Children Of Chaos
Alr time to lock in: Harry and Neville are victims of Voldemort's actions yes, but Tom Riddle is a victim of the circumstances and the environment that helped create him. Those are two different stages of the same story. Besides, Tom learnt earlier on he was conceived under a love potion so he had to learn that he was not wanted, he was isolated and made under desperation.Lily Clarke wrote: 2 Jun 2026, 20:42Exactly, he was downright evil.... Downright.... He knew how to do anything and everything except love and cherish people of his own... U say he was abandoned, I agree... But what bout the other two kids, Neville and Harry, whose parents HE OR HIS FOLLOWERS killed/tortured??Tes Cadell wrote: 2 Jun 2026, 20:40Icl it's the Wizarding World's fault tho like you could see he was special since he joined Hogwarts like at what point does a 6th year ask about HORCRUXES and you don't report him???? I'm getting into my literature mode but if you really think about it and the writier's intention behind Hagrid's expulsion, it actually symbolises the fear that institutional authorities have towards Tom because I can tell you they knew he was different from the start but chose to not act upon it but as he grew, they learnt his true power and began to fear it without necessarily displaying it publicly. They have done this instead of supporting him which shows that Hagrid's expulsion is his own rebellion on this ideology after he caught up on it. At this point, Tom genuinely thinks he is isolated even in the magical world because even they think he is too different for them. So he is asking "Where do I truly belong?"
