Application for Part-Veela:

Reducio
Ombeline was born without knowing her mother; all she knows is that she was a Veela. From a young age, she knew that she, too, was part-Veela, but unfortunately, she despises it more than anything. She hates her hair, her eyes, and everything that makes her attract others. She doesn't want any of it! She wants to be free, not like this! The young girl never thought about what being part-Veela could bring her; she only saw the negative, the unbearable! For a girl who would have preferred to be a boy, all of this is unacceptable. She just wants to live the way she wishes!

But this part of her might actually help her uncover information about her mother and learn more about the hidden side of her family. Over the years, Ombeline will start to see this as a valuable asset. She will come to recognize it and find herself. She will realize that it’s this very gift that will free her from her bitter thoughts. She will liberate herself and start living. Discovering who her mother was will bring laughter, tears, joy, hope, regret, and trust in others—yes, all of that! If you accept her as she is, I will be able to write this story and turn her into an extraordinary witch! Maybe only a half-witch, but she will still be one.

She will also discover why her father never talks about her mother, why everything is kept secret, and why she attracts people. Because, yes, she didn’t know that having a Veela mother means being part-Veela herself! I ask you to accept my application, which I’ve written with great difficulty as I am not a native English speaker and still young!

In appearance, she is very pale and tall for her age, attracting people like flies. Later, being able to use her charm will be very useful for her since she won't be particularly good at magic, sports, flying on a broomstick, etc.

And then, this connection will bring her closer to her mother and the other side of her family, rather than just clinging to her father, who is only a Muggle! She will become proud of it, adapt better, and be able to make friends more easily. She’ll be able to use cunning, set traps, and do all sorts of things like that! In short, she’ll be able to live fully and not just stay in her bubble, doing nothing but training, because that wouldn’t be an enjoyable story to develop! It would be very boring! In fact, being half-Veela will bring out everything in her—even maybe her tastes and desire to write and keep a journal, which I plan to create.Ombeline will also manage to have a real life, detaching herself from the fact that her father doesn’t love her and that she has only one friend—yes, just one (perhaps because of her personality). She will learn to love this part of herself, just as she will learn to love others. Here you go, that's all from me!

Character Backstory:
Reducio
Ombeline doesn't know her mother. She left when she was born and her father never talks about her, but she knows her name is Dana. Her father's name is Lukas and he's a lawyer. He rarely takes care of his daughter, their relationship is bad and Ombeline hates him.

All her grandparents died before or shortly after her birth. She has no friends except Jack, her childhood friend who understands her, but he's not a wizard. On her father's side, she has no aunts or uncles, and knows nothing about her mother. In short, she lives in solitude.
Her father is poor, and she lives with him in a small apartment building. At school, the children make fun of her because of this, but she doesn't care.
She's been practicing karate since she was a little girl, which enables her to defend herself in case of trouble, and she also knows how to do a bit of judo. She's been listening to rock music since the age of 5 and likes it a lot.
She's had a cat since the age of 6 and loves it very much; it's very difficult to feed, like her.
She's mean to everyone, but more athletic than some boys.
She has never left her country of birth and has rarely traveled, as her father has neither the money nor the time for it.

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
She discovered her magic one summer day. She threw a book on the ground because her father still wouldn't say anything about her mother and the book caught fire; he burned a small child's stuffed toy, which she had to repair.

Wren grew up with a fairly rich family, her dad is an adventurous wizard who works with magical creatures and travels a lot. As a helpful advantage to his job he is a trilingual who knows German and French along with his main language English. He also taught Wren so she knows a bit German and French as well. He is also very good at flying and is interested in Quidditch which was another thing that inspired Wren as well. They went to lots of quidditch matches together and it caused Wren to aspire to be a quidditch player, and that became her biggest dream. Even though they dont spend too much time together Wren grew up to want to be more like her father.
Her mom is an author who wrote many successful magical and non-magical based books. Wren spend more time with her mother as her dad was busier with all the traveling. She was a kind and smart woman and got along well with her daughter.

