Kenneth was an ordinary child or so he thought, though he was always fascinated by the arcane,he didn't think much more of it,he goes to the Ada Harris school located in cardiff's school district. It was by thruogh generic standards a excellent school..He had excellent potential with him aiming to be the same as his parents who were professors at the Metropolitan Cardiff University or 'MCU'.He particularly exceled lin Maths,Biology and English. His parents were celebrated historians and archaeologists. His father was professional cryptobiologist, they were Gordon and Amelia .
amelia was an historian
He lived in a 3 story House, though it can only be called 2 story because the 3rd story was filled with ancient junk.he had not any friends for he preferred solitude. His few friends were close with him and were as fascinated by the arcane as him.He had a pet
'bironius' whom died when he was 9.I .However,I was more of outcast due to my Personality.I had loved to Read.During the summer holidays,I was more often seen in the library then at home.I loved Fantasy, though on a structured magical scale.I had also loved SCI-FI.I was good Learning and was willing to Work hard..I used to explore the places my parents went to before.I had Visited EGYPT,MYOPIA,TURKEY,LONDON,SYRIA,INDIA,ETC.I loved to go to these places. The culture, art language, food and legends especially fascinated me.Gordon had a bit of fame, though not that much though this was mostly due to his parents and his academic track record

On a sunny day on december of 2020,he was trying to draw the useless diagram his teacher told him to draw ,this counted for 50% of his annual score! this was his 7th attempt yet nothing seemed to work . he got more and more worked up till he suddenly screamed in frustration, yet no sound came instead a rain of beautiful sparks ,Kenneth knew then he was truly EXTRAORDINARY!!!

- missing age as compulsory information in your encyclopedia
- the trunk (everything regarding stats, abilities, spells & potions) must be a separate post/reply; please separate it from your first post
- you claim your parents have some fame, even your father being the one to solve Aztec heiroglyphs. There are a few things about this:
- being famous and expecting people to treat you as such is a form of god-modding of the entire playerbase's knowledge, which is against our rules. Therefore, the line "I wasn't bullied because my family was one of the reasons Cardiff was famous" is not allowed. You can claim to have some fame, but not everyone is obliged to know you before they meet you
- there is an actual anthropologist named Gordon Whittaker who accomplished deciphering Aztec heiroglyphs; your father cannot be Gordon Whittaker
- you mention your parents' names as Gordon and Amelia Drake, which assumes their family name/surname is actually Drake and not Gordon like your character's. Please clarify their family name
- your backstory is somewhat unrealistic. Remember that your character has just turned 11 and their abilities are still limited. Authoring masses of books and being the chief writer for a school newspaper during elementary is highly unrealistic for a child below the age of 11. Please amend this
- when you make edits to your backstory, please remember to copy them over to your encyclopedia page

STATUS: Pending, Tristan Theramin, 06 August 2024
In your background, you explained how your parents work for OCHU and that you attend COEI. These do not exist and should be changed to generic schools or to an existing university/school. In addition, your first instance of magic has multiple magical instances, please pick one as your first instance of magic, as it would be too powerful for a seven year old to do all three at once when they have never done magic before. You are still missing your age in your encyclopaedia post. Please make these changes in your original index post instead of posting a new post and as Sereia requested please make these changes in your encyclopaedia as well.
done and done.

One last thing before we can approve your registration, please change or remove the statement that your father cracked animal genetic code and your mother founded the entire tree of hominess, there are actual people who did so, just like Gordon Whittaker, you cannot claim your parents did things other people did.

Less of a change, please add your stats to this form, as well as changing your story on your additional information box to match this new one.

