness that made her weak and unable to continue her first year so she went home and got better.

Meiyu was born to muggle-born Wenjian Xiang and pure-blood Elizabeth Knight on a cold gloomy morning in Seoul, South Korea, on 31st October 2012. Her parents met a few years prior in Seoul after her mother was dispatched to South Korea as part of her role working in the Department of International Magical Co-operation under the Ministry of Magic. Her father held a position as an Auror in Seoul and was able to transfer to a branch in London, when his wife Elizabeth received an OWL asking for her return to England in 2017, after the birth of their second son.

Meiyu has two younger brothers who are very different in personalities to her, though they do get on, the difference between the Xiang siblings were quite obvious. At 11 years old, Meiyu has a delicate and youthful appearance, nicknamed late-bloomer by her grandparents, she has smooth and fair skin complimenting her round face. Her large, expressive eyes framed with her dark long lashes, give her a thoughtful and observant expression, sometimes showing too much expression.

The Xiang's moved to Oxford, London in May 2017 and Meiyu begun her muggle studies upon enrolling in primary school as per her fathers wishes. During this time, Meiyu struggled with the transition, granted she had spoken English at home with her mother, but moving to Oxford was an entirely different thing. Reuniting with her cousins, who were in much closer proximity than before helped evolve Meiyu's personality, making her friendly and outgoing. Meiyu was aware of her heritage and linage, but growing up amongst Muggles, it was decided to have her enrolled into muggle school despite her maternal grandmother, Agatha Knight's wishes, who wanted her home schooled. She was never interested in muggle studies and would prefer listening to her maternal grandfather's tales of his times at a magical school, here in England.

Meiyu adored her maternal grandparents, often hearing about their tales at Hogwarts when they had visited the Xiang's in Seoul, she had longed to learn more about the wizarding world. Whenever they would return to England during summer holidays, Meiyu would read her great-grandfathers parchments, entailing his tales as a student. Contrary to Meiyu, her materal grandfathers are a long line of Slytherin descendents, which made her very anxious being the first Xiang to attend Hogwarts.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio

One quiet afternoon on a misty November, Meiyu was sitting in her maternal grandmother’s garden, reading a book about muggle tales under the shade of a large oak tree. At age 9, she absentmindedly flipped through the pages, frustrated by the dullness of the text and the echos of her younger brothers playing with the maple leafs scattered around the field, she wished for the wind to pick up, imagining it would be humorous to have strong winds blow away her brothers, who were disturbing her solitude. One of her brothers, kicked a football too hard sending to flying in her direction, Meiyu sat there watching everything slow-down, her impending doom of a flying ball coming towards her delicate face, until it slowed down, right in front of her, manoeuvred to the right slightly, and sped up once more until it shot right past her.

Wide-eyed, Meiyu looked around, wondering if her brothers who were playing had seen it. But it was just her, it happened too quick. She realized, with a mix of excitement and fear, that something inside her had made it happen. That was the first time she felt the magic within her, a hint of the extraordinary path ahead, and the abilities she had hoped to one day inherit.

Ariel was born in Seoul, South Korea. Her father, Lin Zhixun, was the descendent of a Korean immigrant and a muggle. He first met Ariel’s mother, Eleanor White, when he was in UK as an exchange student. Eleanor helped him while Zhixun struggled in the new environment, and they became close friends. Even after Zhixun returned to China, they often exchanged letters. They met again when Eleanor visited China a few years later, and their friendship gradually changed into a romantic one as they met each other more. They traveled to South Korea together, and there Zhixun proposed to Eleanor. Eleanor hesitated a bit, but realized that their friendship had become something more and that she loved him. They married and settled in South Korea a year later. Zhixun always wanted to live in the country, and they both agreed that South Korea could provide a good opportunity for their child about to born.
Ariel lived in South Korea and attended a local school there when she was young. She was not welcomed because of her foreign appearance, and despite her efforts could only make few friends. She got into the habit of being a loner and doing things alone.
Zhixun and Eleanor frequently had clashing opinions, and they were both obstinate. They fought over small things ever since Ariel was born, and they got divorced when she was 8. Ariel chose to live with her mother. Though she appreciated her father and loved him, Ariel didn’t want to remain in the country and she was closer with her mother. They parted in good terms, and Ariel still often sends letters to her father.
Ariel and Eleanor moved to London after the divorce. There, she found a more happy and peaceful life. Although Ariel fumbled a bit in English and had an awkward accent, classmates in her transferred school mostly welcomed her. She became a best friend with Isla Williams. She also excelled in academic works and was satisfied with her life before she received a letter from Hogwarts. Though she hated to leave behind her friends and family, her ambition and curiosity made her to step into the new world.

