She took a deep breath and watched to see if anyone immediately followed. If anyone looked interested in watching him leave, except for the hormonal-laced, lustful glances she wished she never saw from a handful of the young women who have been proximal to him. For a midget giant he was incredibly popular with the girls. She did not see what they saw in him, his clothes alone and his skittish personality alone were reason enough to keep her distance. The only problem was, she could not leave him to his devices, he knew things that she did not. Things that were of great value to her. And despite Max Avery's warning that he would betray her, she was not afraid - they were never friends, there was nothing to betray.
