The one pale haired girl seemed tense but willing to listen to the professor as she left. Kateri felt relieved the girls hadn’t pressed her as to her decision to send them back to their respective dorms, however one seemed to linger behind. Kateri gazed down at the young girl hesitating after her peer had left. As the girl spoke up, Kateri couldn’t help but feel for her. In the young woman’s short time at Hogwarts she already had seen things happen that surely were effecting them all in different ways. Having dealt with her own demons, she offered a kind smile to the girl and lowered her arms.

"I am happy you two could confide in one another.. in truth I did not want to interrupt earlier. However, if you should need someone please do not hesitate to come to me." If allowed, she would place a hand gently on the girl’s shoulder as a form of comfort. Typically she would never cross the line of physical contact with students but Kateri also knew often there were times that arose where something as simple as a small touch of connection could do more than a simple string of words. "You can always find me here, should you need me. For anything, anytime.” She would remove her hand from the girl if it had been set on her shoulder before watching her dart from the room.

Kateri stood in the classroom, eyes still cast in the direction of the now absent students. She hoped they would find peace somehow even if it meant a return visit to the tower, during office hours of course. Drawing in a long breath and holding it, she settled back into the space of the empty classroom deciding that perhaps she would check in with the young redhead later on.