First Instance of Magic: When Ariel was 9 years old, she accidentally fell down a short cliff near the beach she went during a vacation to Brighton. She managed to land on her feet, and she was not harmed at all.

Character Special Race: Part-Veela

Application:
Reducio
Calista's lineage consisted of two powerful magical bloodlines. Her grandmother was a full-blooded Veela, known for their enchanting beauty and seductive abilities. Her grandfather, a wizard and Auror, met her grandmother through expeditions. Their union resulted in five children, one of whom was Calista's mother.

Calista's mother inherited traits from both sides, becoming a half-Veela with a latent magical potential. Out of the five siblings, only Calista's mother was born female. Calista's father was a wizard as well, who was, like many other wizard men, captivated by the awe-inspiring beauty of Veelas.

Born from this union, Calista inherited the best of both worlds. She possessed the Veela charm and beauty, which her grandmother noticed immediately upon her birth. Her white hair, alluring charm, pale skin, and irresistible aura were unmistakable signs of her Veela heritage.

Growing up, Calista's personality contrasted with other known Veelas in her family. While most Veelas embraced their seductive nature and enjoyed the attention it brought, Calista hated the spotlight and was always wary of stares. This was inevitable, considering her lineage, but it set her apart from her Veela relatives.

Calista's unique personality often led to misunderstandings and feelings of isolation. Her Veela relatives, accustomed to the adoration and admiration that came with their kind, found it difficult to comprehend her desire for solitude. They saw her as a puzzle, a contradiction that defied their understanding.

Despite the challenges she faced, Calista found solace in exploring nature and music. It would take her only an hour to half-a-day in learning new instruments. She also enjoyed singing, although no words are said, the melody is enough to captivate anyone who listens. Her Veela heritage, while often a source of discomfort, also granted her a unique perspective. She possessed an innate understanding of plants and creatures, a gift that allowed her to connect with the natural world on a deeper level.

However, due to her heritage, she often felt like a misfit among her own kind. While she possessed the undeniable beauty and charm that defined her lineage, she yearned for a deeper connection with people that went beyond superficial appearances. She longed to be recognized for her unique qualities, her intelligence, her kindness, her strength of character – not merely for her Veela heritage. Her Veela side often felt like a burden, a constant reminder of the expectations placed upon her.

She thinks that the society often reduced Veelas to their seductive allure, ignoring the depth and complexity of their personalities. Her own superficial perception of her kind made Calista feel like she was constantly performing, a puppet on strings, expected to conform to a predetermined role.

Calista's determination to be seen as an individual was fueled by a deep-seated desire to break free from the societal expectations she thinks are placed upon her. She was tired of being defined solely by her Veela heritage, a label that often limited her potential. She yearned for a life where she could be recognized for her unique qualities. Calista's ambition was equally impressive. She was driven to succeed, not just for her own sake, but for the sake of her family and her community. She wanted to make a difference in the world, to right wrongs and create a more just and equitable society. Her ambition was fueled by a sense of purpose and a desire to make a positive impact.

Character Backstory:

Reducio
Calista stands at 4 feet 6 inches, with almond-colored eyes and light blonde hair. Her most prominent feature would have to be the cupid's bow on top of her lip, and of course the Veelan-blonde hair. She dislikes wearing eyeglasses, so she opts to wear graded clear contacts instead.

