Yes that is right, the shelves forum is considered the actual library shelves. So every student can access what your characters put there.
Ency is one option, or you can just start a solo thread in your dorm or so and integrate your diary posts into RP. There are a few options.

Just to follow on to the diary options: if you are ever looking for drama, leaving a diary entry in a public place, and writing a request for RP partners would be a fun way to start an adventure!

a couple of questions - if i and another person RP a thread, could i end it with bai waking up and all of it being a dream? including what the other person wrote?

also someone who is half muggle half pureblood - what is the correct terminology to refer to them? i was writing a reply and for the life of me could not think of the correct term