First Instance of Magic: James Hawthorne was born on December the 24th of 2012, right on Christmas Eve, to Arthur and Rachel Hawthorne. He was the first and last child to be born to the couple, which gave him a lot of freedom growing up. His parents were fortunate enough to be able to provide James with a relatively good upbringing, with James never having to face any problems that more unfortunate people would, like not having money to be able to afford dinner.
When he was six, James saw a magician for the first time, and from there became very fascinated by (muggle) magic. Soon after that, his parents bought him a magic trick kit, and before much time passed, James got so good at performing the tricks from the kit that he could move onto more advanced magic. Magic developed into one of James' three main passions, and it was a helpful tool in his pocket, especially considering the fact that it lead him to learning a number useful skills.
It was also around the age of six that James' parents begin taking him to martial arts lessons after he had shown interest in them. They weren't a quick-lived interest either, and over time, martial arts also became one of James' three main passions. He would practice multiple martial arts, and he learned multiple as well, just so that he'd always be ready for any situation.
James's third main passions was parkour, which came to him naturally, as he was doing all sorts of things related to parkour beginning as early as at three years old. The playground was always a nice place to hang out for Rodney, especially if it included monkey bars, and the playground was where he developed his interest in parkour. This, coupled with tree climbing, soon lead to James learning more parkour by climbing buildings and using them as his playground to develop his skills. Bristol was nothing short of places to parkour on, and over time, James learned many tricks that he could use to quickly scale buildings, move to and from them, and swiftly get down to the ground.
Back at home, James always loved his parents, who also loved him in return, and as he grew older, James came to love his parents all the more for what they did for him. Aside for paying for virtually everything for him, within reason, they also spent plenty of time with him whenever they could. They showed James that they loved him not just through their words, but through their actions as we'll, and James felt like the luckiest kid in the world multiple times.

One time, when James was nine, he had been out on the rooftops of Bristol, jumping from building to building in his usual manner as he perfected his parkour skills. At some point however, he made a grave mistake during his takeoff, during which he pushed off with too little power to make it to the other side. He had a five story fall down to the ground, with nothing to cushion it, and James wasn't going away from this without at the very minimum, a few serious, if not fatal, injuries.
Luckily for him though, James was not a muggle, but a wizard, though he did not know it yet. This meant that he had magic running through his veins since birth, and it was this very magic that had managed to save him from this potentially deadly fall. In a feat of fear and regret, knowing that his life was more or less over, James had committed his first instance of accidental magic, turning the hard alleyway underneath him into a safe landing zone. Upon safely landing without any injuries, James himself was confused, as theoretically, this was impossible, and he went on to blame luck for allowing him to land in such a way that had allowed him to escape any harm to his body.

- your stats are missing from your trunk. Please add them in
- your backstory is unrealistic. Yes, anyone can do parkour, even children at young ages, but jumping between builldings (tall or not) before the age of 11 and without adult supervision is highly unrealistic and also incredibly dangerous. Please edit this to something that better suits the age of your character before they come to Hogwarts. This does mean your FIOM will need some tweaks, as well
- when making edits to your backstory here, please remember to copy them over to your encyclopedia page

Will and Robyn Cullen met each other when they were in Hogwarts., and got their little Dove on 2nd Novelber, in 2012. This one has a little brother of 7 years old named Alfie, who looks just like her.
Dove was birn and grew up in Ireland, in the city of Cork. Both of her parents are wizards. Indeed, her mother spent her Hogwarts years in Slytherin while her husband was in Ravenclaw.; so Dove is obviously a Wizard born. During her last 11 years, she had never met a Muggle. She knows nothing about them, their world, how they manage to live without magic, which can seem impossible to this little girl who always lived, and will alway live with it.
At the second Dove could walk, her father didn't hesitate to learn to her how to use a broomstick. He wanted his daughter to play Quidditch, just like he did. However, this didn't turn out how he wanted, because the poor little girl was very scared and realised she was afraid of height. The simple idea of it made her stress, so Quidditch was definitly not made for her. But, because she wanted to do some sport, she used to go at her grandparents house to swim in the lake next to their house. Since this day, she is less scared of it because she know how to appease herself.
Moreover, her little brother Alfie broke his arm when he was only 3 years old, which "traumatised" his big sister. Since this moment, she wants to work at St Mungo's Hospital.

- please remove the blue text from your trunk post. We do not allow any coloured text in trunks
- minor inconsistencies: your backstory says your DOB is Nov 2013 while the birthday mentioned along with your compulsory information and profile card is Nov 2012. Just a matter of changing the numbers
- vertigo isn't caused by fear of flying or sudden movements. Instead, it is more biological. Peripheral vertigo stems from issues with your inner ear or vestibular nerve, or because you have benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), labyrinthitis, vestibular neuritis, or Ménière’s disease. Central vertigo is caused by infection to the brain, stroke, or another traumatic brain injury that then affects the part of the brain that handles motor balance and such. If you want this condition, you need to know what it is and how to write it properly so as to not misrepresent people who actually suffer from vertigo