Growing up in Ireland, Calista was a child who preferred solitude. She likes to spend time playing with herself than engaging with other children. She spends most of her time exploring the world around her, where she favors nature over talking to others. She loves the way petals feel velvety when touched, or how said flowers smell like her mother. Calista is an only-child by a wizard Father and a half-Veela Mother. Her Father is overprotective of her in public due to the nature of their heritage, which is also the reason why Calista prefers to be alone most of the time. On the contrary, her Mother is insistent with her meeting other people. Still, before being sent to Hogwarts, Calista enjoyed solitude more than anything.

In terms of personality, Calista is a charismatic and quick-witted woman with a flair for creativity and a passion for adventure. She values honesty and integrity, and she’s not afraid to speak her mind, even when it's difficult. Despite her strong personality, she has a nurturing side, often taking on a protective role for those she cares about. Calista despises injustice and will go to great lengths to right wrongs. Her strong sense of morality drives her to stand up for what she believes in, no matter the personal cost.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Calista was nine when her mother witnessed her first instance of magic. Calista loved animals, as much as she loved nature, so when she witnessed a death of a baby toad, she wept and wept until flowers started blossoming around the body of the dead toad. Calista was too focused mourning for the death of the animal, than witnessing her 'accidental magic.

Character Backstory:

Gerard Fox and Serafina Emory probably shouldn’t have gotten married. Not that anyone had tried to stop them. They were a beautiful couple, after all, and on equal footing in everything that mattered. Both came from magical families with international roots -Sarafina’s mother was Italian, Gerard’s great-grandfather a German who slid from Wilhelm Voss to William Fox upon settling in London -and a limited risk of producing squibs. They were well-off separately and very well-off together. They even loved each other. Had done since they met at Hogwarts all those years ago.

There was just one problem: Gerard and Serafina were idiots. Truly stupid. Their combined intellect was as shallow as a half-drunk puddle. Between them they shared about a quarter of the common sense bestowed upon an average human being. Highly suggestible and always eager to be on the ground floor of the next big invention, the couple waft from one party to the next, cutting checks for cauldrons that change color in sunlight and rings that turn your fingers blue when it’s about to rain. If it hadn’t been for their iron-clad trust funds limiting withdrawals, the pair would’ve lost everything a thousand times over.

And if they shouldn’t have gotten married, well, then they absolutely should not have had children. And yet, six years into their marriage, along came Zelda. Griselda, technically, though her parents never called her by her full name. Relatives would speculate that it was because they didn’t know how to spell it. Or, perhaps, that they had forgotten it altogether. Ambrose came next a little over two years later, then Hadriel-called-Heidi three years after that.

The family took up residence in a townhouse tucked away in one of London’s more magical neighborhoods. Zelda and her siblings had a happy childhood filled with love, their parent’s parties, and a veritable hoard of well-meaning relatives. When Zelda got her Hogwarts letter, everyone heaved a massive sigh of relief. Until they realized they would need to find someone else to help balance the checkbooks.

Zelda is a bright, pragmatic child who came out of the womb with more sense than either of her parents. Her intellect is regarded as a minor miracle in the Fox family and, as such, has been nurtured from an incredibly early age. Every Sunday she and her Grandfather Fox pore over the Sunday Times together, trading articles and bickering about crossword clues. While Zelda doesn’t consider herself to be too competitive, there’s no doubt that she will do everything that she can to secure a spot at the top of her year. So much of her identity is wrapped up in being ‘the smart one’ that anything less than a perfect grade is bound to provoke a meltdown.

As the only introvert in a house full of extreme extroverts, Zelda has developed a tendency to withdraw early from social situations. She would much rather curl up with a book in a quiet corner than perform in one of Ambrose’s plays or Heidi’s dance routines. Though she knows she will miss her family terribly, a part of her is relieved at the prospect of trading the raucous house for the calm tranquility Hogwarts castle is sure to bring.