But overall they didn't spend too much time together as a family because both of Wren's parents were busy people with busy lives often. That's why Wren always felt disconnected from them.
She grew up with some friends but she never felt like she had best friends as she felt like other kids didn't get her and she didn't get them either. She thought most people were too shallow or boring. And the only consistent friendships she had were comfortable at best and they actually had many fun moments together but deep inside Wren felt like she could have something more..

First Instance of Magic:
Reducio
Wren's first instance of magic happened unexpectedly when she was 8 year old. She already knew she was a witch because of her parents but never showed any magical signs before that. Until one day, when her dad was traveling for his job's purposes and her mom was in her room in the process of writing her second book for the wizarding world, Wren was alone in her own room playing a game. As she was playing her mother called her outside the door and asked if she was doing her homework. Wren immediately realized she forgot the notebook she was supposed to write her homework in at her school. But when her mother entered her room, the notebook was on the desk unexpectedly.

Character Backstory:

Ophelia was born in a rich family. Her mother, Nóra Byrnes, is an Irish wizard, who come from a rich family of Purebloods. She made the dreadful mistake of falling in love with a Muggle, and then marrying him, which was even worse. She now doesn't speak with at least half of her family, but she has managed to keep good relations with some of her relatives. Her father, Andrew Thomas, is a Muggle who was stunned when learning that her lover was a wizard - he is in fact stunned every day, when seeing his wife perform any kind of magic before him. He had the good taste of being as rich as Nóra - if not richer -, which allowed him the right not to be ignored by absolutely all the members of his wife's family.
Both were very much in love, until the weren't, and by the time they reached thirty-five, all love between them seemed to have gone away.

Ophelia grew up in a large house, where not much of the space was actually used, since she was the only children in her family. Her parents had her at a very young age, and her mother then had two miscarriage, before deciding she was never again going to fall pregnant. The little girl was raised with great expectations, but not with much love, since her two parents were not at ease with physical and verbal shows of affection. There was always something going on in the house, some ball held or some guests invited over. She was taught at a very young age to be silent, and to observe how things unfolded under her eyes ; and only when she understood that every act, every word, had a purpose that was she allowed to speak.

Though she sometimes followed her dad in muggle cities, she always has been surrounded by magic. She could see her mom doing basic tasks using her wands, or magical objects ; her mirror was talking, her at-home teacher was a wizard, her quill wrote words on its own, and after all, she always considered herself a wizard more than a muggle.

First Instance of Magic: It happened on a cold Sunday, the winter of her fourth year on Earth. The sun was pale, and hidden by menacing clouds which covered the sky. She desperately wanted to go outside, but she couldn't, as heavy rain poured down from the sky. She opened the front door of her house, just to see how much it was raining ; but the wind was strong, and as soon as she opened the door, she was drenched by the water brought by the gusts. She closed the door as quickly as she could, but she was still completely soaked... Or was she ? Might have been the surprise, might have been the sadness of having to show her parents her wet dress, but she became weirdly dry again.
Thank you for your time !

- Your character's first instance of accidental magic plays around with the weather making it rain harder when she goes outside to check the weather. Remember that your character is a child who just experienced magic for the first time no matter their initial blood status. Your character is not able to change the weather. This is considered too powerful. If your character was able to do something so powerful, it can harm them physically and mentally. Please find a different magical reaction that is realistic for your character's age.

He is the youngest of three boys, the oldest have gone off to study, while the second oldest is what one would call "high school jock". He was close with his brothers, but after the second eldest went to high school, he grew cold and distant. Something that Curtis wasn't too aware of or know why so. But after that he dreads the thought of going to high school, and ending up turning up just like his brother.

As the youngest, he receives of course, the most attention from his parents, the teachers and other parents have a good impression of the boy, he is known to generally help his other classmates no matter what it is. But at the same time, that sometimes accidentally get him into trouble when the other kids have some ill intent. His parents are well known within their community, the mother being a local dentist, while his father rarely interact with the other parents, in which he is often known as the 'stay at home dad'. Though if asked, it would be revealed his father is an software engineer that often works from home.

Whilst his brothers either succeed in sportsmanship or education, he hasn't found his yet.He has tried out almost every club in school but find no connection- though he had fun and wasn't the worst- he generally more enjoy hanging out with other classmates rather than the actual activities that he was meant to be doing.

