It was curious, heart-warming even, that circumstances would necessitate that the two girls share a common vessel. Ever since her move across the great Atlantic, Evelynn had struggled to develop any sort of meaningful friendship. Moving schools never seemed to aid that, either, but rather made it worse. By the end of her last semester, she wanted nothing more than to curl up and forget the entire student body; and hope they did the same of her. Thus, with her enrollment to Hogwarts, she had been prepared for an equally unpleasant experience.Interacting with @Madeline Doe; and there's still room in the boat for 2 more!
Obviously, reality had something else in store.
Sitting here on the bench of the rowboat across from Madeline, the conversation seemed to flow effortlessly -- after the initial ice breaker at least. The butterflies in Evelynn’s gut subsided, shoulders relaxed, her expression grew warmer with confidence, and her uncertainties silenced themselves. For the first time since leaving her large home in the small town on the outskirts of England, Evelynn could enjoy and engage fully in the moment. She could forget her fear.
As Madeline spoke of her previous home, Evelynn’s posture shifted slightly. Subconsciously mirroring the darker haired girl, she leaned in, her weight shifting slightly to one hip to lean just a bit against the inside wall of the boat. Admittedly, she did feel a twinge of disappointment to find out Madeline had live in Quebec. Perhaps she had secretly been hoping it was somewhere closer to her own previous home. Still, a genial and genuine smile took residence upon her lips. Canada was Canada after all; be it west or east coast, she was happy to have discovered this common ground. All the more-so when Madeline admitted to having visited Vancouver. Her smile turned slightly crooked as it grew and a wave of mixed emotions briefly coloured her thoughts: curiosity as to what Madeline had thought, wonder as to where she had visited, worry as to whether she had judged it wanting.
The thoughts were fleeting, however, quickly turning to the subject and contents of the book that would satiate Madeline’s queries. As she described it in detail, she made note of the response it elicited. Madeline’s gaze widened slightly; and in those doe eyes, Evelynn could see not only the moon’s reflection, but the distant flecks of light from the looming castle. She had also noted the change in posture to lean forward. A warmth of contentment, and perhaps a small amount of self-pride, flushed Evelynn’s cheeks. It was a genuine interest depicted in the figure before her. To know that she could captivate her audience with her knowledge...it helped Evelynn not to feel quite so out of place.
This warmth intensified to embarrassment as she realized her own casual mis-step. In order to not so blatantly advertise herself as being out of place, she had initially intended to avoid hints to having been raised in the normal world. Especially while in conversation with someone who had obviously had a very different upbringing. This had been evident with Madeline nearly from the start with her use of terms such as ‘muggle’. But here Evelynn had mentioned her tablet. To her continued surprise, however, Madeline wasn’t entirely uninformed.
”Ugh.. I know…” Evelynn replied with a suppressed roll of her eyes, after listening to how Madeline’s family had integrated mundane invention into their magical life, but only in limited fashion. ”My mom’s the same. She always has me enrolled in this or that and expects me to do well. ’If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again…’ and all that. Always put a limit to time spent on the TV or computer. I don’t think I mind that anymore, though. I’d rather be riding or drawing anyway..
”As for a tablet...I guess it’s kind of like a TV, yea?” Her own brows knit together then, her gaze averting to the ripples moving across the lake as she tried to decide how to explain the technology. ”Well some are, at least. It can mean a few things, actually... Do you know what a cell phone is? It’s like that, but a lot bigger… Or like a small, flat version of a computer. Basically, a screen, that has programs...I mostly use the drawing and painting program on there and some of the games...that you can use. Mine has a stylet that I can write on the screen. Sometimes I like using pencils and paper better for drawing. It’s a bit easier in a way. But the tablet has everything all together and is just a lot easier to carry around or use if I don’t have a table to sit at.”
Evelynn’s voice trailed off as she realized she had spoken quite a bit on this tangent. ”Yup…” she finished, lamely, hoping against hope that the darkness of the night would help to veil what she could only assume were red flushed cheeks.
”But...yesss!” Evelynn continued again, excitedly returning her gaze back to Madeline as she gathered her thoughts on the other subjects that Madeline had touched upon. ”You should read it. Wouldn’t that be exciting? If there were other secrets that haven’t been discovered? Like you said… it’s a huge castle. Who knows what’s hiding in there! And if there’s an award for finding them, well you’d best be ready to share it.