Even though she values her time alone, Zelda has no trouble making friends. Quite a a lot of this has to do with how open minded she is: until a person proves that they are absolutely awful and not worth knowing, she’s more than willing to give them a chance. Once that chance is ruined, though, there’s no going back. Despite preferring a cold shoulder technique, Zelda isn’t afraid to speak her mind, either. If it comes down to it, she will happily tell someone all the reasons that they are a terrible person straight to their face.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
In the interest of being honest, Zelda has no idea what her actual first instance of magic was. You see, it all depends on who tells the story. Her parents insist that it came early -far earlier than it had for either of them -with her magically cleaning her nappies when she was no more than a week old. This, according to Zelda’s grandparents, is utter rubbish: her nanny was the one changing her, obviously, and only two people as thick as Gerard and Serafina would attribute to magic what was clearly done by a household employee.

Her real first use of magic -according to her grandparents, that is -was when a three-year-old Zelda levitated her favorite stuffed dragon above her baby brother’s bassinet. Whether it was to share or show off no one could say for certain, but it was undoubtedly her doing and that was all that mattered in the end.

I, Morcan Idle, am half blood, with a witch for a mother and a Muggle for a father. I also have a little sister, Eilonwy, and five younger cousins: Brynne, Cambrie, Eirwen, Bronwyn, and Rhys. I have always loved my sister and cousins, and I try my hardest to be a good example for them. As a half blood, I was exposed to both Wizarding and Muggle communities and culture. Even though my father is a Muggle, he has a brother who is a wizard, so he knows of the magical community. My parents thought it best to place me in a Muggle primary school instead of having private tutors. However, I still have been to a few Wizarding shops. My mother has always gotten me and my sister chocolate frogs whenever we go to a Wizarding store. I have always been quite introverted, and my hobbies are reading novels and playing my flute. My school exposed me to new people and friends, and helped my mother and father to save money for later purposes. I went to the same school as my sister and cousins, so we have always been very close. All of my friends are Muggles because I was educated at a Muggle primary school. My best friend, Rhosyn, and I love to have concerts for our families. She sings, while I play my flute. We probably aren't very good, but we've always had fun together. I also have other friends, Owena, Nia, and Meredith. Nia and Meredith both played flute with me in band, and Owena has always sat next to me in Science class. I love my family and friends.

First Instance Of Magic:
My first instance of magic was when I was 7 years old. I was at my favourite thinking place, the pond at the park near my home, with my parents and my little sister, Eilonwy. On the ground encompassing the pond were pretty bluebell and buttercup flowers, but they hadn't yet bloomed. There is a bench next to the small waterfall that flows into the pond. That day, I was enjoying the beauty of the waterfall, and I felt the most at peace I have ever felt as the flowers surrounding the pond bloomed. The bluebells looked stunning, the butter cups almost shimmering in the sunlight. I could tell that my parents were shocked, and they smiled at the beauty of it all. Eilonwy sat playing in the grass, mouth wide open, staring at the flowers that I had somehow made grow. That day was one of the greatest days I have ever experienced.

=====T he sun felt raw and scathing against Sanguinius's skin, reminiscent of the gold casting that covered almost all of the furniture that resided inside of the Demarest Manor: gaudiness disguised by sheer opulence. In Ancient Greece, the material of gold was revered enough to be referred as the skin of gods; he couldn't make heads or tails as to where he read it from, just the heat of the rays fanning over him reminded him of the excerpt. It could have been a volume about greek mythologies or a textbook about ores, as boring as it may sound, it has given Sanguinius the answers he needed for the copious need of the material in his life.

There was no unknown scripture or opus that had not already been pried open by Sainguinius's greedy hands and devoured in whole, thrice if it piqued his interest. Information from the extensively vast library that the Demarest's owned barely even scratched the surface anymore.

Nor was he allowed to step foot near the vicinity of the said area, his tutors made sure of that.

Time spent without having a stray lecture of whether or not a soup spoon should be used to eat mango tarts was growing increasingly rare on his schedule and even more worrying for Sainguinius, he wasn't sure how he would be able to spend his spare breaks if he wasn't reading or practicing his fencing on the training field. His thirst for knowledge was insatiable, and the dry crumbs of etiquette or some mindless topic his teachers were teaching for growing purebloods were not enough to quell it.

