FAQ — Questions
Benjamin Mason wrote: 8 Jan 2024, 17:46 Hello everyone! Hope your day is going well so far.
I have a quick question:
Where do wizard-born children go to kindergarten/school before Hogwarts?
I think muggleborns and some half-bloods go to muggle school (Willow is a half-blood and went to public school) But purebloods are usually homeschooled until they go to Hogwarts.

Ok, let this be the finalizing answer to that question.
Kids growing up in the muggle world have the option to go to muggle school.
Kids growing up in the wizarding world would be homeschooled.

FAQ — Questions
Ahhhh gotcha. Okay I have to redo that part then, I was under the impression that they did until they showed first signs of magic. Wait I have a question then! What if they belong to a pureblood family but never show signs of magic? Do they keep going to wizarding schools and not muggle schools? I'm talking about before they turn 11. Do they keep getting homeschooled by their parents then?

I'm talking about worlds, not bloodstatus. If we have a kid being born to two wizards, but parents die and kid ends up with the squib aunt in the muggle world, a pureblood kid could go to muggle school.
It depends solely on where they were brought up, muggle or wizarding world.
There are no wizarding elementary schools, they can only be homeschooled in the wizarding world.

Hey so I was just wondering. Once you’ve already been registered with index n stuff, you can’t become a new special race right? Like for example with me, I’m Metamorphmagus so I could re-apply to become parselmouth right?

You need to pick a special race or talent as a part of your registration. You cannot reapply to change that, no.
