A WIN FOR GRYFFINDOR
Time seemed to slow down a little, the audience hushed as if the world was focusing on the three duellists on stage.
@Opeila Winters, aflame by her own spell, knew she wouldn't be standing much longer if she ignored the flames, or maybe she just couldn't stand the pain. She made the same choice Dee would have, aiming her wand at the fire and extinguishing herself.
That move cost her, however. Although Galton did not look like he would last much longer, the Gryffindors both decided to go on one last full-out attack. Both the Wind Jinx by @Meenauh Silmataurea and the expertly cast Knockback Jinx, diminished in its power but dangerous enough, from @Galton Lansdale's wand came flying at her, and Opeila was too slow to dodge. For a moment, it looked like she might at least be able to avoid Galton's spell, but there was really no way to run. Both spells hit her, knocking her backwards, and Opeila lost consciousness in that moment, the wind from Meenauh's spell still swirling around her.
"Stop!" Dee called, hopping onto the stage, healers following right behind her. Opeila wasn't moving, the result was clear. "Gryffindor wins." At least there was no fire anymore, she thought as she gave the healers the signal to take care of the Slytherin girl, and turned towards Meenauh and Galton, a slightly tense smile on her face. Galton was visibly approaching his limit - Dee waved another healer forward to check on him - and Meenauh was slightly singed. No one could claim that Opeila and Adonis hadn't put up a good fight.
Dee loved duelling, she did, but that didn't mean she wasn't aware of the pain it caused. She'd experienced it herself, after all. "Congratulations. That was an incredible match," she told both of them sincerely, her eyes flickering towards Galton. "Teach me that neat trick with the splitting spells, will you?"

Group E: Gryffindor vs Slytherin
The fire destroyed Opeila's last concentration. She only managed to put it out, when she saw the two spells flying in her direction.
Her heart pounded when the Slytherin pulled up her arm in a reflex, the already familiar panic boiling up in her stomach with the knowledge that this would finish her off.
If Opeila wasn't unconscious when the two spells hit her, she was when her head met the floor with a muffled noise.

Group E: Gryffindor vs Slytherin
She was really meaning it when she sent the Wind Jinx her way — maybe it would extinguish the fires on @Opeila Winters. But it seemed @Galton Lansdale was faster, or that spell was travelling faster. Anyway, Opeila seemed to take care of the flame herself, but lost too much concentration on it and the next moment the sound of a body hitting the floor signalised the end of the duel. Oh, wait, no, that was the call from the moderator — sounds from the outside of the stage started to blend in. It seemed that the whole duel happened in a sort of bubble where only they and their opponents cast their spells.
"Thank you," she nodded to @Dealla Prince in appreciation. Despite the seemingly 'easy' fight, Slytherin gave it a shot and the shot reached them anyway. She patted Galton, showing him the way to the healers, "Good job, partner, you need some rest. Really, good job!" she would sincerely congratulate Galton and touched a slight singe on her arm. She couldn't call it a hard-earned victory, but she wasn't overly happy with it. Something inside was hurting more than the singe. She hated hurting people, even though they tried setting her on fire. She never used nasty spells or fire to win. There were non-overly-dangerous spells that could be used. Yes, wizarding kind was stronger and tougher by default, but it didn't mean the children had to hurt each other. She hoped both Adonis and Opeila understood it was a competition, but she still considered reaching out to them at some point later.
At least Gryffindor would be happy to have a few more points to the team. That was worth it.

Group E: Gryffindor vs Slytherin
"Gryffindor wins."
Galton's grip on his wand relaxed, almost letting the sleek piece of wood fall to the ground. It was a relief to hear those words ring out through the air. Not just because they won, but also the prospect of clear sinuses and a stable stomach. Compared to last match however, a bad stomach and dripping nostrils had let Lansdale off easy. It seemed that even his partner, @Meenauh Silmataurea was worse off, a too familiar burn marks adorned her arm. With all that heat the pair had been flinging it was finally returned to one of them. But Glory and Might had prevailed, as he knew it would.
With healer in tow the standing pair spoke with their ref @Dealla Prince. With her congratulations Galton would raise small arms and flex his muscles. Though he only had tiny arms, he needed to look cool, he needed to look glorious. The energy from winning made him momentarily forget his curse, which reared its head when he got his arms bent inwards. His mouth bulged a bit as he fought to contain the fluid set on escaping.
He was sure he had made it unnoticeable...
He joined his partner in her thanks to Della, adding a chirpy " 'eah! Thanks." to the end. And then Della expressed some curiosity in Galton's spell splitting ability. A new fan perhaps?
"Oka-ay, so umm, we need some rain and a cat and an umbrella..." He pondered what she had said a little more and threw in a smile. That seemed like everything you would need to split a spell right?
"Good job, partner, you need some rest. Really, good job!"
He turned to his partner, Meenauh the Mighty. "Rest? Okay but first we need to get a snack. I'm a bit hungry... You did great too! Guess that practice was worth it." Galton hoped dinner would be good today, he defiantly worked up an appetite. Maybe they could even eat with the pair of snakes laying across the dueling platform.
