Honestly kim - if you did need help, would you tell me? i am not trying to pry, i am just worried about you and curious really worried. you're the closest friend i have, and i don't want to loose you.
I don't know how i would be able to survive if i didn't see you on a normal basis.
My brothers - they really haven't shown any sign of magic powers, but that's ok. The eldest is dead set on being a firefighter like my/our dad, the next wants to be a doctor, and the youngest wants to bea football player. They might change their careers, the youngest two, but i do think the eldest will become a firefighter.

I won't put myself into a position where I'd need help from anyone. So you don't need to worry about it. I don't like accepting help because it can turn around and bite you in the butt later. I know this from personal experience. I'm sure you'd survive not being around me all the time. You're such a ray of sunshine, there will always be lots of people hanging around you. If only to bask in your sunshine and glory! You also have a lot of friends too. I'm not too worried about you, even if I wasn't in your life, you'd probably eventually forget about me anyway. Ah, a firefighter? Sounds like an interesting profession. It's kind of ironic to know if he had magic, he'd be able to easily put out any fire with a simple water spell....

Or the extinguishing charm. A doctor sounds like a good profession too. Similar to a healer, right? It's something you wouldn't regret doing because it's so useful to you. Football, is that the same football Lucian and Irina were talking about before? The game we tried to play awhile back? Ugh, History of Magic. It's not really one of my favorite classes. Well, it didn't use to be that is. I remember back when June was around, we would hang out together in class and shoot hair bands at people. Those were fun times. There's a new History of Magic teacher now but it's still the same class. I'd much prefer learning about spells and creating things over listening to history lectures. But that's just my personal opinion.

Dear Kim,

sometimes - sometimes its ok to need help. that's something i've been working on myself, asking for help. its ok to need someone, i've learned. even if its just talking to a friend, i know i've been owling Hiro - a foreign student - for months now. he was there when i got the letter from james, and so he knows all about that. its just nice to have someone to confide in. i won't be offended if its not me, but - find someone to talk to.
Kim - i doubt i would last very long without you. Yes i have a million friends, everyone seems to like me - but i will not last long not having someone - you - to talk to, to show the other negative emotions. No one else really sees the other side of me, no one but you. Hiro only hears a small part of it thorough owl, but he will and can never replace you.
If you did leave me, leave my life..... i am scared to see how bad i would spiral. making friendships, having deep connections, and then losing them..... its scary how much that affects me.
He's really cool. And i disagree. I think firefighters are needed - even if magic did extinguish the fire, they would still be needed - the brave brave people who risk their lives daily going into burning buildings - to check the house for people, and for remaining fire sources.
There are so many other things that firefighters do, that no one realizes. Maybe one day i could try to explain it in whole to you! i mean... if you wanted.
Doctor is quite simular to healer, just no magic. Yep, same as what luci and ree played with us. Well.. luci cause ree had to leave.
how can you not love history of magic? i love it, and only partially cause Professor Browne is so cool. I just love history in general, and comparing both magical and muggle history - its so much fun and is so interesting!
anyways, if you don't like history, and don't like flying - and if you can't say Herbology - what is your favorite class. one in the castle, like potions or transfiguration, things like that.

It's good you're branching out and interacting with people outside of Hogwarts. Making connections is an important part of your life. < Bailey's words about making connections and forming relationships, only to lose them made Kim's eyes darken, even though Bailey would not be able to see this. It was what had happened to him with a certain redhead... that was how he'd gotten to this stage in the first place > I would love to learn more about how muggles deal with fires. It's a foreign concept for me, as fires don't really pose much of a threat, as long as you have your wand with you. It's a topic we can speak of later!

I think healers, herbalists and these doctors are important because people will always have health problems. Sometimes I'm interested in history but most of the time I'd prefer to just do hands-on-learning over reading about it. When it comes to reading, I much prefer fiction or instruction manuals. I mean if I'm doing research on how to do something myself, I enjoy it but otherwise... I don't know, it's just not my thing. Ah, my favorite inside class? That's easy, Charms! I love learning new spells and that class is one of my favorites. Defense Against the Dark Arts can also be pretty fun too with the spells.

Care of Magical Creatures is tempting because I love animals. But that's another outside class one.

What about you? What would your choice be? If you couldn't pick History of Magic, what class would you say is your favorite or one of them? Let's say an outside class and an inside class!

i agree!!! though i only have a few friends from outside of hogwarts - i know and am sure you have a ton more than i do. I know hiro, and one more, from ivormony.... i am blanking on his name thought.
I am sure my dad would love to show you around the firehouse, and explain. him and my brother would love that!!! I've mentioned you a couple of times, and they all want to meet you - especially my brothers, which is quite hilarious (to me at least) We can definatly talk about this more later!!!

