Winter Memories pv Logan Baird finished

Henry watched his father leave the room with Logan's before turning to his best friend, a relief spread over his face since he was glad that he was no longer in the same with his father or about to get questioned by him either as he thought he heard footsteps going up the stairs and wonder if it was Annabeth but turned her attention back to Logan as he spoke " no you didn't do anything wrong Logan. From the looks of it he likes you, just I normally don't talk about him and he knows that which is why he was taken back," Henry smiled at his best friend since that was the truth he rarely spoke about his father since he was almost never around so that statement he figured was odd to his father.

Henry didn't care if they were late to dinner, he enjoyed being with Logan as he looked around the family room before saying " your family room is nice Logan, uh I don't know if you saw but I set your gift for you on the couch outside with the others. Is that alright or should I move them in here?" Henry asked her as he enjoyed the quiet and calmness of the family room with his best friend.

"It wasn't a lie," Logan muttered as she started to make her way towards the door of the room, "You have spoken highly of him on some occasions." It was partially true, Henry had said some good things about his father on occasion, it wasn't like Henry constantly spoke poorly of the man and said he hated him. Logan stopped at the door and looked at Henry with a smile on her face at this point. She was going to try her best to make a good impression no matter how hard she had to try.

"We can get the gifts after dinner, the worst that is going to happen is Sherlock throws them off the couch. Now let us get to dinner before I get in trouble for trying to skip out." She waved at her best friend to get him to follow her as she opened the door and made her way out and down the hall. She headed straight instead through the entrance hall and stopped at another door on the opposite side of the house. "Smile, they are all going to be watching," Logan told the boy with a grin on her face as she threw the door open to the dining room.

Henry laughed a bit and jokingly rolled his eyes before replying to Logan, " sure I spoke highly of him once or twice. If it was a competition through on who spoke more highly of their father then you would win for sure robin," Henry shook her shoulder playful before following her out of the family room and down the hall when he heard his best friend again.

" Maybe he'll be to focus in the food? Loki won't but isn't Sherlock food motivated so he might," Henry commented to her before coming to a halt at the door to the dining room he thought and nodding toward his best friend as he spoke " let's hope this doesn't end in chaos then," Henry would then step inside with his best friend to find his older brother already changed like him in a semi formal wear still helping Logan's aunt set the table and prepare dinner.

Henry would glance at the girl and give her a side smile before glancing over toward his father who was already talking to Logan's father again something that didn't surprise Henry when he then saw Annabeth in the corner of the room with the twins; Alexander and Rorik whispering among each other which made Henry both concerned and happy that he couldn't hear them.

"I'll get everyone to snap before the night's out just stick with me," Annabeth would whisper to the two before looking around and adding with another whisper " Alex during dinner I'll whisper the first stage to you and Rorik wait for my signal," She would cross her arms then and a thin smile appeared on her face.

Meanwhile Henry would point at his older brother while speaking to Logan " that's my brother, Arthur. Come meet him robin, trust me he'll love you," Henry would take the few paces toward his older brother before speak to him " Hey Art, do you think your can stop for a moment?"

Henry would watch his brother set a plate of food on the table before turning to his younger brother with a smile as he spoke " yeah sure, what is it merlin?" Henry would give Logan a quick smile when his brother said his nickname before making the introduction between the two " Logan this is my brother Arthur and Art this is Logan; my best friend," Henry would smile a bit as Arthur spoke as he held out his hand " nice to meet you Logan, my brother told me good things about you before."

The twins looked at Annabeth with grins on their faces as they listened closely to everything the girl said. They couldn't wait to make their father angry, let alone seeing Logan snap as she didn't do it often. "Let's do this." Alex muttered as he made sure no one was listening to their conversation. Rorik just nodded in agreement to his brother.

Logan smiled at Henry as she walked into the room after him. She could see her aunt setting plates on the table and every once in a while she could see the tip of a silver tail poking out from under the table. She was sure Loki was with Sherlock, who was most likely waiting for someone to drop food on the floor. The young Hufflepuff was sure the cat was more like a dog than she thought before. Logan could see the twins and Annabeth in the corner of the room, but decided to ignore them. She honestly didn't care what they were doing at this point.

She quickly turned her attention to Henry as she realized he was talking to his brother. Logan smiled at Henry nervously before turning back to Arthur. "It is nice to meet you as well, Charm... I mean Henry, has spoken highly of you as well. " Logan shook Arthur's hand with a smile on her face as she looked at Henry. "I would like to know what he has been saying about me when I am not around if you wouldn't mind telling me later." The Hufflepuff's eyes glinted with slight mischief as she glanced at her best friend. She was going to have so much fun with this.

