Carson grinned cheekily as the Slytherin mentioned her idea for a dare. Now that was good. It was definitely worthy of a Parker, but he wasn’t that cruel as to make her actually eat it. He cringed a little inside at the idea. “Ah, but it all comes down to what Carson picks,” Fumiko said, glancing at him. “I think that the fish idea is cool,” Carson said, grinning, “Worthy of a Parker, that’s for sure.” He was confident that she’d do it, too: she was Maggie Parker, after all. She’d boasted time and time again that she had never backed down from a dare, and Carson was eager to test that. “Alright Mags,” he called to the girl in question, who was talking and laughing with another group of people on the other side of the circle, “You’ve got yourself a dare.” a smirk grew on his face, mirroring the similar one on hers, “Catch a fish from the Great Lake. I trust your hand-eye coordination in Quidditch will transfer over to this one.” he grinned, challenge in his eyes. He knew that she’d try, and he wasn’t lying about her hand-eye coordination, so he wouldn’t be that surprised if she actually caught one.

It’s not that Min didn’t appreciate the compliment, she just wasn’t used to people calling her “beautiful,” so she never expected it. That’s why it came as a surprise as the girl named Fumiko complimented her eyes. She smiled again as she said she was glad to be her first. ”Thank you,” she said quietly. Oh gosh darn it. Why was she so fricking shy?! She couldn’t even take a compliment. She hugged her knees again and listened as everyone else told how they knew Maggie. She smiled softly at all of them as they spoke. All of them seemed nice. She frowned slightly as she saw another boy that looked like he was in her house almost spit out another bous casserole. The boy must have worked hard on that. She shook her head and focused back on Fumiko. She smiled and shrugged. ”Well, I don’t really have a preference. Whatever is most comfortable for the person talking to me,” she said softly. She had grown up in both Korea and London, so it was always a mix of what people called her. Her Korean friends that were older then her she called ‘oppa’ or ‘unnie’ and visa versa for her younger friends. In London she didn’t really know what to do honestly. She heard the boy named Carson who ate the soggy chip tell Maggie to catch a fish. This would be interesting.

"Oh, I really don't think it would lay eggs in her hair," he covered his mouth as he giggled at the thought. "Not unless it's a louse or something, anyway." As the conversation rolled on, he was content to sit and listen as he idly picked at the blanket underneath him. Fumiko suggested another dare, one that was slightly more tame, involving lipstick and drawing on poor Maggie's face. Though it went without saying that a game of Truth or Dare would involve some ridiculous stunts, most of which were dreadfully embarrassing, Mac couldn't help but feel bad. So far, she could either let a bug crawl on her head, or have her face drawn on with lipstick, which was notoriously hard to wash off.

The girl who had introduced herself as Charlotte scolded Chris - actually, perhaps scold was too strong of a word, seeing as it was the most polite and well-mannered scolding he'd ever seen. "Oh no, it's fine, don't worry," he was quick to interject, his voice quiet and bashful. "I think I may have overcooked it a bit." Two of the party-goers tried a bite of his casserole, one after the other, without any complaint; Fumiko and another young witch, dark-haired and somewhat brooding. The latter of the two had arrived before him, so he didn't know her name. He made a mental note to introduce himself to her once things had calmed down. Fumiko even took it upon herself to try another bite, while the dark-haired girl smiled to herself as she tasted the home-cooked meal. He wondered if they'd only tried it for his sake, but either way, he was grateful for their kind gesture and felt relieved that his hard work hadn't been for nothing. He expressed this with a warm, thankful smile towards the both of them.

The very same raven-haired girl then suggested that Maggie should go into the lake to catch a fish with her bare hands. Mac snorted at the idea. It wasn't too extreme, and it still seemed to be right up Maggie's alley. He knew her well enough that she would fight tooth and nail to catch one, but he wondered if she'd actually be able to do it. It seemed that he would soon come to find out, as Carson picked this dare over the others.

"Go get 'em, tiger," he said to Maggie with a smile, before pausing briefly with a thoughtful look on his face. "Or, um... I guess lion would be a better fit."

Well, it seemed Dan had walked into a truth or dare game. He was hardly new to this game; he and his mates played it all the time at home. He was about to make his suggestion when someone tried a boy's casserole, and then spat it out immediately, and said something that Dan could tell hurt the other.
Dan felt anger rise. If that boy, Chris Madson, if he wasn't mistaken, had said that back where Dan was from, he'd probably have been smacked with the wooden spoon used to make it. Likely hard enough to bruise his jaw.
As it was, Dan had to overly tense the muscles in his right hand to stop himself from taking out his wand and blasting his ass into the lake. As someone who was very interested in culinary arts, seeing someone say and do that about something someone else worked on was deeply insulting.

