Hmm, if I'm buying something from a shop, how do I pay?

If you mean OOC shops, you buy in Apothecary potato peelings on necessary amount of money, then in trunk (the one with your items, not in ency) choose them and choose 'give'. There in list choose person who is owner of shop and send it to him/her.

Will is able to change even the lines on our palms

At honeydukes, in hogsmead. As a first year you need a fake permission form to get there.

I haven't been on site in a while so I just need to check on something. iNPCs arrived at Hogwarts for the fall ball, but is it possible that your inpc didn't go? Not just to the ball, but to Hogwarts in general