”Maybe we’ll even be in the same house! I hope so,” she chanced to say, hoping that Madeline wouldn’t laugh at her for that notion of sentimentality. But thus far, she had felt a rather kindred spirit in the girl. It was easy to talk to her. Madeline’s question was a good one, though. Which house did she think she’d be in? She had pondered on that previously, naturally, but had never quite decided on an answer. A pregnant pause spanned between them, her gaze once more turning out to the lake as she looked inward to do just that. Finally, she sought out Madeline’s gaze once more and spoke, ”I think Ravenclaw, probably. Or maybe Slytherin? What about you? Do you know where you’ll be sorted? I think I heard some students on the train saying that family can play a part. Although...I guess your parents probably didn’t go to Hogwarts...did they? There must be other schools like this?”
She hadn’t thought of that before, and the notion left her somewhat perplexed. Surely there must be other schools. Given the accents she had overheard on Platform Nine and Three Quarters and on the Hogwarts’ Express, the great majority of students came from the United Kingdoms. It’s not like this -- like magic -- was specific to people from here, right? Of course not. Otherwise she wouldn’t be here. So there had to be other schools in order to accommodate the learning of other magical children elsewhere in the world.

Madeline was listening intently. She sort of understood what a tablet was now. She had taken a moment to process it when Evelynn continued, ”You should read it. Wouldn’t that be exciting? If there were other secrets that haven’t been discovered? Like you said… it’s a huge castle. Who knows what’s hiding in there! And if there’s an award for finding them, well you’d best be ready to share it." Madeline perked up at that last line. Share it? She took a moment to think about if she would want to share a reward like that. She felt a bit of guilt. Maybe that would be greedy? But maybe it could be more of a game, like who can find more secrets than the other. ”Maybe we’ll even be in the same house! I hope so,”
Madeline let out a laugh, a little louder than she wanted and covered her mouth again. "I think I would like that. Then we could see who finds a secret first. Or find them together I guess..." She trailed off, looked up to the sky for a moment. Thinking about discovering a dragon under a classroom, or a vat of bubbling molten gold under her bed. Silly secrets, but they made her smile all the same. Maybe that was a bit too childish. Madeline wilted a little at that thought. Reminding herself she wasn't a baby anymore. Luckily Evelynn continued,
”I think Ravenclaw, probably. Or maybe Slytherin? What about you? Do you know where you’ll be sorted? I think I heard some students on the train saying that family can play a part. Although...I guess your parents probably didn’t go to Hogwarts...did they? There must be other schools like this?”
She thought for a moment on this before responding. "Well... I know that there are definitely other schools. My family is very old and pure-blood. I'm not sure how that affects what house you go into. But no, we're not from around here, so my parents didn't get sorted here either." Madeline screwed her face up, trying to remember what her parents had said about their schooling days and trying to filter out anything that might sound bad.
"My mom went to Ilvermorny. She says that they have houses you're sorted into as well, but it's more like the house chooses you if they want you. I think she said her house was a serpent too. She also wants me to do well and meet a lot of people. My father went to Durmstrang but he hasn't talked much about it. Just says that it was hard and that's how it should be." Madeline rolled her eyes, "But I'm not sure. I really love to learn, I have really good manners, and I'm pretty good with strategy games like chess... but I'm not sure what else would be important. My family wanted me to be in Slytherin. I don't know too much about the houses, but Ravenclaw sounds cool! Not that you should pick your house based on how it sounds." She laughed nervously, blushing a little. "Hufflepuff sounds a bit... funny. I don't know if I want to relate to being... puffy. Gryffindor sounds interesting. My father says he's dealt with Griffins before, and they're really smart and strong."
Madeline fiddled with her bracelet as she talked, thinking through each house and what they might be like. After a moment she pauses and her eyes fall back to Evelynn's warm face, "I wonder if houses get to hang out together, or if they have classes with each other. I do hope we can be in the same house. It would be nice to have a friend right away!" Madeline smiled, feeling warm and fuzzy. She was worried that she wouldn't meet anyone like her or anyone who wanted to be her friend. Madeline got nervous again, happy to have made such a good connection so far, but wondering if the sorting would change things with anyone she met before then. Even if they were in different houses, hopefully they could still talk.