I agree. i feel like everyone has importance, and if they healers did work closer with the muggle doctors they may be able to learn a thing or two from them. and def vice versa
makes sense - though for me as long as im reading and its not like an instructional manual, i am quite content.
What is your favorite fiction book you've read? do you read muggle fiction or just wizard books?
Charms is one of my top classes as well, for my favorites at least. History of magic will always hold my heart though - i just like history!

an outside and an inside class..... either transfiguration or charms for inside, and does astronomy for outside - does that count? if not.... then probably care of magical creatures. herbology and comc are a little hard simply cause i have to unlearn everything i thought i knew from home, from the muggle world.
ohhh or muggle studies- i like muggle studies as well!!!

Meeting your family would be an interesting encounter, I'm sure. I'd love to see your grandmother sometime too, maybe we should share our thoughts over baking and her vanilla extract! Does your mother cook and bake too? Or your father? Maybe your siblings? Or are your grandmother and you the only ones who do so in the entire family? I've read muggle fiction before but never any nonfiction. I tend to like mysteries, adventure, fantasy, and magic-related ones the most. What about you? You have to unlearn everything you learned from the muggle world? What do you mean? They teach you about this kind of stuff there? Now I'm interested! What do you learn about in muggle classes for them?

Dear Kim,

It would be interesting! i know they'll love you, i am pretty sure they already consider you a part of the family. And my grandmother would love to meet you as well, i mentioned that you loved cooking as well, and she got so excited!!! You should totally come to Poland one summer with me, and I can show you around, introduce you to everyone, show you the countryside, everything!!
My mum bakes, as does my other grandmother. and my dad, he works the grill, and such. my parents cook equally really, but it depends how busy my dad is at work.
My brothers don't love cooking, but they love food and eating. they just don't have the patience to sit down or stand still long enough to make anything.
Same!! any fiction, and honestly i love reading history books and such as well. I don't like murder mysteries or anything too dark, i prefer more lighthearted books.
Unlearn things like that unicorns are not real, magic is fake, potions are not real, stuff like that. the lies that the magicals spread to protect themselves from muggles, well us muggleborns have then ingrained in our minds and then poof, they turn out fake.
In my muggle classes i learned that magic isn't real, there are no living mystical creatures living still, we focused on maths and grammer and writing and history, things like that. typical muggle school!

Ah, summer time is usually busy for me. My parents expect me to always be involved in summer camp each year now, ever since I was part of the planning committee last year. So I couldn't come during summer, unless it's before camp starts. Otherwise, we'll have to meet during Christmas time or after we graduate. You know, you should come to summer camp, you missed the last one! And I was on the planning committee that time too! One of these years, you'll have to come. Unless you want to see me pout and be annoyed at you later. Which I will do!!! So, make sure you come before you graduate.

Your family sounds like fun to me. Unlike mine. You seem like you're able to relax when you're with them. Heh, I'll have to get you to read some mysteries then and scare you! Ahhh, those lies. It's better muggles aren't aware about magic and our existence, or they'd want to take it for their own. And when they discover only certain people carry the gene, those that don't carry it would want to kill us. It's for our own protection to make muggles believe the wizarding world is a figment of their imagination. I used to go to muggle school when I was young, before I was allowed to attend Hogwarts. It was fun.

I liked all the muggle types of things but when I started to become obsessed with them, my parents removed me from the place, homeschooled me for a short time and then sent me to Hogwarts.

Dear Kim,

Summer time is my free time. Time for family, and food, and just resetting my mindset so that i can be the best person i can be during the school year. I understand your parents point of view as well though. My family is just different in their way of thinking, but i am sure all families are different in that way. Maybe one year you won't have to go to camp - or we can make it work before camp starts, that would work too. this year i am going to Poland again, i think i need some family time separate from the gossip and everything of school. With all of the baikim rumors i am sure you understand.
pout all you want, i am going to Poland. You'll understand once you've gone. Its like out of a fairy tale. its just.... magical! I'll pout right back at you until you come with me. We can pout back and forth, and you know i'll win hehe (just kidding though - it would be a tough competition)
I love my family, i def have a really cool family! you'd love them, they are different from your family, but - you'll fit right in!
we'll see... and if you do that, i will get you to read the history of the world. only a fair trade haha
those lies just make it a tad difficult to learn - its hard to retrain your brain.
aww that's no fun!! i have always been homeschooled, i never went to an actual school. i really liked homeschooling, and adjusting to hogwarts was a big adjustment.

Got your letter today and thought I'd send you one back the same day! What you said makes perfect sense. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be part of another family, one that isn't as influential as mine is. Maybe one day I'll be able to go to Poland with you and see for myself what it's like. It would probably have to be after I graduate though, I don't see them letting me not go to summer camp, unless it's for a pureblood reason. What kind of studying and schooling do you do being homeschooled? I know everyone is different, so I'm curious as to what your setup was.
