he giggled at the mice part. ``i doubt mice are that magical anyways, so i wouldn't be to worried bout' them anyways.``


"By the way, why did you get bullied? If it's okay to ask, if you don't want to answer there's no need." He thought about it for a second, but he already new the answer. He wasn't super wealthy , and it didn't help how he dressed. He often or not had mud on his pants from messing around outside, and his shirts were huge. He went to an all boys catholic school, and his uniform always got dirty.``they made fun of me for a whole bunch of stupid stuff. Mostly just me not being as wealthy as everyone else, and i looked a mess most the time. i used to climb trees before school and stuff so my uniform always got all muddy. Eh, i didn't get too bothered when people would make fun of me though.`` He wasn't lying either, he barely cared until people got super physical about it.

``i got punched cause i finally stood up for myself and told the kid to stop taking out his home life problems on me, and he punched me. yeah, maybe what i said was a bit rude but he was a tad bit dramatic, don't cha' think?`` he shrugged. ``Im happy im away from him and that school anyways!`` he smiled.

she smiled a little, "That was really brave of you, you know...I wish I could do something like that. I dealt with it terribly and now I regret all the stupid things I did to try and stop it...It was really bad of me," she said, getting quieter as she spoke and looking down a little sadly.

"I wish I could go back in time and redo it all, you know? If I could go back I would definitely change that...Listen, I don't want to make the conversation dark, but do you mind if I tell you about it?" she asked, looking at him shyly. She was nervous that he'd be bored or annoyed by her talking about all the things that she had went through in terms of bullying, and she especially didn't want to make the conversation all about just her, but at the same time she really trusted Adonis with all of her heart, which isn't something that she did with people often. She wondered if he would judge her in the same ways that the bullies did, but she wanted him to know that she felt safe and open around him. "It's okay if not though..."

he looked a bit in surprise, like his eyes went wide and his head tilt like a dog. He tensed up a little and stopped tapping his foot.``aye, that's what friends do! of course i'll listen! You listened to my excessive story, its only fair.`` Adonis smiled comfortably and stopped moving as much. ``I did say you could tell me anything! i wont judge or nothin'``

It couldn't be that bad afterall, She was nice and had clearly been through a lot since her father died,he wasnt gonna bring that up of course. Adonis is really not one to judge, you could probably trust him with most secrets. He's sorta like a human dog(if that makes sense). He reorganized himself and fixed his hair while he talked, and reorganized his shirt. He worried a bit that he was being to insensitive because he could tell she had regrets and she was nervous. Adonis might have been nervous, but he also knew he had to be there for her.within a few moments his full attention was on lillian, getting ready to listen. he was no longer moving barely at all, except for him playing with his thumbs.

Lillian was slightly surprised that he shifted his attention to her so quickly, it even made her a little more nervous. no one really ever bothered to listen to her that much, so this was new for her. She couldn't tell wether or not she liked it. "Okay, well...Um," she began, unsure of where to start.

"Well, you know...Scotland is not very..Diverse, I suppose. You know, it's mostly, like...White people," she said, feeling a little awkward, "And growing up, there weren't really a lot of people that lived around me that looked like me...Sometimes people would-would mock me for the food that my mum used to give me in a packed lunch..Or they would mock the language my mum spoke to me, things like that. It sounds very stupid, but it made me quite insecure. I just wanted to fit in like the rest of them," she still spoke quietly and began twirling her hair as a nervous habit.

"I started to resent my mum for giving me the food so I asked her to stop...I told her just to speak to me in English in front of people in public..I was always upset with her and she didn't understand why. I feel so terrible about it, even though she has forgiven me. I was rude to my relatives as well. It was so horrible of me...I was just afraid. And the worst part is that people didn't even stop being mean to me." By now, she just looked embarrassed and upset, "I was such a coward," she laughed awkwardly and scratched her head, "but, you know, I'm trying now to accept myself more...Maybe there'll be more people like me at Hogwarts...And my mum is a great cook." she smiled a little, trying to create a happier atmosphere.

He honestly barely could fathom why people would bully her for something like that, but than again people are stupid sometimes and just cant understand. ``i bet your mom is. i'm real sorry you had to go through that, and don't blame yourself. we are just kids after all. Sometimes when we are younger we do stupid stuff that we regret, you were being bullied n stuff after all. `` he scoffed a bit at the fact someone would bully her for something like that. He understood why people bullied him, because he was messy and not well dressed, but lillian couldn't help something like that.

He changed his expression to a smile. ``i bet hogwarts will be so much better. and, if someone bothers you there,`` he put his fists up and chuckled ``i'll beat em up!`` he probably wouldn't hurt a fly , but he could always try. He began to jokingly punch the air a bit, before lowering his fists. ``hogwarts is magical and all, they probably have like..vampires and werewolves! People probably ain't too judgy there.`` he got a bit excited about that. ``dont worry too much!``

She giggled a bunch when he pretended to punch the air, and then again when he mentioned vampires and stuff. "dont worry too much!" He exclaimed, and it made Lillian feel so much better. She was glad that she was open with Adonis, and amazed that he was so easy to trust.