Ruthie's attention broke when another young girl, appearing rather nervous by the way she stuttered, asked to join their boat. The professor agreed enthusiastically and the girl swiftly took her place in the boat. But what surprised Ru was the way that she took out a copy of a book almost immediately and started to read. The Scottish girl loved reading too, but she had to admit that she found this behavior to be rather rude. Sure, it was awkward meeting new people and in this situation, but you could ease into it by talking to others. "What book have you got there?" Ruthie asked her, not having glimpsed at the cover earlier in this darkness.
Back in the boat, Ruthie was glad to learn that she had been right: this woman had, in fact, been a Quidditch player. She was about to interrupt and correct this professor's pronunciation of her name, but the woman just rambled on, explaining how she came to teaching, the marvelous stories she might tell at class--or tea--and an autograph! The little girl's eyes widened uncontrollably. "Really?" she asked, unbelievingly, "I'd love one! I don't think I have anything for you to sign though." Her luggage was likely with the house elves by now and unlike the reading girl, she hadn't brought anything with her. But she had a lot of questions. What was it like to play professionally? What had it been like to go up against the Pride of Portree? How do you even get to be a professional Quidditch player? But eventually she settled on: "What was your greatest moment on the pitch, you reckon?" Sitting up, she listened eagerly for the story she imagined would follow. Perhaps tea wasn't such a bad idea if it would lead to fascinating Quidditch stories.
"I hope I'm ready," she replied to the professor's question, "My mum has told me wonderful things about Hogwarts." And Claire had. It was no secret that she was gunning for her daughter to end up in Ravenclaw just like her. And in her research, she would try to point out planets she expected to be on the Herbology curriculum. But perhaps the others hadn't had parents like that. In fact, she didn't even know the other two pupils' names. "I'm Ruth Greer," she introduced herself, extending her hand to the boy first and then the girl. Hopefully, their company would make for a pleasant boat ride. Perhaps they'd even get some Quidditch stories.

It was dark and there was alot of commotion coming from the other students as they grouped up and hopped into their boats. Jorah believed the professor gave him the Ok, but he wasn't sure. What he did know was that he wouldn't be left behind and if he had to cross this lake at night, he was going to do it with a professor. The last thing he needed, was to be in a boat full of kids and have one "genius" flip it over because they think they're being funny. Jorah hopped into the boat and was greeted by another student. “Hello, I’m Santario”. "Oh, hi Santario, I'm Jorah," he stuck out a hand to shake hers. "Do you know what's going to happen to our luggage?"
Jorah got comfortable in the boat. Someone would have to stay out and push it into the water, but he just assumed the professor would take care of that. Jorah hated wet socks, so he was just gonna sit nice and dry where he was. He looked up at the other student in the boat. "Hi, I'm Jorah," again extending a hand to shake. Jorah wasn't very outgoing but basic introductions seemed like the appropriate response when sharing a small boat with strangers.
Jorah's stomach growled. I can't wait for dinner, he thought. Before that can happen we have to get to the castle and then get sorted. Jorah posed a question for the two other students. "Hey, do you guys know where you want to be sorted?" Then to the professor, "Professor, what's the purpose of sorting students anyway? Is it really that important?"

Pure-blood. Ilvermonry. A serpent house. Durmstrang. The more they spoke, the more Evelynn realized just how far behind she was likely to be compared to her peers. Surely, she wasn't the only individual to have been raised unaware of the magical world, but it certainly didn't help that she didn't even understand the very basics of the world. It was one thing to read about the subjects they were to be studying in school, but quite another to remain ignorant of the basic values and concepts that served as building blocks to society.Interacting with @Madeline Doe and still room in the boat for two more!
That Madeline made mention that her family was very old and pure-blood had given Evelynn a certain level of pause. She had spoken it as though that notion carried some weight. Like the European nobility, or families of the better known Prime Ministers and members of parliament in Canada. But Doe wasn't a name that Evelynn had ever heard. Perhaps there was some form of social ranking in this world? She was already at enough of a disadvantage as it was being bred into a mundane life. Was she going to be faced with another trial of prejudice as she had tasted during her last year at the private school? That thought alone was enough to set the hairs on the back of Evelynn's neck on edge.
With a pleasant smile, she drowned such notions beneath her desire to listen. If she were to survive --let alone enjoy her time -- here at Hogwarts, she would have to absorb as much information as possible in a variety of forms. She could investigate those subjects at a later time. But for now…A conversation may be a different medium than a text, but it was no less powerful a source of knowledge. Not just regarding the world into which she had been introduced, either, but also the people with whom she would be sharing it.