Dan was not about to let it slide, but instead of an open reprimand, which he doubted would make the boy feel better, he grabbed a chip, dunked it deep into the casserole, and shoved the whole thing in his mouth.
He had no idea what Chris was talking about, this tasted wonderful. Well, maybe not wonderful, but it was pretty good.

"The hell'r ya on about ya gobshite? This is great."
He then turned to the one who made it. "Don't mind that nonsense, ya did fine. I'm Dan, by the way."

Maggie grinned as Carson announced he dare he’d picked. Well, it’d be hard, but she wasn’t going to leave the campsite without catching a fish. She gave Carson an impressed look, “Nice one,” she scanned the crowd of faces around her, “I’ll give the person who made it up extra points for creativity, but you guys are gonna have to try harder than that.” Maggie hoped what Carson said about her hand-eye coordination was true, she could use that right about now. She walked over to the edge of the lake, grinning at Mac when he said, “Go get ‘em tiger,” and then paused for a moment before adding, “Or, um... should I say tiger.” Maggie laughed, “Damn straight, Murphy.” she joked, grinning at her Ravenclaw friend. Maggie walked over the the edge of the Great Lake, looking at its murky water with an analytical gaze not often seen on the Gryffindor’s face. It was gross, she’d give it that, but it was just like the lakes she and he family visited back home. She took of her red, worn, converse and walked right into the lake, water splashing up to her knees as she took giant steps so she wouldn’t step on any sharp rocks. Mud squished between her toes, making Maggis think back to all the times she’d play in the mud with her brothers and sisters after a rainy day. This wasn’t horrible, it wasn’t bad at all. She narrowed her eyes, inspecting the silvery fish flitting around her feet. They were tiny, fast, and reminded her of a Snitch. She crouched down in the water, not caring that her whole bottom half was now soaking wet, and cupped her hands around a school of these miniature fish. They felt weird flapping around in her hands, but it’d do. She walked back to her group of friends, the fish carefully cupped in her hands so they wouldn’t fall out. She showed them to Carson, grinning, and quickly ran back to the Great Lake and put them back into the water. She put her shoes on and sat back down, the bottom half of her overalls completely soaking wet.

Chris was about to say another comment but was cut off by a fellow Irishman "The hell'r ya on about ya gobshite? This is great." said the boy with some attitude. The comment didn't sit well with Chris as he looked at him unamused, his arms folded in a serious manner "Less of the tone lad, this is a party not a playground" he said back to him while everyone else was distracted, a mere chicken casserole wasn't going to cause an argument at the party "Anyhow, it probably wasn't his cooking. The food was probably meant to taste like that in the first place." He added. In his mind he wasn't being disrespectful at all, but instead being honest. If anyone had a problem with him having different taste buds then so be it, not everyone will like a particular food.

And with that, he looked over to Maggie who was searching around the pond for a small fish. She was given the dare to catch a fish from the pond, which in his eyes was quite a hard task. Maggie must of been in the water for a good few minutes before returning, holding a small fish wiggling around in her hands. She showed the group before running back and placing it back safely in the cold muddy pond. The group had put forward some good dares so far, maybe it was time to switch it up. Chris slowly put up his hand, indicating he wanted to go next "Alright then, I guess i'll take my turn. Give me a truth this time.

Kind regards,
Christopher Madson

[quote]“Alright then, I guess I’ll take my turn. Give me a truth this time.” Maggie grinned at Christopher, though she failed to come up with any pressing questions. Dares were really more her specialty, so she was really at a loss. “Alright then Chris,” she said, “I’m gonna leave this one to the public again— I’m not really good at coming up with truths.” she laughed, “There’s a reason I wasn’t sorted into Ravenclaw, people!” she joked, though it was true. The only creativity she had brought itself forward when she was planning pranks or thinking up dares, and this was niether of those situations. She glanced at the sky above, noticing the thunderclouds rolling in, blocking the stars from her vision. It’d quickly turned to a clear and cool Summer night, but an oncoming storm looked like it was about to ruin that. “Make this one good, guys!” she added, “I think it’ll be the last one: we’re gonna get rained on pretty soon.” Maggie was pleased with how the patty had gone, she’d gotten some of her friends to meet her other friends, and she was pretty sure that everyone had a good time, she did, at least, but she might’ve been a little bit biased, now that she thought about it. She’d have to do it again sometime, but there were still a few minutes left to think up a question for Chris, so she had to think of something, or rather, someone else did.