He was most definitely not going to strike up a conversation with his cousins, of all things. That was uncharted territory he was more than comfortable of not being able to explore, or perhaps it was more of the tempestuous sea of knowing he was not quite equal he preferred to avoid altogether. The dreadful thought of small talk with his cousins filled him with an apprehension akin to facing a particularly skilled opponent in the fencing ring. Each encounter felt like a bloody duel, with words exchanged as sharp as any blade, their hidden barbs leaving lingering wounds he was not equipped to heal. Being forced on the defensive has always never been his forte on the battlefield, yet there was a small droplet of skepticism inside of him that knew he wasn't at all that pure of blood.

It didn't take that much to guess that Sanguinius's mother must have some pretty strong genes to take the standard Demarest traits, whose walls were almost impenetrable to break, right out of Sanguinius's cistron pool. A factor that his mother must not have taken into account when she coupled with his father.

With Sanguinius's blonde curls, anyone could say that he had gotten it from his great, great grandfather but the silver strands that flowed through its waves were unusual. His eyes were instead a milky grey with a more lighter shade of the Demarest's own shade of blue circling around the irises, giving him a few scoldings on more than one occasion that staring for a prolonged of time was considered "rude." Not only that, he had the dashing appearance of a blooming girl in court, which, he considered that he should have felt honored that his looks were more than out of the ordinary. However, being out of the ordinary has given him enough problems by the other nobles and his relatives.

His maternal side was strung with a curtain of mystery that his father was adamant on not revealing.

The most information he had gotten about the woman was not even spoken into the air, he had connected the pieces together like some grotesque puzzle.

On one of the many gatherings he was required to attend with his family, as per familial unity, he was able to see past the hardened exterior of Renato Demarest. He and his father were swept to the sidelines, both preferring to watch instead of engage. Out of curiosity, Sanguinius followed his line of vision to a young woman who had been dancing, with hair that was not like Sanguinius's but similar enough that he had also been taken aback, and a complexion as white as the porcelain and marble back in the manor. There was a faint outline of luster surrounding her body, leaving Sanguinius to wonder if there was any lights shining down upon her. He soon realized that his father wasn't even looking at her, he was looking through her.

That was the only time he had ever seen such a deep sadness, a longing almost, appear on his father's face.

Whoever his mother was, she still had her claws deep in him.

As troubled as he was, his beauty was something that he could wield as a weapon. A bat of his eyelashes and the stern kitchen cook would give him another pastry in return, an offhand sigh or two and the maid who had been mouthing off earlier would brush his hair a little more gently. It was both a blessing a curse.

Yet, the sun continued to beat down, relentless and unforgiving, ultimately reminding him of the expectations that weighed heavy on his shoulders like the rock that Sisyphus carried. Except his punishment wasn't to push a boulder up a hill for eternity. He was a scion of the Demarest line, bound by duty and the shadow of his family's legacy and all the people that came before him.

He would have to endure the lessons on manners and social niceties, the endless debates about which fork was appropriate for which dish, and the shame of inferioty that he was accustomed to on the daily if he wished to leave without another bleeding wound to lick.

Character Backstory:
Reducio

The Demarest Family is an off branch, pure-blooded family who has prided themselves for their showmanship and natural skill with the sword for decades, be it wand or not. They were first descended from an unnamed squib who chose to live the life as a muggle mercenary after being removed for being devoid of magical prowess; until over the generations that came, the Demarest family evolved into a notable lineage with a blend of traditions and magic from all over Italy. Their ancestral squib’s decision to embrace the mercenary path became a point of salvation in their history books, highlighting the importance of devotion and volatility as well as reminding members of the Demarest family about their roots. People who come from the Demarest Family are known to be hot-headed, feral, and almost bestial when it comes to doing what they love: dueling.