A large part of her wanted to relax, to let her elbow rest upon the rail and lift her hand to cup her chin as she listened. An image of her mother came to mind, however, followed shortly after with the warning of outward perception. As much as she really enjoyed Madeline's company and hoped the two could become fast friends, she had to admit she was a little frightened to appear too comfortable. Especially with the new understanding that she was speaking with a pure-blood. Whatever that meant. Propriety, she decided, would have to be upheld. At least for now.
Even still, Evelynn allowed herself to lean a touch more generously against the rail of the boat as Madeline began to speak more about herself, and chuckled at the comment about Hufflepuff. "It does sort sort of funny, doesn't it?" Evelynn commented rather off-handedly. "I know their animal is a badger, but the name sounds like some sort of round huffy bird. Or a dusty powder puff I might find in my grandmother's attic…" She wrinkled her nose at that, but shrugged a brow. "But I suppose what they stand for is alright. Hard work, loyalty, dedication…My mother says those are the types of values to be respected. Even if they are a tad boring. But I suppose you don't get anywhere without putting in the effort."
"All the Houses have something good about them, I think. But I do wonder how they know which one is best. Or if there is a chance to request a change if you really don't like the one you get put into when you learn more about them…." Evelynn continued. As she verbalized her musings, her attention dropped to the fiddling of delicate fingers with a certain antiqued bracelet. "There must be some sort of mingling with other Houses, though. Even in my last school, we had meals together, shared classes, and competitions and sports between our Houses. Maybe it'll be like that here."
"If we don't get into the same House, though, maybe we could still be friends?" As though sparked with hope, moonlight glinted off the steel grey orbs that lifted to meet Madeline's. "You mentioned that you like to play chess…I'm not very good, but I'd like to get better. Maybe we could study together, too, if we have any classes together." Then her lips curled into something of a competitive smirk. "Besides, we'll have to figure out some way to compare our explorative achievements!"
She hope it wasn't too much, asking for what she had. Evelynn couldn't help it, though. The thought of a making an ally, perhaps even a friend, was one she couldn't pass up, and she was very much the type to pounce on an opportunity as it presented itself. Even if the two did come from different worlds, Evelynn was certain they aligned in many aspects, and Madeline seemed like a girl of whom her mother would have approved.

Santario would offer a polite smile to Jorah and shake his hand with a firm but polite grip. “Pleasure to meet you Jorah. I do believe that the elves that are employed by the castle take care of our luggage as soon as we are sorted.” Or at least that is what she assumed anyway because it just made sense to her. She would look over at Logan and extend her hand in greeting them as well assuming they got into the boat. “Well my mother says I could get Hufflepuff which wouldn’t bother me in the least but both of my parents were in Slytherin so naturally I would like to continue on in the same house they were in.”
She and her mother didn’t really care what house she got into and her father said he didn’t care, but every time it was brought up she thought that she could see that he might. “What about you guys?” She asked in return but also paid attention to the question asked to the professor. She thought she knew the answer because this was something, she had asked her parents, but she was interested to see the professor’s point of view as well.

The rocking of the boat started as little unnerving but had become pretty comforting. Constatly reminding Madeline of the journey ahead and every now and then she turned a glance at the other kids who were her peers. As she finished speaking to Evelynn, she felt pretty relaxed and confident that things were starting well. A little tired and overwhelmed with everything going on up until now, she was finding it hard to read Evelynn. She hoped that she didn't leak too much information but at the same time wanted to make friends and not appear completely ignorant of her new situation. Madeline laughed lightly at the image of a fluffy bird that Evelynn had compared Hufflepuff to, and simmered on the ideas and values they were supposed to represent. The brief image of her own mother using an overly expensive puff to cake her face came to mind too. The smell vaguely of baby powder and vanilla wafted through her mind, almost expecting the strong and musky spritz of purfume to come after.
Evelynn continued to muse on the houses and if you could change it. Madeline wondered that too. With how worried a lot of the students seemed to be about their sorting into houses, it felt very permanent. Even people her father worked with would often boast of their house in Hogwarts when the subject was brought up, o it seemed like a life-long title... almost. Noticing the glance to her bracelet, Madeline tried to stop fiddling with it. She weaved her fingers together instead, a little voice of her nanny yelling at her not to fidget.