Camilla Carter is a bright-eyed, eleven-year-old whirlwind of a girl. Hailing from Rochester, her whole world is a curious blend of the muggle and the wizarding. Having grown up with a wizarding author for a father does tend to fill a little girl's head with songs and wonder; even as her muggle mother rooted a large part of their daily life in the mundane. The end result? A girl who is equally at home discussing the latest Quidditch match and soccer. Or Basketba -- okay, so she might like sports a little bit.
Camilla may have had a lot of friends, but her closest friends would always be her extended family. A slew of cousins, aunts, and uncles were always over for as long as she could remember, making her home always filled to the brim with action, excitement, and the pleasant buzz of conversation. In a lot of ways, Camilla's best friends might actually be her cousins.
Hogwarts is a dream come true for Camilla. The prospect of new friends, flying on a broom, and exploring the castle's ancient corridors; the sheer idea of adventure, fills her with an excitement that is simply contagious. While she's eager to dive headfirst into the wizarding world, she’s also a bit of a homebody, finding comfort in the familiar and the repetitive.

Oddly enough, her first instance of accidental magic happened when she had been introduced to basketball at age 8, by some of her older cousins. It was a source of immense frustration to her. Not the game itself, no -- dribbling the ball past larger kids was fun -- but the fact that no matter what she did or how many shots she managed to take, she could never sink a shot. The basket was simply much too high.
After failing at one shot, two shots, four, SEVEN, she could feel frustration building up inside her as hot, angry tears clouded her vision. And then, fuming and on the verge of tears, as she clear the defenders (who were more concerned about he than defending at this point) and jumped to take the shot, she had somehow managed to levitate herself right next to the basket to land her shot.

Giulia has two very different parents, her father is a pureblood who does not accept that Half-Bloods and Muggle-borns are given the opportunity to learn magic.
The mother does not agree with her husband's ideas, in her opinion they are all the same and there is a bit of magic in each of them, but she does not express her ideas freely.
Even though with these parents, Giulia has still managed to form her own idea of the world, she has no problems with pure-bloods and half-bloods, as regards Muggle-borns she still has some doubts, but she doesn't go around discriminating against them, she doesn't would never allow.
Returning to the family, Giulia has a cousin, Mattheo, with whom she gets along very well, also in Slytherin in his second year, unfortunately they don't see each other often now because they are both busy with their studies.
Then she has 2 sisters, an older one, a Gryffindor like her, who she can't stand and a younger one, who still has a year to go before receiving the letter, but with whom Giulia has a magnificent relationship.
Giulia only had one friend in London, the only one her father had approved of, she was a nice girl, also a pureblood who is now in the house of Slytherin, which Giulia would also like to have ended up in, but which unfortunately she didn't end up in.
First Instance of Magic:
I was 8 years old when used magic for the first time, it was an accident and one of the many books that was in my library at home accidentally flew into Emma's face, this is because she was angry with me, and being afraid I acted like this, or at least this is the only explanation I can give, I looked at Emma on the floor for a moment with the book next to her, stunned, I was honestly scared, I immediately locked myself in my room and wrote everything in my diary, my parents took it too well, almost as if it were... normal ? I didn't want to know about leaving the room for fear of hurting him again, in the end they managed to convince me and it never happened again.

- as you are registering for First year, you will need an explanation as to why you've been held back; you have already RP'ed during the 2023-2024 school year, hence the explanation is needed. The period in which you could apply and become a Second Year has long passed (before the end of June)
- I see you mentioned in your physical description that you're 160 cm tall. Unfortunately, this is too tall for an 11-year-old as the average height is 4'8" / 142 cm, with the tallest maxing out at 5'0" / 152 cm
- you are one word short of making the minimum that we ask for your backstory (219 < 220). Please write just a little bit more about Giulia's life before coming to Hogwarts
- not sure what the magical part of Giulia's FIOM was, did the book just suddenly launch towards her friend? Please clarify what happened
- font sizes below 100% are not permitted in trunks. Please remove the size=75 coding
- please remove the table coding in your trunk as tables are not permitted
- please either remove the Knockback Jinx and Incendio in your trunk or provide proof of your report card via owl to me
- when you make edits to your backstory, please remember to copy it over to your encyclopedia
STATUS: Pending, Sereia, 7 August
- To reiterate: your character has already existed in the 2023-2024 school year, but you are only registering for Index now when graduation has long passed. This means we need an in-character (IC) reason as to why Giulia was held back and had to redo First Year. No, we do not allow you to move up now because the window for that already passed (end of June)
- We still need you to remove the size and table coding in your trunk
- Your report card only has proof for Incendio and the Pompion Potion, not the Knockback Jinx. Please remove the Knockback Jinx
- when you make edits to your backstory, please remember to copy it over to your encyclopedia