Though unlike his brothers- he's willing to give everything a try. Including magic. Being the only sibling out of the three to be enrolled into Hogwarts he was thrilled (and much to the surprise of his muggle parents). This however, have driven his relationship with his second brother further apart, who doesn't respond to his owls. Regardless, Curtis believes this will be an excellent adventure away from home, and with the idea of going to Hogwarts- his plans of avoiding Muggle High school can rest easy.

It was at a young age of 4, where he was playing with the family cat, when the toy mouse came to life. Well, came to life may be an overstatement. It started moving on its own, though the parents at the time did not witness such activities, and if it was seen from a glance, it was thought that young Curtis was throwing the cats toy that day, playing with their family pet.

First Instance of Magic:
Daisy was 7 when she first knew she had magic. One night around midnight Daisy was dreaming about the moment that she and her parents went on a trip to Scotland to visit family. On that holiday she had a lot of fun with her parents. She played a lot with her nephews and nieces. They even went to a water park which was so much fun that she will never forget it. Daisy woke up from her dream very happy but that changed when she looked around and saw all her furniture flying in the air. The first thing she did was shout at her parents and she did that very loudly. After a minute her parents came walking into her room and they saw the furniture flying. Daisy looked at her parents and saw that they were happy. They explained to her that this is good because she now has magic. She was very scared at first but after the explanation that her parents did she was happy that she finally has her magic.

- Your character is a Pure-blood, which means that their education is either home-schooled or with a tutor. They do not attend schools the same way that muggles would. Change your character's first instance of accidental magic to reflect this.
- We would like to see more information of home life. What do your character's parents do for a living as Pure-bloods? Does your character have any siblings? You have reached 220 words (which is the minimum number of words for your bio), but it does not hurt to really expand your character to ready them for roleplaying.
- First instance of accidental magic is not accidental. It is, instead, intentional. Accidental magic is unintentional and can happen for one of three reasons: it just happens, it happens in response to danger as an act of self-preservation, or it happens in response to a strong emotion. This event must be prior to age 11 and it must take place in Wales, England, Ireland, or Scotland. Please describe such an incident of accidental magic that happened to your character as well as their age when it happened. What emotion did they feel and how did they feel when it was happening? How did they feel after it happened? How did your character's parents react? Some examples of accidental magic are setting a hat on fire when angry, falling from a great height with no injuries, or randomly sneezing bubbles.
- Content must be the same between this application and your character's encyclopedia. Any changes you make and write on here need to also be there. Please be sure to keep information consistent.
- Nothing to edit, just an FYI. Your character cannot bring this pet to Hogwarts. We have a pet system that involves using the currency that you earn on-site to purchase a pet, which is something you can explore afterwards.

She has always greatly appreciated animals and her parents' profession, she would also like to become a Magizoologist.. She also appreciates music and plays the piano in her spare time , she does very well with music. Hashline is the second child and big sister of little Elvara. She therefore grew up both as a little sister under the supervision of the whole family but also as a big sister with a lot of responsibilities. His big brother, Damian, 6 years older than him, was sorted into Slytherin and plans to move to London for his studies. He has a boyfriend (but few people know that). calls Silas and comes from Wales. They will settle in a small house in London during the summer of 2027. Once she calmed down, her parents explained that it wasn't serious, that it was just her magic making its first appearance.

- A request to change your character's residence has been done.
- Your character is a Wizard-born, which means that their life is focused within the Wizarding world and not necessarily the muggle world. It is highly unlikely that they would be meeting muggle twins, unless there was a reason such as visiting family that is from a muggle-born or half-blood (with a muggle grandparent) parent. Please state your character's parents' bloodlines to determine this.
- Your biography states that Hashline's big brother takes care of Hashline and Elvara. This is highly unlikely. We need to know that there is a parent or guardian of adult age that takes care of the children. Damian can be there for his sisters, but cannot literally take care of them. We assume this considering there has been no writing about the character's parents.
- We need more information on Hashline's parents. What their bloodline status is and what do they do for a living?
- We need more information on your character's first instance of accidental magic. As a whole, we need to what emotion they felt during the given scenario, their reaction during and after, and the reaction of any other witnesses (preferably parents or those with magic as it gets messy with muggles). With more context, your character's first instance of accidental magic will not look intentional as it does now.