In the corner of her eyes, she could see Sherlock climbing up onto the table. Quickly she stepped away from the pair, "Don't even think about it!" She snapped as she grabbed the cat before he could make it to the plates of food on the table. In response the cat growled in frustration.

If anybody looked in the corner then they could see that Annabeth has taken a liking to the two identical twins, specifically Alexander since her arm was around his shoulder but both as she whispered " wait for my signal then let the fun begin." Giving the two a smile before peering up at the rest and looking at something or thinking about something at that.

Henry couldn't help but smile as he stood between his older brother and best friend before watching Arthur shake Logan's hand and hear his reply " Thank you and sure I could tell you after dinner if you like then?" The brothers shared a smile before getting their attention stone by Sherlock and Logan. After the incident with Sherlock, Henry watched Loki walk in with a treat or two in his mouth that he dropped in front of Sherlock before going to sit down next to Henry.

Henry bend down and starched behind his cat's ears as he spoke " where did you get those uh?" before standing back up and feeling his brother playfully push his shoulder a bit before wrapping his arm around Henry's shoulders as he heard him spoke " those two cats seem like quite a pair. Have they got into the Hogwarts kitchens yet?"

The twins grinned at each other as they glanced over at their sister, who was talking to the two Knight boys. They couldn't wait to make everyone snap and they really wanted to know how Logan was going to react, since she was the one to have planned everything out for the day. Alexander grinned up at the girl with her arm around his shoulders, happy they were getting attention for a change.

Meanwhile, Logan stood smiling at Arthur. "That would be wonderful actually." She could not wait to find out what Henry had been saying about her to his brother, someone she knew he was extremely close to. Looking down at Loki, Logan sighed as she allowed Sherlock to jump out of her arms so he was able to eat the treat Loki had brought for him. "You are going to get fat Sherlock," she scolded the cat as he only flicked his tail and trotted over to sit beside Loki and Henry. "Traitor," she muttered with a grin on her face as she turned back to listen to Arthur carefully.

At the thought of the pair of cats getting into the Hogwarts kitchen, Logan laughed. "Not quite sure if Loki had gotten into the kitchen, but I know Sherlock has gotten in there on multiple occasions. I am still not quite sure how he manages to get in, but he does." She could remember the day that she couldn't find the curious cat, but when she did, he was covered in what looked to be cocoa powder and carrying a cupcake. She never found out how he got in their, she could only assume he snuck in when other students went in to get food.

The Knight twins seem like polar opposites since Henry was more of the quiet book worm type opening up to friends and his brother while Annabeth was the rebellious rule breaker type who didn't care what others thought of her and did what she wanted. As she smiled at the identical twin boy's keeping her arm tightly around Alexander as she prepared for their plan.

Henry however was in the middle of a conversation with possibly his two most favorite people ever; his best friend Logan Baird and his older brother Arthur Knight. Henry laughed a bit at Logan's comment about Sherlock getting fat as he watched him sit next to Loki before commenting back " I'm sure he's not a traitor, probably just thinking that he'll get more food that way," Henry smiled at the two cat as Loki looked over at Sherlock and leaned on his feline companion a bit.

"I don't let Loki wander around without me especially in the slytherin common room just in case," Henry spoke which was true since bad things seem to happen around the corridors at Hogwarts and in that moment he felt his brother grip his shoulder as he heard his voice " so Sherlock either raids the kitchens or made a deal with the house elf's while Loki sleep in your dorm," Henry shared a smile with Arthur before feeling his brother ruffle his hair a bit as he spoke again "if the cat's cause mischief then the owners do to right?" Henry merely rolled his eyes at his brother in a playful way before speaking almost as a joke " we don't cause that much mischief right Logan? Were perfect students."

Logan listened to Henry and Arthur talk back and forth, and at the mention of Sherlock having a deal with the house elves, she rolled her eyes. "That cat eats enough, the house elves probably offer him food as often as possible. I know Kal does." The Hufflepuff grinned at the mention of the family house elf. He was a kind little elf, someone Logan grew fond of over the years, even if he refused to call her by her actual name.

Logan giggled a bit as Arthur said about her and Henry causing mischief. The brunette knew she didn't cause that much mischief, at school, but she did cause quite a bit of trouble here at the house. "Oh yes, I am a perfect student, I don't cause any trouble." Logan made sure to look at Henry when she said this because she did not say anything about him being a perfect student that didn't cause any issues. She knew there were some things he did in his free time that she did not agree with but chose to ignore.