Aria has a great life outside of Hogwarts. She lives with her mother and her little brother, Keith. While Keith can be very annoying, he is her only sibling, so they mostly get along. Aria's mother is the kindest, most thoughtful soul in the whole world. Sometimes Aria had trouble expressing it, but she loves her mother with all her heart and appreciates everything her mother does for the kids. Aria's father passed away a few months after Keith was born. Aria still remember her father sometimes, and deep down, wishes he was still here. Aria doesn't really have many friends since she is homeschooled. But she does have one friend: Sami. Sami is Aria's best friend in the entire world. They are next door neighbors and have grown up together. Sami and Aria have never been apart, so it is going to be difficult when Aria moves to live at Hogwarts, and leaves Sami behind, since Sami's family is moving to another country to attend Durmstrang. Since Aria and Sami are best friends and have never been apart, this will be a scary change for the both of them. Sami and Aria have always been one house apart. They always paint enchanted paintings together, have tea parties, and always are there for each other. But now it's time for a new chapter in Aria's life. Only the best wizards and witches in the whole world were able to be accepted into Hogwarts, and Aria was now one of them.
First Instance of Magic:
When Aria was seven years old, she was a very happy girl. She loved to dance, and act, but she especially loved to sing. One day she was alone in her room singing her favorite song, when her brother Keith busted into the room with a sour face. He screamed at Aria to shut up and stop singing. Aria was so angry! Her singing sounded beautiful and her brother was not being very polite. She stared intently into her brother's eyes. Aria was so angry and almost didn't notice when his glasses cracked. Keith stopped yelling, took off his glasses and stared at them. He smiled at Aria and said, "Your a wizard, Aria."
I am a hard worker. I am a good friend. I do my best. I am enough.

After conversing with other members of the team, it has been noted that as a wizardborn character, you would normally grow up mostly in the wizarding world and not interact with muggles as much. Please explain why and how you were able to interact with muggles such as your best friend, perhaps by explaining the blood status of your parents or your grandparents. For example, your grandparents on one side of the family may be muggles and they live next door to someone who has kids, and that is why you met your best friend and interacted with muggles.

You’re almost there! Sami would not be able to be in Durmstrang if you were next door neighbours, because they do not accept students from the UK. Perhaps, her family moved to Germany? I’m gonna have to ask to change your story again! Make sure to update any changes you’ve made to your ency post, and under your profile as always.

Whilst homeschooling is allowed in extreme circumstances (see our explusion system here [link]), it would be best for Sami to attend another magical school if it was not Hogwarts. This is because without proper training, and thereby suppressing magic within a home environment, can be detrimental to a person, and something we would advise against.

Cooper's childhood has been looking rather bleak. Born on the 20th of April in 2013, he's the only child of Jim and Aileen Kirby, both of whom had decided to wait until they were more secure in a home of their own. In some people's unwanted opinions, they had waited too long and deprived their son of a sibling.
With Aileen having been a wanderer in her youth, she hadn't quite been ready to settle down until a near accident on the highway inspired her to chase after change. She was the one who proposed and—forgoing tradition—her husband took her surname. Currently, she works in the local library as a librarian and archivist. Jim, on the other hand, has always been more of a homebody. He likes to think himself a budding gardener, but he hasn't figured out how to keep his plants alive yet. The most he's been able to grow is basil and some cacti. He's been working on growing mint which has made their home smell strongly of it. Cooper is mostly being raised by his stay-at-home father who's been able to make money by writing articles at home.
Due to his family's nontraditional dynamics, Cooper has been alienated by children his age in Ladbroke. Either by parental influence or by their own choice, they view him and his parents as decidedly strange.
Before a professor from Hogwarts came to explain what exactly was occurring around Cooper, he was (mostly) content to spend his days off school in the family room of his home reading comic books while his mum clicked away at her laptop and his dad anxiously hovered over that week's dying potted plant.