Character Backstory: Born in the Year of the Snake into a loving family, Maya grew up in a standard middle-class household in Bristol, a picturesque city in southwest England. Her mother, of Chinese descent, was a talented Charms professor in a specialized school with a deep appreciation for conjuration and transfiguration in general; that is, until she settled down with Peter, her Muggle husband, who was quite the handyman as a civil engineer. The couple has been blessed with Maya and her younger brother, Leo, with whom she shares a strong sibling bond and common interests, with a hint of occasional mischief. Although he has yet to exhibit signs of magical ability, the two share an unspoken pact to protect each other's secrets; a friendship for life.

The Cho (or Zhao) family owns a small historic townhouse on the outskirts of Bristol with a small yet charming garden. As with anyone else in her family, Maya leans into her maternal heritage as she celebrates a mix of British and Chinese traditions; something her mother often enhances with a magical touch.

Maya is bilingual (though her Cantonese could always use some work!) and a half-blood. As such, she often finds herself trapped in the middle of these two vastly contrasting worlds. Despite any presumptions that come with magic-wielders, Maya's father is often praised in the family's immediate circle for being open-minded, and has been supportive of his daughter's unique abilities.

Since her instances of accidental wandless magic, Maya's academic experience became increasingly complex, and attending a Muggle school had definitely been a key contributor to that. In order to protect the secrecy of a world beyond, she was to avoid situations where her powers might inadvertently be exposed at all costs. This consistent vigilance created a sense of isolation, as Maya felt unable to fully express herself. As such, she found solace in unorthodox hobbies, including sketching enchanted scenes from her dreams.

Learning about the existence of a secondary school dedicated to special students like herself, Maya was ecstatic to be able to rid herself of constraints that held her back from expressing herself.
First Instance of Magic: For one of her primary school photos at the age of 6, Maya had gotten herself a haircut that she was quite fond of; shorter than usual, draped down to shoulder-length and decorated with a classic blue bow. However, this didn't last longer than two nights, as it almost immediately grew back to its natural extent. Since then she has not been able to replicate this particular yet strange occurrence, whether knowingly or otherwise.

Character name (First and last name): Lilith Harlow

School Year or Adult Level: 1st

Does any Profile Card info need changing? Possibly change Lilith’s nationality to match the place she was born please

Link to the character page: Lilith Harlow

Character Statistics:
Stamina: 8
Evasion: 4
Strength: 6
Wisdom: 7
Arcane Power: 6
Accuracy: 4

Character Special Race/Talent: N/A

Character Backstory: Lilith was born somewhere in Hungary as a product of infidelity to Valencia Harlow and Marius Thorne (the adulterer), her mother pointedly informed her father that she wanted him to have nothing to do with her and her newborn daughter but after a bit of begging on his part she agreed to let him and her daughter’s half siblings see Lilith every now and then.

Tragedy struck not even 2 years later as Lilith’s mother was tragically killed on the job by a dark wizard who fled shortly after, and Lilith was sent to Ireland to live with her father and the rest of her..family. The reason for her mother being killed was for both her known hatred of the dark arts and her advocation for magical creatures to be treated fairly. She wasn’t killed by death eaters, just by an enraged pureblood trying to make a point, whatever that point may have been. Before her mother’s death, no one could get Lilith to stop talking but after Valencia’s untimely death she only spoke to those she deemed trustworthy, thankfully she is only selectively mute and not overall mute. Her father tried to bond with her as the years went on but his attempts were hindered by Lilith finding out through the whispers of house elves the origin of her birth and how it affected his wife, her step mother. Unfortunately for Marius Thorne it resulted in him no longer being as trusted by Lilith as he used to be.

As young as she was, she knew that cheating on your partner is a horrible thing to do and she focused more on bonding with the woman than she did her father and half siblings. She was fortunate enough to have a very kind stepmother who after some time came to think of Lilith as one of her own, she was even the one to tutor Lilith. As I said before, Lilith is illegitimate and that for some reason causes all but two of her half siblings to steer clear of her.