Charlotte chuckled as she saw Maggie proudly show off the tiny little fishes swimming around in her hands, before releasing them back in the lake. She realised that part of Maggie's overall's were soaking wet and shook her head as she smiled.

It was then time for the boy that had critiqued the casserole, named Chris, to play his turn. Charlotte, who had been spectating, thought that maybe this game wasn't so bad after all, and that it wouldn't hurt to play a little.

'Mind if I join in after all, cousin?'
she asked somewhat timidly looking at Maggie. She wasn't very good at the game but she thought it would be weird if she just stayed out of it for the rest of the party.

'I guess I'll suggest a truth…'
her eyes darting between Maggie and Chris.

'What's your biggest regret?'
maybe that was a little too personal, and she would hate to have to answer that question. She cleared her throat.
'Or what to people think of you that isn't true?'
she said nervously before biting her lip and tucking her hair behind her ear.

Great.
Now she had given two dares, and she looked way to eager to play this game. She gulped as she played with the sleeves of her sweater as she waited to see what they were gonna answer… Feeling a little embarrassed, she turned her head to look at the castle, who seemed quite majestic, overlooking the lake and the grounds.

'I'm sorry, I'm terrible at this game'
she laughed slightly as she shrugged, her eyebrows frowned.

”Well, I don’t really have a preference. Whatever is most comfortable for the person talking to me,”
" Ohh~ Really ? " it's probably because they shared the same enthicy ( asian ) but Fumiko felt more complied to talk to Min-seo. She never had someone to talk to about last names before. Not that she never saw another asian/mixed . Chances to talk to them just never happened.

She just have this huge urge to talk about last names with Min-seo and she didn't know why. Perhaps they could talk about it one day.

While Maggie was gone to get the fish, Fumiko frowned at the small argument stirring between Chris and Dan and sighed in disapproval. She didn't need to hear what they said to understand what happened. Not with the glares they sent to each other.

She admit, it was a teeny bit amusing to see them get riled up for such a small thing like casserole and she couldn't imagine Mac's feelings about this.

Was it flattery? Embarrassment? Whatever it was, Fumiko sighed and gave him a pat on his shoulder before pulling her hand back to take another chip.

Just to assure Murphy it was okay. Fumiko saw Murphy as one to be sad if someone was fighting because of him so it should be safe to just give him a pat.

“Make this one good, guys!” she added, “I think it’ll be the last one: we’re gonna get rained on pretty soon.”

" Already ?" she blurted out before she could see the sky herself. " Oh dear.." Maggie was right, an unfortunate rain was about to fall upon them and if they don't hurry soon they'll all be drenched in rain.

Fumiko loved rain and wouldn't mind if that happened but that opinion probably won't be shared with majority of the group.

Plus there was the food to worry about.

She hid her major disappointment well but she decided to express her concerns : " So...Maggie, after this truth, will this party be over? " she sounded worried enough.

It pained her to admit that she was actually enjoying this party. It just felt like there was so many things this party could offer that was far more entertaining than any party she ever went too.

Not to mention Maggie's friends whom she still haven't interacted with much. Actually, no she wouldn't mind not talking to them. It's just that they all intrigued Fumiko in different ways but her irrational fear of making friends halted her curiosity.

She couldn't help but amusingly smirked at Cadunt's choice of questions. " I think it's a rather fine truth " she assured with a smile. Leaning to Cadunt, she tried to speak in a volume that only she and Cadunt could hear :

" Good with making people share their secrets arn't you ~ " of course she meant it in a joking way. This whole game was about either embarrassing yourself with dares of exposing yourself with truths.

She just liked to tease her friends, especially Cadunt with her amusing expressions.

Carson, like Maggie, was running dry on ideas for a “truth”. He liked Charlotte’s second idea, and apparently Fumiko felt the same. Carson grinned at the pair, who were sitting next to each other, and said to Charlotte, “Nice one.”, even though he’d never really talked to her. It was true, though: the question was creative, and he hadn’t heard it before. “How about something like: what house would you be in if it wasn’t your own?” he said, thinking out loud, “Oh! Or something like, do you think the Sorting Hat was right about where you were placed?” he let a smug smile creep onto his face: Carson Miller was on a roll. “What about you guys?” he asked, to no one in particular, “What House Do you think you’d be in if you weren’t in your own?” Carson had an answer himself, but he wanted to get to know some of Maggie’s other friends, they all seemed nice enough, and he wanted to get to know more people before the year ended and everyone went home. He was staying a little bit later than everyone else, though, for Summer Camp. He was looking forward to it, and he thought one of his bunkmates, Tatiana Crane, was here as well...