Cooper's first instance of accidental magic wasn't much or overly interesting on the surface. To him, however, he considers it the most important moment of his life.
At eight, he had been walking home from the library with a newly borrowed comic issue. With his head bent, distracted, he was completely unaware of everything around him; he was simply too busy reading about Batman and his villain of the week. It was only when he arrived inside of his home and his dad met him with a towel that he realized it had been raining outside the entire time. Feeling anxious and confused, he lied for the first time in his life and claimed he was walked home by one of mum's coworkers who had an umbrella.
Unknown to him, he had been surrounded in a bubble. What he did know was that the rain never once touched him or the comic.
Over the years, before his letter of acceptance and a professor shadowed their front door, Cooper was convinced he had been mistaken and was misremembering what happened. Maybe he really had been walked home by his mum's coworker? His attempts to make it happen again were all failures and nearly always resulted in lectures from his parents and him sick.

Character Backstory: Domitius was born within the family home to an older brother, a mother and a father. As a crescent, Domitius was held to high standards, but he showed the same early potential as his older, successful brother. As such, his family expected him to grow in magic at the same pace as his older brother had. Domitius was never able to reach those standards, never quite understanding something as fast as his brother. Domtiius, as such, often disappointed his parents, who urged him to try harder, to be just like his older and perfect brother. This put a lot of stress on the young boy, but despite that, Domitius kept trying and trying and trying.
Eventually, this would lead to the accident with his first instance of magic. The flames surprised Domitius and scared him at the time. Thinking he could have accidentally hurt his parents if the flames were bigger. An understandable fear for a child. His parents, though, knew something had to change and had discussions with his Aunt. It was then decided that Domitius would go live with his Aunt instead, who would take over caring for him. This worked as intended; his stress went down, he was learning what parts he was doing right, and he finally had someone to bounce thoughts off and guide him to what he didn't quite understand. Over the years, Domitius grew to see his aunt as a second mother, calling her Aunt Lunar instead of his actual name.
First Instance of Magic: Stress at a young age is never good, more so at the level Domitius had, sometimes staying up late to just TRY and understand that one little thing. But all it took was one argument too much for Domitius to just snap. During one of his arguments with his parents about how he was talking about how he was trying his best, so wasn't that enough? His parents shut it down, saying if he was trying his best, he would be doing as great as his brother had. Domitius couldn't hold it, shouting at his parents as his right foot stomped. However, in this instance, upon stomping a small circular wave of fire shot out in all directions from said foot.