Before Logan was able to say anything else, her aunt walked into the room with the last dish and a grin on her face. "Time for dinner everyone," Hannah Baird almost skipped to her seat on the right of her brother. The twins made their way to their seats as well, leaving a seat between them for Anna to sit. Logan looked at Henry and Arthur with a grin on her face as Sherlock took off into the kitchen where he knew Kal would have food for him. Slowly Logan made her way to her seat at the table, making sure to not look at her father as she sat down. She could smell the food and grinned at the sight of the food on the table.

At the mention of the house elf both brothers would turn to look at the creature, Henry definitely more interested than his older brother until he would be distracted and turned to Arthur who would say "since Sherlock is motivated by food does that mean he's ready to train. But I have my own struggles with pets and house elf's which is why I asked, a friend of mine also in auror training whom I'm living with has a house elf who I think enjoys feeding Sandy extra even through I tell him not to," Arthur would roll his eyes a little as Henry leaned over to Logan and whispered to her "Sandy is his female barn owl," giving her a quick smile before the conversation continued on.

As the topic move to causing trouble, Henry let out a bit of a laugh toward Logan's comment and gave her a look but didn't say anything since he didn't want her family to know what sort of trouble she got into at Hogwarts. Henry would then feel his hair being ruffled and a playful shove form his brother who said " so Logan is the voice of reason while Henry causes the trouble right?" Henry rolled his eyes a bit as a smile escaped from his lips before playfully putting his hands up and saying " I don't cause that much trouble thank you," the twelve year old would then out his hands down and push back his hair before saying again " well you took most of the things at Hogwarts and I have to leave a legacy somehow," sharing a smile with his brother who gave a small smile before speaking " I don't think causing trouble counts as a legacy to begin with and I didn't know that my past as a prefect and head boy was so demanding of you brother."

Henry was about to reply but that was when Logan's aunt entered and announced dinner, Henry looked around the table and suddenly felt out of place way the family dinner. As Annabeth took a seat between the identical twins letting last of her fall in front of her and sit on her shoulder before leaning over and whispering to Alexander, "in a soon minutes we'll have some real fun Alex," she would then look over to Rodrick to ensure that he didn't start their plan yet.

Luke took the seat on the other end allowing Henry to question in his head while he then took a seat next to Logan after watching Loki run after Sherlock into the kitchens. Arthur then took an seat next Henry and what he thought was the last empty chair allowing Henry to look up and down at the table wondering what they did now before they ate as he looked toward Logan.

Logan laughed at the thought of Sherlock being trained. "He can probably be trained, but more people feed that can than I have control over. I swear, that cat knows more people at Hogwarts than I do." The last statement was mostly true, as Sherlock was more outgoing than his rather quiet owner.

Sitting in her seat, Logan glanced over at her father for a second before looking back over at Henry. Adam Baird watched everyone take their seat at the table, watching his daughter with a fond smile on his face for a second longer. "I would like to thank you and your family for coming today. It is not often that we have guests over. I hope in the coming days our families become closer and continue to stay friends. Please enjoy." He quickly lifted his glass of wine and took a sip as his sister started to point out what all foods their were.

"Oh I do enjoy having you here with us today. I made roasted turkey and ham, roasted potatoes, roasted parsnips, honey glazed carrots, stuffing, red-wine gravy, and bread sauce. If you need anything, don't be afraid to ask." Hannah Baird had been excited to get the chance to cook for so many people. Most days it is only her and the twins as Adam worked late and Logan was at school. Family dinners were not much of a thing now days that everyone was so far apart from each other.

Logan laughed a bit at her aunt's excitement as she reached to start putting food on her plate. "You shouldn't die or get food poisoning, the food actually looks edible for once." Logan whispered to Henry with a grin on her face. There hadn't been any accidents with fire as it seemed and it actually made Logan happy for her aunt, as she was trying her best to make everyone happy.

Alexander and Rorik grinned as they started to pile food onto their plate. Alexander shoving it into his mouth almost immediately after it hit his plate, while Rorik waited a bit until all of his food was on the plate to start eating. Both boys were excited for what Anna had planned, as it wasn't often they got to actually have fun. Logan was at school most of the time and they were no longer allowed to sneak off to the muggles down the road, so it wasn't like they got to spend much time with other people.