She prefers to verbally communicate with her stepmother and the two siblings she does speak to but it’s the notepad for everyone else, even the house elves. Her father despite Lilith barely tolerating him, seen her preference of not speaking to house elves as her being overwhelmed by them, leading to him ordering them to not leave her be. As for why Lilith’s father hasn’t gotten her any help for her choice of speaking to certain people, her father did get help but they were very insistent that Lilith just needs time and will “grow out of it”. Despite the way it sounds Lilith agreed with what they said, she just needs time and soon enough, she once again be the curious girl that no one could get to stop talking. But regardless of her and the people who were assigned to help her insisting that she needs time, Lilith and her father compromised on just having one person (female of course), and while Lilith may deny it, she’s found herself growing fond of the woman and her inquisitive nature.

She grew to enjoy running barefoot through the forest behind her house and being around nature in general and her father, wanting to get in her good graces, got her every plant her heart desired. Not long after she turned 11, her hogwarts letter had came and she literally had never smiled so hard before, it looked like the smile was going to split her face in two.

First Instance of Magic: It was on her fourth birthday, one of her older siblings had been making fun of her for being “technically mute” and was ticking her off. She was rightfully agitated at the comments he was making, he is very much aware of her possessing the ability to speak and that she isn’t “technically mute”, only selectively. When she had finally had enough of his taunting, the piece cake he had been holding quite literally blew up in his face. She meant to go tell his mom but it had appeared the problem solved itself. And yes, she did enjoy the rest of her birthday.

- You mentioned that your character was born in Hungary. We can change your character's nationality to that country if you would like. Feel free to let me know and I can make the request.
- We need to know more information about the Dark Wizard and why they targeted Lilith's mother. It seems out of the blue. Keep in mind that Voldemort and his followers (Death Eaters) do not exist anymore.
- Just to understand the dynamic in the home, the stepmother and 2 half-siblings talk to Lilith but the other 2 half-siblings and those who work in the home like house elves do not? Why would the house elves not talk to Lilith if their master, the father and her step-mother, do talk to her? They would most commonly follow suit with their masters.
- Your character's first instance of accidental magic mentions that your character is "technically mute". What does this mean? There's "selective mutism" or just being mute, but that terminology does not exist, nor does that get mentioned anywhere in your character's biography. Please elaborate more on this and why Lilith, a Pure-blood, was not getting the help she needs for this.

Quinn Rycroft seemed to be destined for success from the very beginning. With his piercing slate grey eyes indicative of the surname he bore, high intelligence immediately clear to his childhood tutors, and first instance of magic at the early age of three, he quickly became the poster child of the well-respected Rycroft family. Dating back hundreds of years at Hogwarts and the wizarding world as a whole, members of the Rycroft line were best known for their sharp wit. Largely Ravenclaw, their consistently high marks in magical examinations made many Rycrofts sought-after Aurors, who together created not only a strong image for their family, but also a considerable sum of money. So, as the eldest of his generation of Rycrofts–he had two younger siblings and two cousins–Quinn Rycroft carried quite a heavy yoke, but also stood poised to inherit fame and a fortune.

Clara Lin was easily the top of Oxford University’s graduating class of 2007. Although she may have been a relatively plain girl, only made distinctive by her Asian heritage when standing among a majority of Caucasians, there was no doubt that her intellect was unmatched by that of her peers. Born Jiayi Lin, the younger of two daughters of a Chinese first-generation immigrant family, she spent much of her childhood under the shadow of her sister, the elder by just two years. But when Jiayi’s family emigrated to England one year shy of her secondary school graduation, she knew it was a chance to start over, to make a name for herself–literally. Her highly superstitious parents had named her Jiayi because it signified luck, but Jiayi knew luck wasn’t what she needed. Once given the liberty to select her own English name, she quickly chose Clara–first of all because it sounded pretty, but more so because it meant bright and famous. Clara wanted success so badly she could already taste it, and something told her that her admission letter to Oxford University was her ticket.

Quinn and Clara met seemingly by chance, encountering each other the middle of Oxford University’s Radcliffe Square on a rainy November day. Having recently graduated with high honors from Hogwarts, Quinn had taken to haunting Oxford by day to learn about the Muggle world–the other world he had grown up ignorant of. Now in her second year at Oxford, Clara had just received a research opportunity from her astrophysics professor, shocking her into a giddy daze that made her immune to the raindrops splashing onto her–that is, until she encountered a mysterious hooded young man.