Application for Part-Veela:
ReducioHi there! My name is Ombeline Evans, and I want to share why I think I should be recognized as a part-Veela! My story is a bit different from most kids, but I hope you enjoy reading about it!
So, to start, I have this magical thing called a Veela heritage. You see, my mom, Dana, is a real Veela, which means she has special magic and is super beautiful! Sadly, she left me when I was born, and my dad doesn’t talk about her much. I really want to learn more about her and what it means to be part-Veela, so I can understand myself better.
First of all, I think I have some of the special traits that come with being a part-Veela! I have long, curly brown hair that reaches all the way down to my hips, and my eyes are a mix of green and blue, which makes them stand out. When I walk into a room, people often look at me and say, “Wow!” I can feel that magic inside me, even if I don’t know how to use it all the time.
One cool thing about being a part-Veela is that I can sense how other people are feeling. It’s like having a superpower! If someone is sad or upset, I can almost feel it too, which makes me want to help them. Sometimes, when I’m really emotional, like when I’m angry or upset, I notice that people start to pay more attention to me. It’s like I have a magical charm that draws them in! I guess that’s a little bit of the Veela magic shining through.
However, being a part-Veela isn’t always easy. Veela are known for being fierce and sometimes a bit scary when they get angry. I have a fiery side too! Sometimes, when I feel hurt or misunderstood, I can get into arguments with my friends or even my dad. I really want people to understand me, but it’s hard to find the right words. I can be a bit of a tomboy and love adventures, but that doesn’t always help me connect with others.
I often think about my mom, Dana, and the magical life she must have had. She was beautiful and charming, and everyone loved her. I wonder if she ever felt lonely like I do. By learning more about my part-Veela heritage, I hope to discover more about my mom’s life and why she made the choices she did. Maybe understanding her story will help me find my own path!
Another reason I want to embrace my part-Veela side is that I really want to belong somewhere. I feel like I don’t fit in either the Muggle world or the wizarding world. I want to connect with other kids who understand what it’s like to have a special heritage. Being a part-Veela means I can have a link to a magical community and make friends who share my experiences.
In the end, I believe that becoming a part-Veela will help me learn about myself and my family. I want to celebrate my magical side and find out how to use my abilities to connect with others. Even though my life has been a little lonely, I’m ready for an adventure to discover who I am and where I come from!
Thank you for reading my application! I can’t wait to embrace my part-Veela heritage and see what magical adventures await me!
Character Backstory:
Reducio
Ombeline Evans was born on a sunny day in Sherborne, England, but that brightness quickly dimmed for her as she entered a world filled with unanswered questions. The moment she took her first breath, her mother, Dana, was nowhere to be found. Dana had left her baby girl behind, leaving only her name whispered like a ghost in the shadows of Ombeline’s life. This absence created a chasm in Ombeline’s heart, a feeling of longing that she couldn’t quite put into words. All she knew about her mother was what little her father, Lukas, begrudgingly shared: that she was a Veela, a magical being known for beauty and charm.
Lukas, a successful lawyer, was often consumed by his work, leaving Ombeline to navigate the complexities of life alone. Their home felt cold and distant, filled with the echo of unspoken words. Lukas rarely paid attention to his daughter; he seemed more interested in his cases than in her well-being. When Ombeline dared to ask about her mother, his face would darken, and he would quickly change the subject or dismiss her with a wave of his hand. This only fueled Ombeline’s resentment towards him. She hated how he treated her, how he kept secrets about the woman she desperately wanted to know.
With no grandparents to offer comfort—both had passed away before or shortly after her birth—Ombeline felt isolated. The only family she had left were distant relatives she had never met. Lukas had no siblings, and she was aware of the void that was her mother’s side of the family. She often sat alone in her room, surrounded by toys that felt more like relics of a life unlived, wondering about the family she would never know.
At school, Ombeline struggled to make friends. The other children saw her as different, perhaps because of her fiery spirit or the sadness that lurked behind her bright green-blue eyes. She found it hard to relate to them, often feeling misunderstood and judged. The only person who truly understood her was Jack, her childhood friend. Jack was a Muggle, and while he had no magic of his own, he had an unwavering loyalty that made her feel less alone. They would spend hours together playing video games, getting lost in their own little world, where magic didn’t matter. With Jack, Ombeline could be herself, free from the weight of her family’s secrets.
Despite her strong-willed nature, Ombeline often felt a deep sense of loneliness. She longed for a connection to her magical roots, but the absence of her mother made that search feel impossible. She would often dream of her mother, imagining what it would be like to talk to her, to understand her choices. Those dreams were both a comfort and a source of pain. The more she yearned for answers, the more isolated she felt.
As she grew older, Ombeline discovered her own magical abilities. It all started one summer day during an argument with Lukas about her mother. In a fit of anger, she threw a book, and to her shock, it caught fire. That moment sparked something inside her—a desire to explore the magic that flowed through her veins. Yet, even as she embraced her powers, the lack of guidance left her feeling more alone than ever.
In the depths of her solitude, Ombeline began to carve her own path. She took up martial arts, finding strength and confidence through judo and karate. She poured herself into her hobbies, including playing war video games that let her escape the real world and immerse herself in adventure. But underneath that tough exterior lay a girl who craved connection, understanding, and love—a girl who felt like a puzzle missing too many pieces.
Ombeline’s life was a constant battle against her feelings of isolation. She wanted to uncover the mysteries of her lineage and learn what it truly meant to be part-Veela. She believed that if she could understand her magical heritage, it would help her feel whole again. So, she vowed to seek out her mother’s story, no matter how difficult the journey might be. With Jack by her side, Ombeline was ready to face the challenges ahead and find her place in a world that often felt like it had no room for her.
First Instance of Magic:
ReducioShe discovered her magic one summer day. She threw a book on the ground because her father still wouldn't say anything about her mother and the book caught fire; he burned a small child's stuffed toy, which she had to repair.
