I think the circumstances were never really black and white enough to say "Opeila was bad". The mother's day thing was a nice intention. She let in the Ravenclaw because he helped her carry library books back to her common room because her bag broke and they all landed in the snow, Opeila didn't want to ruin them. And the party... Well, people did worse than her XD Erik literally tried to disappear in a cloud of smoke and Percy Gray threw a newspaper at Nora XD Opeila just grabbed food and ran XD
Oh right, and one first year asked Nora for firewhiskey.