Quinn held an umbrella he did not know how to use, while Clara was fully capable of using an umbrella but did not have one on her person. He was magical, she was a Muggle. He was thriving off of the Rycroft fortune, and she was just getting back on her feet in a new country. The two could not have been more different, but yet their shared hunger for knowledge drew them together, even at the dismay of both sets of parents. The Rycrofts were horrified that their son was not just intermingling with the Muggles, but was interested in one, even threatening to disown him–their precious heir–if he eloped. Meanwhile, the Lins disapproved of their daughter’s hasty actions and worried a relationship would significantly impede her academic career, which had been meteroic thus far.

Still, the pair was undeterred, meeting on occasion to share bits and pieces from the completely polar lives and worlds they came from. Monthly meetings became weekly, then even more frequently, and the two soon fell for each other, each interested in the other person, rather in just their world.

After a couple of year, the two married, their love for each other transcending the great personal cost it came at. Furious at their eldest and most promising son for eloping with a Muggle, the Rycroft parents practically disowned Quinn, largely stripping him of his fortune despite not being able to bring themselves to completely cut contact. Completely gone was the family’s most sacred value of intellect, their wizarding supremacist views blindsiding them as they looked down upon their son and his Muggle love in disgust. The Lins were slightly more forgiving, being willing to tolerate their daughter’s romance despite extreme skepticism. Being traditional Chinese parents, an Auror was hardly an acceptable career for their daughter’s partner, especially since Clara really couldn’t explain what it meant, much less that she was marrying a wizard. Perhaps the only thing protecting Clara from her parents’ anger was the fact that she had completed her undergraduate degree at Oxford with first degree honors, and was already a respected researcher in her chosen field of astrophysics. Still, the Lin parents worried she was squandering her bright future, making the family relations incredibly strained.

Shortly after they married, Quinn and Clara welcomed their first and last child, Athenia Rycroft. Both of them being intellectuals, it seemed only appropriate to name their child in honor of the Greek goddess of wisdom (among her many domains). As Athenia grew, it was immediately clear that she, like her namesake, surpassed her peers in wit, jumping a grade in primary school and consistently emerging at the top of her class.

Although the small family of three had one foot in each the wizarding and the Muggle worlds, Athenia’s parents chose to bring her up largely in the Muggle world. Being an Auror, it was impossible for Quinn to hide his magical identity, but he kept quiet as much as possible, worried about the additional dangers Athenia would face if exposed to magic. However, Athenia was an unusually inquisitive child, and her parents took advantage of this, as well as her intellect. Even before she could enter school, she spent hours accompanying her mother in her Oxford-based research, flipping through heavy physics textbooks soon after she could read and often pestering the students working under Professor Rycroft. Clara also ensured that Athenia read a great deal, contributing to a vast vocabulary and perhaps even to rather concrete opinions for a child. She would share these views with anyone who would listen, or, even better, argue with anyone who disagreed.

As she grew older, her parents’ grip on her tightened, their expectations for the young girl growing out of proportion. They believed it was in their daughter’s best interest–to transform her into the best little scholar she could be–and their own–to perhaps earn back their own parents’ favor–but to Athenia, it was downright cruel. When she wasn’t in school, she was given additional maths work and endless books to page through. Her mother signed her up for a local debate team (which she begrudgingly loved) and chess club. Despite excelling in not only school but also these additional activities, Athenia hated her parents for putting her through these grueling routines. She couldn’t fathom why they could do this to her, all the while claiming they loved her.

Of course, there was no protecting her from the magical world forever, and soon enough, her first instance of magic occurred (see below). Now aged nine, Athenia had gained the understanding that her parents had been keeping something from her. Something big. And she resented them greatly for it. Upset at her complete ignorance about the magical world, she began pestering her father about his job and anything about magic he was willing to share. To her frustration, she understood very little, except that she would attend a magical academy instead of secondary school, trading maths and English for subjects like Charms and Transfiguration–whatever those were.