"If we don't get into the same House, though, maybe we could still be friends?" Madeline's breath caught a little in her throat. A friend so soon? Officially? It had been ages since Madeline had something like a friend. It shouldn't feel like such a shock right? People make friends all the time... right? "You mentioned that you like to play chess…I'm not very good, but I'd like to get better. Maybe we could study together, too, if we have any classes together. Besides, we'll have to figure out some way to compare our explorative achievements!" Madeline took a breath.
"Of course we can be friends! That would be great." She smiled wide as she eagerly leaned forward on her toes, "I haven't played it in a while since my father's been so busy... but I'd love to play again. I won't go easy on you though!" She said, the competitive fire burning a little brighter behind her brown eyes, "I'm sure a study partner will be needed, especially once we get into harder classes. My father says Potions can be VERY exact, and that some teachers might grade really harshly--" She stopped for a moment to take a glance at the teacher bathed in pink in another boat, "But I guess we'll see how the teachers really stand up." She giggled, then suddenly slowing herself down, slightly embarrassed.
Madeline readjusted slightly, "We definitely need a ranking system for secret finds. Maybe we can think of a prize for whoever finds the uh, coolest secret? Either way, it should make for a very interesting year!" she smirked.

Noelle crumpled her candy wrapper as she got off the Hogwarts Express, letting her tongue savor the last bits of chocolate in her mouth. She brushed the crumbs off her black robe and adjusted her pointed hat. Her eyes flicked around the dark area surrounding the train, where she made out a split between the large amount of students heading for the castle. She had initially thought they'd all be going to the castle together, somehow, but it made more sense for there to be a special mode of transportation for the new students of the school year.Interacting with @Evelynn Decipio and @Madeline Doe.
The young witch made her way towards the smaller of the groups, which contained students closer to her age. She blended in well, despite her previously thinking she was especially tall. There was a mix of heights amongst the first years but everyone seemed relatively the same, like a sea of short but choppy waves.
The group began to move through a path in the trees. She had decided too late to look back to see where everyone else had gone because now all that lay behind them was the faint lights from the train that was slowly disappearing behind the trees. Noelle had no choice but to look forward, but she didn't mind that because she was curious about how exactly they'd be getting to Hogwarts.
Up ahead, guiding the students, was a female professor. Although there were two other ones about, this one took her notice first because Noelle actually recognized her: it was the retired player from the Holyhead Harpies, Olphie Bercegeay!
The first year's eyes lit up, but she didn't make a move towards the woman, and not just because it would be difficult to do so within the crowd of first years. Her mother once told her that celebrities were people just like everyone else, no matter how grand they seemed, and most of them wanted to be treated like an average human being, not like a god that descended from the heavens. Noelle made a note to at least say hi to her one day, if she didn't turn out to be one of her own professors.
Suddenly the sight of a dark and slightly imposing lake came into view. Noelle didn't really think much of it, for some reason, until she noticed the amount of boats that lined the shore. Then she realized that they'd be actually riding these across the waters, the black waters.
Noelle sucked in an uneasy breath but she continued to follow the other students who were making their way towards them, following the instructions of the professors. As she passed them, she took the moment to get a good look at them. All of the professors looked young and a little worn out, reminding Noelle of her mother, who she was really beginning to miss. Besides Professor Bercegaey there were two men, one with long locks of hair and a strangeness about him and another who just looked like he didn't want to be there.
Noelle hesitated a short distance from the teachers, trying to decide which boat she wanted to join. She gazed wearily around; she didn't exactly make any friends on the train ride there, having sat alone most of the time, and it was entirely too dark, despite the light from the nearby lantern and the professors' wands.
She contemplated this and recalled one of them saying that three of the boats would have a professor. Noelle wanted to join one of those boats, so she lingered near the professors.
But she took too long. After an ordeal with Professor Olphie and another professor, where they fell together and then dispersed to their own boats, she found that all of the professors had found their own boats, which had quickly filled up. Noelle's heart began to race—she didn't want to be left on this scary shore, especially not alone.
Noelle quickly headed towards the nearest boat that wasn't full of students. Two girls already occupied it, and seemed to be in the middle of an interesting conversation. She hesitated, just for a second, before sliding into the boat. She offered them a nervous smile; one of them had pretty red hair and blues eyes while the other dark hair and brown eyes, like Noelle. But Noelle's hair wasn't long and straight, it was shoulder-length and wavy, and her eyes were closed to jet black than actual brown.