"Thank you, really...It means and awful lot to me that you're so kind." She smiled at him, showing off her pearly white teeth this time. She hadn't smiled with her teeth in so long, it was a rare occasion for her, but it came so easily around him. "I'm very glad I met you, and I really hope there actually are vampires cause I love vampires." she giggled again. Then she sighed and started thinking about her mum again. "You know what, one day when we're off school you should visit and have a meal with me and my family, I think they would like you..Especially my brother and my sister, they would love your hair." She laughed and reached up and stroked his curly ginger hair, "My hair is curlier than theirs and they always wanna touch it and stuff, they'd go crazy if they saw yours." she smiled at him, placing her hands in her lap and holding onto the edge of her skirt.

"Thank you, really...It means and awful lot to me that you're so kind." He blushed a bit and rubbed the back of his head. ``aw thanks. you don't need to thank me for being nice! that's like the bare minimum! `` he snickered. ``i'd probably be scared if i saw a vampire. read bout them in books when i was younger, they all seem pretty mean and spooky! they probably would go straight for me since my hairs so bright. like a bull with a red cape!`` Adonis did a fake shiver like he did with the snakes.

When she touched his hair, He smiled wide back, also showing his teeth. they were not nearly as white as hers but he smiled a lot anyways. His hair was a lot softer and thicker than it looked too. "they'd go crazy if they saw yours." ``Oh gosh that would be jolly. `` he bounced once or twice, his hair following. ``i'd love to meet your family, and i love to eat ,so having dinner with them is a great idea.`` he clasped his hands together with a clap. ``your family sounds so cool too, no wonder you are too!``

she blushed when he called her cool, "Oh no, I'm not that cool...I like reading and history, no cool person likes those things.." She giggled, tucking her hair behind her ears, "My dad is cool though - my stepdad - he fixes cars and he has a really cool vintage car...My siblings are just crazy, not cool," she laughed.

"You know, I think its pretty cool that you can bake and stuff...Having a bakery seems nice, it must smell nice a lot. I'm surprised you don't smell like cakes and things," she said, laughing again. Lillian had never really ever been to a bakery, apart from when her parents were getting married and they had to buy a wedding cake because her mum couldn't be bothered to make anything. She remembered it smelling beautiful but she never ever really went to a real bakery after that. Then she began to wonder what she smelled like. She did wear perfume - manly perfume - and she hoped that she didn't sweat through it, but then she began to wonder if she smelled like a man which made her worry slightly, and it showed as she kept a puzzled look on her face.

Then she realised after a while of being spaced out she must have confused Adonis so she shook her head to come out of her trance and smiled at him, "maybe one day I could meet your family too..Or visit your bakery." she snickered at the idea of sitting in a little bakery and eating cake with Adonis wearing a little chefs outfit, but she did know that it was definitely unrealistic and he probably didn't wear something like that. "Do you wear a special outfit when you bake?" she asked with a giggle, imagining what she was thinking of before, "I think you'd look cute in a chefs outfit."

``being cool doesn't have to do with what you like in my book, so your pretty cool.`` he shrugged.
``your step-father sounds cool too, i love those old vintage cars from the 50's and stuff. ive only seen them in pictures though. ``Adonis wistfully sighed.

Adonis listened to her talking about baking and such and tilted his head.`` I'm surprised you don't smell like cakes and things,`` He laughed. ``you'd be surprised. my entire house smells like a big iced cake with lemon. i usually just help with my mom make cakes, and i make tarts and cookies. my dad makes bread.`` That reminded him of his dads bread. he was probably gonna miss that than actually missing his dad. ``we all work together when we bake for the most part though!`` he smiled.

He noticed she began to space out and politely finished talking. when she suddenly shook her head, he jumped a bit. she mentioned visiting his house and bakery and he snickered.``that would be really nice, but my house is a bit small. we could always bake you something on the house though!`` his house was pretty small, ince his family wasn't very big. his room was one of the smallest in the house, but he loved it.

He got a bit flustered when she said he'd look cute in a chefs outfit and he messed with his fingers. ``i uh, i really just wear and apron and a chefs hat when i work behind the counter. my parents say wearing chefs hats "appeals to the crowd". `` he shrugs and laughs it off.

She giggled, "I don't want to seem rude, really, I can just picture you in it with your little curls sticking out." She giggled again, "I'm terribly sorry," she said, taking a deep breath to try and get over her giggles.

"I don't really care how big your house is, my house is quite small too, but it's okay because my siblings love sharing rooms...I used to live in a bigger house in the countryside but when we moved to the city there wasn't as much space, you know? That's just what the city is like I guess." She shrugged. By now Lillian had definitely realised that Adonis didn't have a lot of money, and she felt a little bad even though she wasn't exactly rich herself. "Well, it's alright if you don't want me to come to your house, you're always welcome at mine. But still I'm never going to judge you for anything like that, the size of your house means nothing to me...Everyone bleeds the same blood," she said with a smile and shrug, wanting to make him feel a bit better. Money used to be a problem for Lillian's family too, so she understood how he felt despite being in a better place now.