While Athenia faced her impending entrance to Hogwarts skeptically, her logical mindset still unable to wrap itself around the idea of magic, she couldn’t deny that she wasn’t a little excited. After all, for the first time in her life, she would be miles away from her parents’ expectations.

Athenia and her mother clashed frequently. Whether it was Athenia causing too much chaos in the research lab, failing to understand a concept, or not completing the work she was expected to, her mother was impossible to please. During such an episode when she was nine years old, Athenia had fallen short of her mother’s sky-high expectations once again, sending Clara on yet another tirade. Caught, for once, without a counterargument, Athenia had stormed up to her bedroom, only just entering when the door suddenly slammed behind her. Clara paid no mind, as the door to Athenia’s bedroom was well used to such treatment. However, Athenia was thoroughly spooked. She knew for a fact that she hadn’t laid a finger on the door, so no law of physics could explain how it had simply closed. Even in her young naivety, logic taught her that ghosts did not exist. But then how was this possible? Intrigued, the girl shared the incident with her parents several days later, in response to which they shared a knowing–and unmistakably apprehensive–glance. Something was up–something that would change Athenia’s life forever.

Character Backstory: Her mother is an Auror, and her father is a mediwizard. Her father moved from Canada as an adult because of a job opportunity, and meet her mom as he ended up being the one to heal her after tough days at work often.

Poppy ended up being mostly raised by her father due to her mother being off at work majority of the time. She also was partly raised by the tutor that taught her how to read, write, and basic mathematics.

She made friends with some other wizard kids but she was the youngest in the group. Also seeing the other kids in the friend group have their parents around more sucked. Epically because it felt like whenever her mom was home she was too tired to hang out with her at all. Meanwhile some of her friends were taught by their parents instead of having tutors.

Yet as she grew up and learned about the important work of the ministry, she came to respect her mom for all she does. She still wished her mom could be home more often and have an amazing job, but knowing the reason did help.

Another damper on her childhood was simply the fact that there were no other kids her age around her. All of her older friends showed magic before her, and got their hogwarts letter before her, and left. Her final year before going to hogwarts was the loneliest. All of her closer friends were gone, and she felt like she was babysitting when she was hanging out with her younger friends.

Also her parents have high expectations of her going to hogwarts. She’s the first of her dads side to be going to hogwarts, which means she’s starting the Lytle legacy and that’s no light feat.

First sign of magic: she was climbing a tree when her friends, when one of her friends fell down and was hurt (just some bruises but kids can be very overdramatic so Poppy was worried). She asked where it hurt and then slapped the area and said ‘bad skin stop hurting’. When that just made things worse she apologized to the skin for hurting it more and her friend felt all the pain go away.

- Your character is a Pureblood, which means that they do not mingle with the muggle world, and are heavily in the wizarding world. In addition, you stated that Poppy was homeschooled and had no friends because their parents kept them secluded. Why does she have friends all of a sudden, especially muggle friends?
- Just for transparency, I am speaking with the Index team regarding Poppy's parents fleeing the UK during the rise of Death Eaters. This is not stated in canon, and we want to make sure that your character's background matches HP canon and the HP timeline as much as possible. So as of right now, there is no editing this, but there may be a need to edit it depending on the team's response.
- You have chosen to have a pure-blood character, meaning that your character would have been raised in a completely magical culture. This means they would have no knowledge of electronics, muggle shows/literature, etc. There is even a class at Hogwarts called Muggle Studies because of how different magical culture is from muggle culture. Please edit your biography to reflect your character growing up without any muggle influences, such as using and awareness of muggle technology, or give a really good explanation as to how they would have access to such knowledge.
- You stated "Even though some pure bloods do it she was told time and time again that she must not." This is not true. Any magical bloodline can get into dark magic. Voldemort, for example, was not a Pureblood but a Half-blood and he was into dark magic. Please remove this statement or edit it to say those with magical bloodlines.
- We ask that all students enter Hogwarts with the same beginners level of magical knowledge. This means that your character cannot master spells and other magical subjects. They have the same level of skill as the next first year entering Hogwarts. Please eliminate any mention of your character practicing or knowing spells, and/or having knowledge of magical subjects. This means that her parents would not be teaching her anything before going to Hogwarts.