Both of them looked inviting enough so she began to relax but she didn't say anything, she was too nervous. A million thoughts were racing through her mind and she thought that it would be nice for the girl's to continue on with their conversation uninterrupted. Noelle was really just here for the ride to the school, not to talk anyway. She found herself gazing at the water, around at the forest, and then finally up at the night sky, with bright and wise stars.

Evelynn's heart leapt a little with Madeline's affirmation that the two could be friends, a warm smile spreading across her face reflecting just such a thought. So early into her Hogwarts journey, the red-head wouldn't even have dreamed to have met someone else with whom she could have connected with so quickly with so many overlapping interests. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad afterall. Maybe she'd actually be able to have a normal -- could attending a magical school for witches and wizards be considered normal? -- academic year. She was suddenly struck with the desire to contact her mother, to tell her all about this triumph, when Madeline commented on the difficulty of potions and the possibility of strict and hard-marking professors.Interacting with @Madeline Doe and @Noelle Carmona; the boat has room for one more!
"I suppose we will have to see just how they stand up…" Evelynn replied, trying to keep the nerves out of her tone.
She was normally quite adept in her academic pursuits, but this wasn't exactly science and math and humanities. How she would compare to the rest of her fellow peers was very much up for debate. The fear of discovering that she wasn't actually meant to be here began to creep over her again, just as it had on the train-ride here, sending the hairs on the back of her neck to stand on end and the palms of her hands to sweat.
Just as Evelynn attempted to hide the wiping of her palms with a readjustment of her robes, the boat shifted and rocked beneath them, weighed down by the entrance of another student. And truly, not a moment too soon. Snapped from her quickly downward spiraling insecurity, Evelynn snapped her gaze to the body responsible. At first, she thought the new-comer may have been in the wrong place. The newcomer was pretty tall, after all, but of course only fellow first years would have been here. The rest had gone off in the other direction towards some carriages parked off by the train.
She seemed quiet, this stranger, offering Evelynn nor Madeline little more than a shy smile, but one that Evelynn reciprocated. But then she just…sat there. Saying nothing. Doing nothing. Keeping her gaze out towards the water. Was she afraid, Evelynn wondered? Or just apathetic? Maybe she was just as anxious for this ride and the promised sorting ceremony on the other side, just as Evelynn was? With a crimp of her lips, Evelynn gave the unnamed peer one last glance over before turning her attention back to Madeline, deciding to leave the former in peace.
"Is there a subject you're most looking forward to?" Evelynn inquired curiously. Despite her fear, it wasn't as though she weren't looking forward to the subject matter. The textbooks had been absolutely fascinating, and there was much she was anxious to learn. If she was able to. "I think I'm mostly interested in our Charms classes. They just seem so useful. I think I'm mostly looking forward to learning how to make spells last for long durations. Like how they use cushioning spells on brooms to make them more comfortable to fly on!" She'd learned about that one during her excursion to Diagon Alley. "And actually, Flying classes also sound really exciting. I won't be able to ride while I'm here, but this seems almost even better. Have you flown before?"

2019-2020 First Year Entrance
Moss is the last first year to get off of the train, Man why am I always last as she pull her trunk down the last step she hears a voice call out to the first year telling to go this way, Moss has to run to keep up with the crowd which is not easy with the trunk she is carrying. But she eventually makes it.Interacting with @Madeline Doe, @Evelynn Decipio and @Noelle Carmona
Moss was heard from one of her older cousins that Hogwarts does this special thing for the first year every year and she couldn't wait.
By the time Moss was fully caught up with the group nearly at the boats so moss could finally just take a little break, she observed all the nature around her, the towering trees and wind rustling through them made a beautiful sound.
Moss soon found her eyes trained on the professors, she had no clue who they were, she recalled her mum saying something about a retired quidditch player but thats all. And then it happened
Wow wow wow thought Moss, the great lake her cousin told her about. This was probably one of the thing she was most looking forward too. Then Moss the noticed the boats. Oh man this is exciting, Moss was awestruck just looking over everything and the next thing she noticed was that there weren't a lot of spot left for her, and again she ran.
Moss ran to the nearest boat that wasn't full and just caught the tail end of their conversation "And actually, Flying classes also sound really exciting. I won't be able to ride while I'm here, but this seems almost even better. Have you flown before?".
Moss cuts in before one of the other girls can answer "No I haven't actually flown yet but i really want to try". Moss sets her thing down in the boat before she gets in. "Oh where are my manners, I'm Moss, Moss Gray. Nice to meet you all"
Sorry it's pretty short, I'm new to rp
