Fr. I’d buy a Firebolt but if it only gives you four additional stats and two or three special abilities that are only useful in Quidditch. The Silver Arrow on the other hand gives you eighteen additional stats.

What’s the deal with chocolate frogs? Like seriously, most of the chocolate frogs I have I got for being in the winning house of a certain month. The rest were just people giving them to me because I asked for them.

I think it depends on your personality if you're interested in them? For example, I tend to be a completionist in most games I play, so once I had a few I wanted to get to 100%, and it made sense to me to use my allowances to chip away at it.

However, a completed frog collection usually costs a lot of galleons, as people freely give away bronzes (and often quite a few silvers) but golds are gifted much less frequently so getting all the golds either requires a lot of generosity or a lot of frog opening. I think I was around 1500 cards at completion, and have been giving away as many duplicates as I can ever since.

I'm the same haha the completionist urge is strong. I actually managed to give all my spares away, so I'm at exactly 100% for the frogs, and I haven't opened a single one since.

The thing is, I have 70% of all of the chocolate frogs and I don’t really care about buying them. I mean. Considering that your total wealth is 92 galleons, it might not take that much galleons, but still.

IC Simon would totally love chocolate frog cards, but of course not the chocolate. He’d be the type to complete the collection so I had to do that for him.

Dave just wants to be rich when he grows up so he’d just be happy if he could show off a collection of every broom you could possibly buy at Diagon Alley. Like, it’s not that hard to get every sing chocolate frog. Getting every single broom on the other hand…

10g currently, earned a bit from shop and the daily common room money

I really want to buy stuff but then I remember I have to save up my money haha
