The notification pops up/resets every night at midnight (for whatever time zone you have set), so yes.

Indeed, it does not have anything to do with when it will register for you. The notification reminder is set the same for everyone (or should be). Usually aligning it with when you get your monies is a good plan but generally you seem to do well with whatever system you had been doing up until last week so it might be an abnormality.
