The situation kept escalating, racist terms were being flung across the room, and Nico was quick to shut them down. River admired her, and what she had said at this time. Though, some people seemed to be in situations that would only escalate. River wasn’t too well versed in what had happened, or what the conversation had turned to now. The accident, attacks, provoking dhampirs, a missing person, Aurelia. There was a lot, and River had heard of bits and pieces, but in the end she was lost to thoughts, and left wondering what more had happened. She did not know any of these people particularly well, some she’d never spoken to. It was hard to imagine what all this must have meant to them, but it was clear to see it struck close to certain people in the room.

Emotion stirred the room, making River feel slightly unwell. At this point, she didn’t feel she had much to say. Not wanting to risk making anything worse than it already was. She didn’t have much understanding of what the others must be going through concerning the accident, and eventually people were leaving. Out of emotions, anger, feeling overwhelmed, who knows. It was an overwhelming situation, but it was clear to see there was more going on between some.
As Kit Paine entered, and intervened what was still left of the incident, River felt slightly more at ease. There was a feeling of not being needed left in her stomach. She felt there wasn’t much she could do, and as people left, and turned back to their business, the ravenclaw decided she would too. Knowing this would all be stirring in her mind for nights ahead. She felt she knew so little, understood so little, and that bothered her more than it probably should. She looked to Kit, then Nico, giving them both a ceraful smile, “Should you need anything just call on me”, she said to them both before quietly turning to leave the room behind.