Sanguinius was not given the signature coal locks and melancholic blue hues every Demarest had. He had came too quickly, too soon, out of the welcoming darkness of his mother’s womb but his eagerness for life was not cut short as he was brought into her arms, wailing with all he had in both of his lungs.

The white snow outside of the tainted window had not quite melted yet nor was the frost that had managed to travel inside of the nursery about to leave any time soon. The slight ache Veberna felt was the only thing she could consider as her companion in this time of .

Veberna supposed that she felt the small pang of disappointment once she realized the small wisps on her babe’s head were not at all the ginger she secretly hoped for.

Still, he was a calming sight for her exhausted eyes to rest upon, and he may not have had all of the genetics of a Dermarest but the traits of his other heritage were apparent. His skin was one that was tanned like an olive branch, like hers, with the smallest and faintest of freckles dotting every corner and inch of his body until there was nothing else Verbena wasn’t sure was exempted apart from his face. That, at most, was one thing she was glad for, at least he didn't look like a corpse.

She allowed a smile to grace her features, gazing down at the baby whose screams began to soften until his hiccups reached to a reasonable volume, his small fingers reaching for the wayward coils that fell past her shoulders— and she let him. His grip on her hair was nothing more than harmless curiosity, his wide eyes transfixed on the way they simply looked.

Between Verbena and Renato, what they had was nothing more than a fling, a lighthearted tinge of attraction whose thread snapped had long snapped by the time Sanguinius came into the picture. Verbena was struck with the unlikely instance of lacking any maternal connection with her own child, and handed him to the next caretaker who stepped up willingly.

Sanguinius's father.

In return, raising a few curious eyebrows.

A bastard created from the hands of a pureblood, no matter how little their worth was compared to the Sacred Twenty-eight, was considered the norm in most people's eyes. However, the Matriarch at the time was not pleased. Sanguinius's whole existence was proof that there was another contender for the inheritance as Renato was the second son of the late third husband of the Matriach.

It was more suitable for grand parties that were held in the honor of someone's name or the swishing hems of billowing dresses, not for a five year old's dancing lesson. Instead of walls, there were columns of marble that stretched high into the hollow ceiling, resembling more like arches as it connected one side with the other. The lights from the looming chandelier always gave him the unnecessary throb inside of his head whenever he peered upwards or moved in the direction that caused a stray luster to blind him.

Sanguinius could feel the eyes of his tutor bearing down upon him, unblinking and hardly moving from her spot in the near corner of the room. She could've passed off as a carefully sculpted statue if it wasn't for the awful frown displayed across her wrinkled face.

He pressed his foot forward, then replaced it with another.

"Again." She hissed, clapping her hands once more as the notes in the air became discombobulated; harsh, raucous noises that was a stark contrast to the pristine instruments floating in the air; until it reverted back to the beginning strum.

Sanguinius was given lessons befitting for a male heir despite his apparent status in the family, much to the contribution to the rising tension in the family. Like any other child that was raised with rules drilled into his head early on, he followed the classes accordingly without fault.

Roughly a year later when he had turned six, he and his father were forcibly moved from the family manor in Italy, in where they were comfortably situated near the Tryhhinian Sea, to Holywell, Wales. A quaint town with little to show except for crumbling castles buried underneath the grout of several overgrown plants and decades of neglected dust, barely-standing effigies of times long forgotten, and the occasionally sanctified church.

Time soon came to take the matriarchs life, as of now, his father is the head of the family.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
At the tender age of eight, Sanguinius had the mind to accidentally conjure a series of magical sparks from the tips of his fingers during a mock duel between him and a distant cousin. His aim, at first, was to gain the upper hand in the imaginary game by drawing a magic circle in the air that would supposedly "counterattack" the false spell the other child threw at him. What he didn't expect was to cause an impromptu light show that distracted both of them from their game-- too entrapped by the specks of tiny embers that spurted from his hands. His cousin laughed excitedly at the display, but Sanguinius was left unsure as to how he did it.

He did receive a pat on the shoulder by his father after, and his approval made the ravenous creature inside of him all the more giddy for it.
